We will be participating in Restaurant Week during the week of April 28 - May 5th 2013! Please come and join us. As a side note, we at mb offer a $30 Prix Fixe menu daily throughout the year.
Market Bistro is an inviting neighborhood restaurant, located in Jericho, New York. Our objective is to offer quality, market-driven, seasonal contemporary American food. Our chefs will strive to use the freshest ingredients, emphasizing seasonal and local, whenever possible. The focal point of the restaurant is our exciting looking bar which will feature a wine list of local and international wines and a great roster of draft and bottled beers from regional small batch brewers. We will offer the same soul-satisfying type food, relaxed atmosphere , hospitality and value that we bring to you at our sister restaurant, West End Cafe.

"My husband and I have been to this restaurant several times and will return again and again. The menu has options for every palate and each and every dish is wonderful, fresh and delicious! The atmosphere is comfortable and relaxed and they have a beautiful bar. Overall it is a great restaurant that I genuinely recommend."

"I have been going back to Market Bistro since they first opened and they never disappoint. They have been refining and perfecting the menu. The craft beer selection has been expanding. The food has been great and very consistent. The service has also been top notch. A bit of a hidden gem, quickly becoming a neighborhood staple."

"This is a very NYC style restaurant in a small shopping mall! This was a very quiet Tuesday night, but I understand it can be crowded and noisy on more popular nights. The wine list is well priced and presented by wine "weight" and not price, important to an oenophile like me. I will go back.."

"After trying this restaurant for lunch, I HAD to try for dinner and it was just as amazing if not better than my previous experience. I was a little unsure of why I hadn't received a "sharper knife" for my short ribs but once my dish was served I understood why. Definitely a restaurant to try..."

"Really great surprise never been here and was very pleased with the execution of the dishes and the service. Food was spot on and delicious. Only disappointment wad the LI duck breast was only one side of the breast and felt was over priced for the amount of meat and when u told the waiter his reply was "that's how we do it". Overall the dish was great, just wish it had the full duck breast."

"My sister and I had a scrumptious dinner before going to the theatre. Everything from the snack to the dessert was delicious. I also love the fact that they do not have salt and pepper on the table, which is a sign of a good restaurant. Your food should be served perfectly seasoned. You are there to enjoy your evening, and the less you have to do, the better. Our waiter was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Try the bison sliders...dee-lish! I also love that they make all of their desserts on the premises. I will be a frequent guest at Market Bistro and have already told several people about it. I know you will have a good time whatever the reason you go; lunch, dinner, or the bar."

"The service could have been better. We asked for olive oil 3 times and it never came. Our dinners all came out at different times and my husbands veal chop had to go back because it was very fatty..My dinner was amazing. I had the chilled calamari and the tilefish.That said, the place is lively and the atmosphere is great. We would give it another shot!"

"The food is consistently good here. If there is something to improve upon it would be to not rush the food to the table to create a more relaxing experience. The minute the app was finished the entree was placed. We were finished in under an hr!"

"Great food, good ambiance, attentive service without being overbearing. We had the country pate (yum!), mussels app (sauce was so good), short ribs and shrimp risotto. Everything was delicious and hot. Nothing to complain about. We went at 6pm on a Sunday, so lots of children. Music was not overly loud, as many restaurants tend to do. I would definitely go back again...I want to try the chicken wings!"

"The menu changes all the time using locally sourced products. Recently added Tuna Tartare and Duck Gnocchi were extremely good. Our teenagers (17 & 13) are the first to suggest we go here for dinner knowing that even if there isn't something new on the menu they want to try (like the Roasted Shrimp over Mushroom Rissotto that my 13 son had on our most recent visit) that they can always get the Bistro Burger w/ Fries which is one of the best burgers around (and can now be had with various toppings including cheese, bacon, etc.). At the end of the meal the warm chocolate cake w/ homemade salted caramel ice cream or freshest biscotti are always a hit (and the recently added cinnamon creme brûlée was one of the best we've had.)"

"Good restuarant. They honored the reservation within 15 minutes of arriving. The only down side is that the chef will not change anything to the planned dishes. If you dont eat the side vegetable the chef wont change it. So you can get an accopaniment that you wont eat. They need more flexabilty."

"Located in a typical strip mall, Market Bistro is light years away from food you'd expect from the joints that inhabit a strip mall. We were shown to a nice round corner table. Although the restaurant seemed empty at first it quickly filled up. I think as a result service was not as sharp as I'd expect - we had to wait on bread basket refills, drinks refills, and one appetizer order (soup) arrived late and without the garnish. Despite these quibbles, the food was outstanding,(except one member of our party found his food too salty and my main dish was oversalted in spots) the ambiance lovely-so well decorated - gives the appearance of a place with a high ceiling - you feel totally transported away from the strip mall."

"We had gone back as we enjoyed our first dinner with friends. We brought another couple - all were disappointed. The food was just fair and the service was lacking. It became so noisy that you couldn't carry on conversation at the table. I wouldn't go back."

"Market Bistro has an outstanding selection of offerings, appetizers, small plates, entrees and desserts as well as an impressive wine list. The service is friendly and professional.
I have visited the restaurant several times with friends, who are real connoisseurs of good food, and they have been greatly impressed with Market Bistro. It is a real gem and you don't have to go to Manhattan to get there!"

"For the $ of dishes, one would expect professional, courteous, engaging service. Not the case. Food was very heavy and minimal options for health-conscious foodies. Staff should be required to taste all of the dishes so they are more knowledgeable about the menu. Unimpressive experience. Wish the server pointed out the blackboard on the left when I asked if there were any specials - it wasn't until I was ordering desert that I looked over my shoulder and saw the selection of meat & cheese selections."
