"Great food and friendly, knowledgeable staff. We let our waiter choose what to bring us and each dish was fantastic. Only downside it gets pretty hot and stuffy in the restaurant once it gets busy."

"Brought here by a friend and I was impressed. Ordered most of their signature courses, including the duck buns and lobster foo yung. Both were very good. The Cha Ca La Wong stole the show though-- incredibly fresh tasting, light, and really very powerful. Even the foo yung, which was delicious, seemed somewhat simple and unimpressive by comparison. Dessert was a treat, too, as the duck fat roasted ice cream showed me I have not yet seen everything you can do with ice cream.
Service was great. The waitress was attentive but gave us enough space while offering her opinion on the menu items and engaging in light conversation.
My only real complaint is that the restaurant very quickly became somewhat loud and it was difficult to hear."

"Our group of four went back to Wong for our second visit to try the duck dinner: a multi-course feast employing duck in several different ways (from consomme to roasted breast to duck fat ice cream). It was exceptional. To get it the restaurant requires at least 48 hours notice, as only the head chef and owner Simpson Wong are able to prepare it. The service was somehow even better than the fantastic experience we had during our first visit. Highly recommend this place, and highly recommend the duck dinner."

"One of the best meals I've had in a long time. The food was creative, extremely flavorful and we will definitely be back. Order several items and share as the ones we tried were delicious and we look forward to trying the rest of the menu! Try the drinks also as they are unusual and tasty!"

"We have become regulars and every meal at this restaurant is exceptional. While everything that comes from the kitchen is excellent, they served us one the best fish dishes we have ever had, monkfish tail. Even those of us who generally do not love fish found this dish amazing. The shrimp fritters, duck buns, lobster egg foo young are all exceptional. The room is fun and casual and the service always a pleasure."

"We have been gong to Wong regularly for the past several months. It is consistently excellent. Every dish that comes out of the open kitchen excels. Duck buns, lobster egg foo young, pork belly, monkfish, any noodles dish, all always excellent. Great drinks, and a very friendly, professional staff add to the feeling that you are at a fun neighborhood bar party, which happens to serve exquisite creative cuisine."

"AMBIENCE: Lighting and ambience was great BUT the music was terrible and they must rethink the playlist. The beautiful open kitchen and overall aesthetic is just ruined by the cheesy, un-thoughtful music -- major miss.
SERVICE: Also, the service was spotty and it felt haphazard, the oddly-phrased menu needs someone who can explain and suggest with authority....this didn't happen. Overall, however, the servers were nice.
FOOD: I really enjoyed most of the dishes but again better suggestions from the server would have helped steer us toward better choices for our palettes. Some dishes veered toward bland rather than flavorful, and I wish the chef would have been more bold with the use of spice, for example."

"Went here for Valentines 2013. Sampled the Duck Bun, Cha Cha La Wong, Lobster Egg Foo Young, and the side of cauliflower. Each dish was incredibly flavorful and delicious. My girlfriend and I are adventurous eaters and I must say this place sits right on the line between exotic and comfortable eating. As an added bonus, the drinks specials work well with each dish."

"Noisy place, with a great set of smells emanating from the open kitchen. Very good food, but the boisterous atmosphere, amplified by the hard surfaces around, was overpowering conversation. One of my companions had to repeatedly go outside for air since the kitchen smells, though delicious to some, made it hard to breathe for this person.
The food was very good, but I'd rather eat later than prime time with less crowd and more air to breathe."

"We had a great meal. This place looks and feels like a fun neighborhood bar until the food starts coming. Then it is a first-rate restaurant. Duck buns, an amazing new twist on crabs legs, Typhoon Lobster, one more delicious and interesting than the next. "OMG. Finally an Asian restaurant without the typical menu selections and the word "Fusion" attached to it! I would characterize WONG as nouveau Asian. The lobster with minced pork was smothered with the flavorful pork and delicious. Large chunks of lobster (still in the shell but easy to get to with the little forks) were delicious. We also had the duck (which the restaurant is known for) -- again an excellent dish. And I'm a vegetable lover, so the cauliflower and (Chinese) spinach were wonderful as well. We never made it to dessert -- too much food from the main course. My friend had a wonderfully made cocktail and a nice glass of wine (I was drinking herbal tea that night). It's a bit pricey but worth more than they charge."
