"We went to Brasserie 529 on Mother's Day and it was amazingly good. My friend had the waffles and I had the seafood in pastry. Both were great. The chocolate mousse we had for dessert was very rich; we were actually unable to finish it."

"I took my mother out for a pre Mother's Day dinner. We got there early ( 6:30pm) on a Wednesday. We ordered the frog legs and escargots for an appetizer which was amazing in the sauce that came with it. In fact we dipped the fresh bread that we received in it so it would not be wasted. Mom had the flank steak and I had the scallops. The steak came out medium rare which was good for us, but, you may want it cooked a little more. The scallops were cooked perfectly and came with mushrooms that were delicious. The portions seemed a little small at first, but, once we finished we had plenty. In fact we didn't order a dessert. All in all it was a great experience. Can't wait to go back and try the mussels and turtle."

"Being Savannah locals we have talking for some time about goint to Brasserie, I'm so glad we did. We are early diners so we were sat outside, which was perfect. The food was unique, very good tasting and the martini was PERFECT. Yes, Elder Flower in vodka, does work! We were so wrapped up in picking entree' that we forgot to order "sides" if you will. It was an outstanding dining experience."

"Don't miss this place if you are visiting Savannah. The scallops with pan seared risotto cake was cooked to perfection. The lemon and goat cheese gratin was fabulous (although a little undercooked for my liking). My husband loved his steak and gaufrettes. The hanger steak was cooked perfectly. The staff was attentive and knowledgable. Thank you for a delightful and thorough scrumptious dinner."

"We were in town for just one night and selected Brasserie 529 based on OpenTable comments. We were not disappointed. The Charcuterie plate was wonderful, as were our entrees - the best stead I have had in months - and dessert. Put this charming spot on your radar."

"Excellent restaurant, elegant, and perfect for a romantic dinner, with a very attentive staff and a wonderful menu. As a vegetarian, I particularly appreciated the vegetable dish and all of the vegetarian appetizers. My new favorite Savannah restaurant!"

"Great restaurant in an area a bit off the beaten path from the others in the Historic area of Savannah. Prices were what we expected and the food was great. Would eat there again if in Savannah."

"The only thing that did not sit well with us was the number of menu items they were out of. Makes you think that they are having cash flow problems. They were out of 6 to 7 main menu items. Not a great way to start the evening. Other than that all was good and the service was exceptional. Would try it again… PS great bloody Mary …poor pear dessert"

"Wine List was limited, eclectic, thoughtful selections paired well with menu, and reasonably priced. Service knowledgeable and very pleasant. Cool location with convenient parking. Small bar, but good cocktails. Look forward to going back."

"Four of us had a wonderful first experience here and we will be back. Very interesting menu and our server, Anita, was attentive, personable and efficient. We all tried different entrees including elk, lamb, quail and steak. The chef did a great job with each."

"My wife and I both had excellent lunches at Brasserie 529. Its location is a bit off the usual tourist track in Savannah's historic district, but it is well worth the extra few blocks to get there. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. Service was prompt, friendly and efficient. It's a French brasserie and the ambiance reflects that in the decorations and even the wait staff attire -- all black. We highly recommend it and give our own prime endorsement -- we'll be back!"

"I had the best meal of my life here, and I mean that with all honesty. Granted, I'm not an experienced diner, but after 20 years I've had many meals. Everything was perfect. I could tell that real care was taken in the entire cooking process from the ingredients to service. For example, they make their own smoked salt with applewood and oakwood. Just prepared to pay for it though."

"This was our first visit to Brasserie 529 but it certainly won't be our last. From start to finish the meal was excellent, the service knowledgeable, energetic but not overbearing and the whole experience was simply first rate. We each started with a salad, mine with mixed greens, whole beets, house smoked tomatoes, and spaghetti squash dressed with a truffle and lemon vinaigrette while my partner had a lovely variation on a spinach salad with goat cheese and bacon. The market catch Poisson en Papillote was delicious and featured Sole with Arugula and lemon confit in a lemon beurre blanc. The clams and frites was also wonderful with duck fat fried frites! For dessert we split a plate of truffles with sliced pear with a caramel drizzle."

"Dinner was very slow. We sat of about45 mins before getting our starters and then another Age for the entree. The meal was good but the courses were not continuous. We arrived at 7.00 and didn't finish until about 9.30- 9.45. Too long."
