Overall Rating 2.0 out of 5 (Fair)
"The food was ok. Pricey for the servings and quality. Waitress was very nice and provided great service. Sat at the bar after diner with the worst bartender ever. Actually threw the coasters on to the bar and hit my girlfriend with no appoligy. Slow service at the bar and we were only two of eight people sittting at the bar. Drinks were way over priced. Thought this place was a little classier then it was. Only good thing was the view of the harbor."

Review 2 for Tir Na Nog

Overall Rating 3.0 out of 5 (Good)
"Nothing inspiring to note. The dinner experience at Tir Na Nog did not quite meet my expectations. According to the restaurant web site dinner menu, I was looking forward to a more authentic, Irish dining experience and was relatively disappointed with the neutral, "regular bar-type" atmosphere. If I wanted a regular dining experience I would have gone to a chain restaurant. Again, according to the web dinner menu, I had my sights set on some beer-cheese soup to go along with some Irish beer. I was told this wasn't available and the server looked at me like I was confused. Instead, I tried the potato soup and was slightly disappointed with the watery consistency. The Shepherd's Pie was very good, but the service was only OK."

Review 3 for Tir Na Nog

Overall Rating 3.0 out of 5 (Good)
"We enjoyed our 1st time dining at Tir Na Nog. The menu was limited, but the food was tasty. We had the crab soup (which was disappointingly veggie based instead of cream) & the potato leek, which was rich but lacked substance. We shared the loin & crabcake w/spinach & potatoes. This was delicious! The server was friendly, but she took much too long in between coming to our table. The other customers were a bit loud. All in all it was a great experience mainly b/c of the harbor view & the delicious main course. The server also added an 18% gratuity...she was kind enough to circle this on the bill so I caught it at the last minute & didn't tip her twice. However, this is customary for larger groups but not for a couple. Maybe b/c of NYE?"

Review 4 for Tir Na Nog

Overall Rating 4.0 out of 5 (Very Good)
"Overall this was a good experience. After reading some other reviews I was concerned, but we went for an early evening New Year's Eve dinner. There was a fixed menu, but we all easily found things we liked, and the food was prepared as requested (for the beef) and all was very tasty. My only complaint, echoed by others, is that the kids menu could use some work. My 4-year-old grandson was not found of the lemon sauce used to garnish his fish 'n chips, and so we had to disassemble the fish from the breading before he would even think of eating it. And, though I realize steak fries are more attractive to an adult crowd, kids prefer the thinner, crisper, fast-food style fries. Our server, LeeAnn, was smiling and cheery and adequately attentive"
