Forcella is an Italian Pizzeria dedicated to the art of making traditional Neopolitan pizza. Double certified pizza master Giulio Adriani creates an assortment of pizzas including Pizza Rosse, Pizza Bianche and Pizza Fritte. We typically offer a selection of around twenty different pizzas. We also offer a variety of antipasti, insalate and an assortment of desserts that are al house made.
"Not all pizzas are created equal! Forcella's pizza is certainely one of the best in town. Fresh, authentic Italian ingredients and real neapolitan recipe make Forcella's pizzas and panuozzi a must. We were there many times, either for dinner or at lunch. Last time we had a wonderful Italian brunch with bufala margherita, kale caesar salad and classic panuozzo. White wines from Campania region are tasty and easy to drink. Desserts are delicious (try the Tiramisu). Service could be more attentive, but is overall good. The ambience is smart and warm, without being too noisy. If you want a very good pizza (also for Italian standards), you can certainely go for it!"

"Good location and that's about it. The food was nothing special. The black kale salad was just green kale with two pieces of parmesan. Again, it's fine, better than Subway, but overpriced for what it is."

"I and 12 friends had a lovely dinner at Forcella on a Monday evening. The food was, per usual, amazing. Our server was delightful, making suggesstions that were right on point and not overselling anything. The wine suggesstions were perfect and he even brought us a beautiful and delicious assortment of deserts gratis. A perfect place for excellent food and service with zero attitude and a chill but fun atmosphere. Can not recommend enough."

"Thought this place wa going to be great with their Italian food... We were planning on eating dinner there but after we waited for our appetizers to come out (which took way longer than expected) we decided that it was just okay. We had the aranchini which was way too doughy and a bit over cooked and hardly any cheese or other veggies you usually find in aranchini. We also got fried calamari... Again nothing spectacular. I was a bit disappointed so we decided to leave and go eat out main meal some place else."

"The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and the prices are totally reasonable. We were a large group and they were able to accomodate us with no issues (we made a reservation at the beginning of the week)."

"They were short-staffed and I didn't get waited fast enough, but they were so nice I didn't actually feel I was being ignored. They were some of the best restaurant staff I've ever met."

"Terrific menu. We went for the pizza, & they did not disappoint. We started with the four-cheese rice ball appetizer. Very light & flavorful - savory without being filling. We had three pizzas for four people, seemed to be just right. We tried the margarita, spagnoli (ham and artichoke) and the fried pizza. Wonderfully thin crust baked to perfection, and a ripe marinara light on the salt. Chose a bottle of nero d'avoli (ok on the price, and a better deal than the Tuscan wines). Wine list limited but appropriate for the menu. Dessert was outstanding - gelato and a hazelnut torte. Every bite better than the last. Service was really quite good - there was a large group behind us & we worried about delays, but staff was attentive and prompt."

"Arrived and was seated right next to the door. Was absolutely freezing the whole time as people walked in and out. Ordered our drinks - a bellini and a beer and the caprese salad. the salad came before our drinks, and the pizza we ordered came less than 5 minutes after the appetizer. The table was so small we had to give up the appetizer so the pizza could be set down. At this point, still didnt have our drinks. Reminded the waiter who brought them out 10 minutes later with no apology. Pizza was good, but service and ambience was less than mediocre"

"There are a lot of pizzas to choose from. I tried the burrata, prosciutto and arugula pizza and the margherita with mushrooms. The toppings were so heavy and wet the crust turned to mush. The burrata was delicious. I had maybe two mushrooms on my pizza and a few sprigs of basil. I had higher expectations since there are so many pizza places and this is the supposed specialty. I was hoping the salads would offer a break from the cheese but there is only one salad on the menu without cheese."

"My husband and I often look for a place to eat in this neighborhood after seeing a movie at Landmark Sunshine, so being pizza lovers, I made a reservation on a friday night. The good news is that they seated us immediately and the waitress was perfectly nice. But as we perched on our tall chairs, seated between a couple on a first date and two young women, I realized that we were in East Village Saturday night land, a world populated by well under 40's. And we are somewhat over that mark. So just be advised.... Otherwise, the pizza was REALLY good. I kept trying to figure out where I had had that almost fluffy, somewhat chewy, just a bit sweet and just a bit charred crust before...Italia! Next time, we'll go during the week."

"We loved this place! The Fried NY Pizza was just amazing - it's like pizza on a zeppole. Just when you think pizza can't get better it does. We also had the kobe sliders which were very good. It's a great place to bring people visiting NYC."

"This was a great place to go for a birthday dinner with friends. The food was delicious and very easy to share dishes. I especially recommend the fried pizza (weird, I know); it was outstanding! While the service was quite slow, we didn't really mind as it allowed the evening to continue. However, if you are looking for a quick dinner, then you will be disappointed."

"This was a good spot. We were a bit annoyed at first because we got seated at 9:50 for a 9:30 reservation, but the owner/head chef made up for it by sending us a complimentary pizza not on the menu as we sat down. I thought that was a very nice gesture, considering they were packed that night and couldn't rush the patrons in our reserved table to hurry along."

"This was my first time at Forcella Bowery. It was recommended to me by a colleague --since it's close to our office. The pizza was delicious, especially the fried pizza -- so delicate! The service - quirky, but in a good way! Nice wine list! And the space is very nice -- lovely high ceilings --tables not cramped at all!"

"Simply great pizza from Naples. Great service and perfect food, but the ambiance could be improved upon, as tiled floors and a roomful of glass- and steel-covered furniture, tables and objects are not always welcome when one wants to relax, and especially during a frigid winter. The look is creative, but not functional"
