"Had no expectations going in, but expectations were raised when entered a visually appealing restaurant and enjoyed really tasty appetizers. Entrees didn't quite meet those raised expectations. Steamed sea bass with Chinese broccoli and soy ginger sauce was good, but my daughter's lo mein with chicken lacked flavor. Extensive menu, good service and was a good experience overall, so will definitely try, again!"

"My husband and I dined at this restaurant in which I had the beef tenderloin and sea scallops which were to die for! The tenderloin was cooked just right (not overcooked) and the scallops were delish! Will definitely return!"

"When I first went there, I tried my "test" dish, which I try at every Chinese restaurant, and which I have had in 30 or more restaurants around the country. I moved to Dallas after years in San Francisco, which has many very good Chinese restaurants. While all of the other restaurants used a similar recipe for that dish, Howard Wang's was very different, and not to Howard Wang's advantage. I have tried two other dishes there; one was inferior to other versions I have had, and one was quite good. On two occasions, I had terrible waiters; on the last visit, the waiter was very good. The ambiance is very nice. I really want to like this restaurant, but I would like to see it improve in all areas. My recommendation is a weak one."

"We have been looking for a good Chinese for a while and this was great. Starters were tasty although the hot and sour soup was neither hot nor sour. The duck was pretty good although we are more used to a slightly different serving style and the beef was amazing perfectly cooked and tasty. Only downside was that despite booking we had a tiny cramped table very close to others so we will try again on a quieter night"

"Howard Wang's is a good lunch spot for droping in with a friend. I wouldn't suggest this restaurant for a professional business lunch with a client. The food was pretty good, not great. If you're looking for a spot to eat on a regular day and are in the neighborhood, its just fine."
