Romeo's Cafe
Romeo's Café is an intimate and elegantly appointed restaurant in which a maximum of 52 guests are treated to a unique and exceptional dining experience from the minute they enter the room. While there is no set menu, chef and host Romeo Majano has prepared Northern Italian influenced dishes tailored to the tastes of his guests since 1998. Each diner is asked about his or her individual food preferences, tastes and dietary restrictions. Based on their answers, (and Romeo's imagination), a series of 6 gourmet dishes (3 at lunch) are then prepared to order and presented by an award-winning professional service staff. Complemented by a wine list that features predominantly Italian and American selections, the 2 ½ hour dinner is one of the most enjoyable and gastronomically satisfying dining experiences to be found anywhere. Consistently rated among South Florida's top restaurants for food and service, Romeo's Café appeals to those who truly enjoy the art of fine dining.

"This was our first visit to Romeo's Cafe and we (my wife and 2 sons) were very surprised. We did not know what to expect and did not realize there was no printed menu. It was great that Romeo came to our table before dinner and discussed our likes and dislikes and went off and prepared our dinner which was 6 courses. Romeo stopped by several times to ensure we enjoyed ourselves and always insisted that if we do not like it he will make us something else.
The food was fantastic but wine was very pricey, We selected a very nice Brunello Montalcino that paired well with the many courses and a wonderful evening we experienced.
We shall return."

"Even by Miami standards, this was an outlier: I paid $150 per person with a moderately priced wine. At this price you can go to Palme d'or or Milos and eat incomparably better food in a much more comfortable environment, where you will actually SEE the food you are eating and not be exposed to conversations in adjoining tables. This was way too dark, way too close for comfort.
We ate a marinara-like soupy dish of ravioli with crab, overcooked steak of tuna with, what else?, sugary kiwi sauce, a shoe-sole consistent pork loin and overdone duck magret, finishing with a stale pear pie. Had all of this cost $100, I would not be complaining: it does have imagination and gets points for trying; at $150 it's just a swindle."

"This restaurant is a change from the beaten path. Romantic, quaint and delicous are how I would describe this place. Forget what your accustomed to and try the place if you haven't . Some may not handle the surprise of each course but if you're a foodie, you will be rewarded with some incredible dishes."

"No menu, trust Romeo! He'll come to your table, ask what you dislike and make a 6 course menu for you. Bottom line, he's no doubt got a menu in mind for everyone and tweaks as needed, but great idea. We tested it on dessert- choices were chocolate bomb or apple tart, we asked for fresh fruits, got a fabulous selection of super fresh fruits."

"It is nice to be offered the ability to interact with the chef. To learn about him and asked about your likes and dislikes, then trust him to prepare you a series of dishes. I great experience and an excellent alternative to a traditional night out.

"Love the concept. Intimate, romantic ambience with personal service from the chef himself. No menus, the chef comes to your table, introduces himself and inquires about each person's food allergies and dislikes. Once that is squared away, you sit back and enjoy 6 courses of culinary bliss. Great food, great service at a cost of about $100 per person."

"I am a huge foodie and this may have very well been the best meal of my life. I do not have any idea of how it could have been any better. This magnificent restaurant has now been upgraded to the very top!!! I highly recommend it. The closest I have been to this enjoyment was french laundry and this was about 1/4 of the price if that with the same amazing experience. We cannot wait to go back to see whats in store for us next.

"You feel like you're "in the know" dining here. It's an unassuming hidden gem that you're not sure if you want to tell ALL your friends about so they can also experience it - or no one because you're afraid once the word gets out they'll always be booked. Limited seating with a very upscale decor, soft lighting, good music at a pleasant volume. The chef owner personally comes to your table, finds out if there are any allergies and you are served the most delicious plates of quality food - they will provide a different choice for anything you do not like. A true fine dining experience - on a block you would never expect it."

"The restaurant was really nice. I don't recall any other restaurants as nice as this in my life. It was during the first year anniversary of me and my girlfriend, and I wanted to bring her for a special retreat. And guess what, she really love it! And I can't deny, I love it too. It was not very noisy, and the food are really good. We enjoyed very much and drank champagne. It was indeed a beautiful night, in a beautiful restaurant, that we'll never forget."

"Expensive and worth it!An incredible experience begins with the Chef, Romeo, coming to your table and asking if you have any food alergies or food dislikes. He then makes a special six course meal just for the two of you. Every course outstanding and well presented. Service is excellent. A good bottle of wine made it an even better evening.

"The overall experience of the restaurant is great. We have been there more than five times. Please bring a jacket or a sweater as it tends to get very cold.
