Seattle has long been rich in Asian cuisines such as Thai, Korean and Vietnamese, but Japanese food has been slow to take root. Being obsessed with Japanese culture and cuisine, we wanted to help change this.
At boom, we offer fresh ingredients, and recipes that are authentically Japanese or inspired by trends that we have noticed during our travels and dining in Tokyo. From hot soup and noodles, to items prepared on the wok, to chilled noodle dishes, to a variety of small plates, we hope we have created a healthy range of options for everyone.
In Japan today there is a popular term, "my boom" that means, "The thing I am currently obsessed with." Our "my boom" is Japanese cuisine, and we are grateful to you for letting us create our food for you.
"My favorite, Vietnamese Noodle salad noodles were never cooked enough before. Now that they have changed the type of noodles, it is fully cooked and I'm liking the salad again. We stopped going for awhie because of this. My friend said her Pad Thai had too much sauce."

"Hits and misses with the food. The spring rolls were so tiny, four bites and you are done with the appetizer. On the other hand the pot stickers were delicious and there were 6 nice sized ones on the plate. My noodle soup with curry and chicken had too many noodles and zero chicken, not even one piece. The server brought me some slices of chicken on the side but they were dry. My daughter enjoyed her teriyaki chicken with rice and salad. I had been to Boom Noodle about a year ago and I thought the food and service was better then."

"I always loved the Vietnamese noodle salad, but it has steadly gone down hill. The noodles never are cooked enough. This was not just experienced today but for months now. I loved that salad and always thought it would get better or back on track. I usually go with several of my friends who are of different Asian ethnicities and they all agree that the noodles are not cooked enough (so it's just not me)."
