Piatto Ristorante is owned and operated by John Marion Carrabba of the famed Carrabba family, who created the menu from recipes passed down through four generations. The home-style Italian food found at Piatto Ristorante pleases the palate, as well as touches the heart. John personally oversees all details, making sure that his guests have a fantastic culinary experience. Piatto Ristorante offers full-service catering, private banquet rooms, box lunches and delivery at both locations, Piatto Galleria and Piatto Royal Oaks.

"Fantastic place. The food is just like what I eat when I'm in Italy. The service is outstanding. The owner makes every guest feel as if they were a treasured member of his family. Sure to go back many more times.
I drive 60+ miles and by numerous other Italian restaurants because this place is simply the best in Houston. Everyone I've taken there has loved it and when they visit it is a must."

"Overall, it was alright, but there are so many other Italian restaurants that I'd rather go to because they're great as opposed to Piatto -- which was just alright. If it was really convenient, ie, I was at/needed to stay near the Galleria and wanted a sit-down Italian, I'd probably return, but I won't go out of my way for their food."

"I've been going to Piatto for years. It is good, but not terrific. The service was fine, but like most restaurants, I don't like the plates of other diners being taken away until all are finished. We felt rushed and I didn't appreicate a 20% gratuity being added to each of our bills. I usually give at least 20%, but wasn't a big fan of the wait staff taking this initiative."

"Drove by this place a million times and finally decided to go there for Valentine's Day weekend. When I first walked in, I was surprised by how small it seemed on the inside. Don't get me wrong, there's plenty of room at your table, but the main eating area is all one room and it wasn't what I expected. The food was delicious, and the menu had a lot of choices. The service was also wonderful, and everyone was friendly. When we were done eating and finishing our bottle of wine, the owner was walking around talking to all of the guests. It was a wonderful place to eat, and I know I'll be returning. The only downside was that there is literally no place to park. You have to valet or you walk a long ways (valet is free)!"

"Took my wife here for Valentine's Day. We got to the restaurant 30 minutes before our reservation and they sat us down without a question. The food is great and we knew it would be good when we saw Johnny Carrabba was the owner.
The asparagus appetizer was delicious but so was everything we ordered. Quite a selection of desserts too. Definitely recommend!"
