"While planning our trip to PS for Fathers Day week I was looking for that Palm Springs experience for brunch and Trio kept popping up in all my searches. Very good reviews, etc. so we tried it and were not disappointed. With its 1970s decor and bright orange color it was a fun place to be. We will return. The skirtmsteakmwith chimichurri sauce was great and we loved their house made potatoe chips. The service was great and everyone was so friendly."

"I have been living in the valley for two years, and this meal at Trio was probably the best experience that I've had. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the service has got to be seen to be believed. Even though it was Restaurant Week, where some restaurants start to cut down on portions, people were leaving with their "doggie" bags. This was well worth the trip from LaQuinta."

"We were a group of 7 for a bachelorette on a Saturday night. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the bachelorette cake was a hit. However, after we were sat the server left us waiting to order drinks/food for a very long time so we had to chase him down. After that, he did not come back to check on us much. The food was good and the drinks were good.
I might recommend the restaurant to a friend but would warn them of the spotty service."

"I made reservation not knowing it was Restaurant week. I was surprised to know that I did not get the $19.99 special. I think Trios should have told me that they did not have the $19.99 special and what the price was going to be before we where seated.
thanks, Rick"

"When we arrived, it was made clear that one guest had a dietary restriction (i.e., Lactose Intolerance). The waiter was great in switching items to ensure the restrictions were met. However, while eating, the waiter returned letting us know that the vegetable was coated in butter. By then some beans were eaten, the meat and potatoes had touched the beans, making the meal all but inedible.
The ideal solutions would be replacing the meal or comping the dinner, the waiter waived the cost of one round of drinks. Our error was not asking for the manager.
While I will likely revisit the restaurant, it has fallen to the "if necessary" status."

"We had a very good dinner selecting from the special prix fixe menu. I especially enjoyed the Chimichurri veal skirt steak served on a bed of crispy sweet potato fries. The service was competent and congenial. All of our entrees were served at once, as they should be. A good and reasonable wine selection completed a nice dining experience."

"Invited friends for restaurant week. It wad their first time there. underwhelmed by the Over cooked steak. Hello, medium rare is still red inside, not cooked until gray. Poor service -- I shouldn't have to "claim" my plate when it comes to the table. Can't recommend them unless you want a so-so meal and want the keep switching plates around to get what you actually ordered."

"It was my 2 year wedding anniversary and my wife and I went here for dinner... we of course had reservations and while we were 30 minutes early we waited in the bar. The bar staff were helpful right away and all of them very knowledgable of different drinks. We had beer and the house made chips/ranch. We were seated quickly and our table had gold stars on it for our anniversary. The waiter DANIEL was wonderful, made a point to say congrats to us as soon as he introduced himself and he had the most energetic personality. We were seated next to another couple celebrating their anniversary and that was nice. Food+waiter+design=wonderful experience~ Will be going again!!! for sure~"

"We usually likeTrio but Restaurant Week found it lacking. The menu and the food was mostly mediocre and the everyday priced fixed menu jumped from $19 for lunch to $28. there was also a child screaming throughout the meal seated right next to me who should have been sent to McDonalds."

"I'm a big fish eater when i go out to eat. The fish is way too salty here. When I asked the server if they could go easy on the salt, he suggested the salmon instead. The salmon was just as salty as the sole. The cooks do not know how to cook here anymorebb"

"Everything was delicious, except for the bread pudding. My green salad was plentiful and very good. My pork chop was huge and delicious. For me, the bread pudding was too soft and light, without much taste. I prefer a heavier bread pudding. The atmosphere was lively, and all the patrons seemed to be enjoying themselves. The service was wonderful. We will definitely return! The prices are also good. A great find!!"

"Ate at Trio over Memorial Day Weekend. It was good. A very extensive menu with lots of variety. Loved the original potatoe chips and dip and the fried artichokes as an appetizer. I would say the food is good, but nothing special. Would I go back? Possibly but there are so many good restaurants in Palm Springs. My entree was good but my partner didn't like his ahi tuna. Didn't like the sauce. We had fun though. Definitely give it a try. Food is so subjective. Give it a try."

"Trio is the star of the modernism row that is North Palm Canyon Drive. Nice mid-century modern decor belies the delicious and very 21st century food. Friendly staff, an excellent wine list and cocktail menu and fun ambience make for a great experience. If you dine before 6 (and at lunch too) they have a $19 3-course prix fixe that is delish!"

Food was amazing as always, Australian Sole, light & buttery.. Rib eye Steaks were tender & tasty...
Our server "Bronson", was attentive without hovering, and quite knowledgeable on the menu...in short, he was excellent!
Trio never let's down, that's gotta be why it's so popular...
You may try other places in PS, but you'll always come back to Trio.
Highly Recommend!"

"This meal was to be a celebration of a wedding anniversary but unfortunately we both were under the weather and not feelling 100%. Although the meal was fine and the service outstanding and friendly, we just weren't able to appreciate it and will go back another time.
The $19 prix fixe option is a true bargain.
I will say that the tables along the wall are extremely close together. I understand the need to serve a lot of people and I have been comfortable at this type of seating. But the ones at Trio were the closest I have every been to and I felt as if I were eating with my neighbors. We are friendly people but a few more inches would have been welcome."

"I'm a regular at Trio and it's my favorite restaurant in a town of many choices in dining establishments. Our server was wonderful and let my party of four take our time to enjoy a long, leisurely dinner along with wine and cocktails. One thing was glaringly wrong however. The busboys kept trying to take the plates away of other diners at my table while one of us was still finishing his meal. This is a big no, no in proper restaurant etiquette and I wish more restaurant trainers would instruct their staff to stop doing this. It's insulting to the last person still eating his food and it really bothers the other diners at the table."

"I work at a nearby upscale hotel and have taken clients several times, this event was with dear friends and an out-of-town guest. I had the crawfish pot pie and it was exceptional. Our server (seem) to recognize us, which is a good sign and he was, with the other two table attendants, very personable, knowledgable about the food ingredients, how it was prepared and recommended wines to pair. It's a great experience every time."

"Went to Trio on a friend's recommendation. They were wonderful at accommodating us at a table with enough room around it for the guide dog & the guide dog puppy-in-training we had with us. The waiter was friendly and very anxious to please...at first. He was very willing to make changes in menu items for 1 guest who is a Vegan. However...he forgot to bring an iced tea. When my husband changed his mind about the iced tea & decided to order sangria instead, the waiter realized he had forgotten the iced tea. We needed to ask several times to get water glasses refilled. & to top it off, the iced tea that we never got was included on the bill. This all being said, all 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed our food and would definitely return."

"Trio was recommended to us, and although the decor was nice, and the service was great (although I felt somewhat rushed)....the food is nothing special, glamourized diner at best. I felt "packed" in to the restaurant which definitely took away for any possibility of a romantic evening. And to our surprise, its very much a family restaurant, as we were sitting next to a table of misbehaving young children. The food is well presented, and the portions are great, great value for the price. Not a trendy hot spot at all."

"This was a great dining experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, we were seated immediately, they take reservations seriously which is not always true at a popular place. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable about menu and was attentive without being intrusive. Wine list covers all the bases and is reasonably priced. We had a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc that was excellent. The Roasted Baby Beet Salad was the consensus best appetizer, great combination of flavors. Halibut special was cooked well, not overdone and paired with a great sauce and asparagus. Looking around we will have to come back to try the Trio Mac and 5 Cheese and Crawfish Pot Pie, both of which looked great ."

"Trio's delivers good food done right. We had the halibut special and the pork chop. The halibut was moist and tasty while the pork chop was not. Don't get me wrong this was my third meal at Trio's and the first time I was disappointed with a dish. The side items on both plates were great; the creamed spinach was the best I have ever had. Finally, the peanut butter fudge dessert was an explosion of flavor in my mouth."
