"One of the most exquisite meals I have had; bested only by Vegas' L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon and NYC's Le Bernadin. Small wonder one must look for the 3-week window and make a reservation at that time. Each item is 8 or so different tastes that taste great together. Service as fantastic as the food. We'll be back."

"We finally strayed from having the usual sushi which is so good it's hard to stay away from.
We had a variety of dishes, all very small so you need quite a few but they were all delicious. The brussels sprouts are the best I've ever had.
The taster menu is the best and worth the expense.
Love this place."

"The food at Uchi is beyond EXCELLENT!! Every dish we ordered, and we ordered many to share at our table, was unbelieveable! The 'Foi Gras'is a MUST!!! I haven't had foi gras as good as that since Paul Bocuse's restaurant in Lyon, France. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!!"

"Uchi was incredibly delicious. It was kinda neat to pull up to what is essentially the old Felix Mexican restaurant site on Westheimer & Montrose. We made an early reservation (6:00pm) and when we arrived we were seated directly with no wait. Great wait staff. I think about 7 different people delivered our food and each and every person was knowledgeable and explained what we were about to indulge in. We went with the suggested 6 course deal ($91.00 for two of us was plenty of food and included dessert) where we trusted our waiter and out came some stuff that I have never heard of but all of it tasted so amazing. I was so amazed. The pacing was perfect and we stayed for 2 hours. Come visit Uchi and eat probably the best food anywhere"

"The edamame was grilled with an excellent smoky flavor. Hama chili was bursting with citrus flavor with a slight kick! Walu walu was extremely flavorful and a group favorite! We also ordered the zero sen and the spicy crunchy tuna which were enjoyed as well. One individual ordered Unagi and said that it was some of the best he had. We could not stop raving about the crispy brussel sprouts - we ordered seconds! With every delivery, the staff explained every piece of the dish, including details of preparation and recommendations for method of eating, as appropriate. We did not need to use soy sauce one bit, as it seemed it would take away the flavor of the items ordered. Great evening. We'll return!"
