Incognito offers an oasis of elegant, modern dining. With a well balanced menu and wine list, from our thin crust pizzas, fresh pastas to local meats and fish. For lunch there is a 2 course Fixe Prix, open sandwiches and soup. Open all day, lunch can be enjoyed till 4:00pm. The main menu has many delicious options from traditional dishes such as lasagna to our fennel and mushroom pizza. From mussels to meatballs, beef carpaccio to grilled calamari, keep it light or go for our rich melanzane with smoked mozzarella or our fillet mignon with black peppercorn sauce. Here there is something for everyone, from the rushed crowds of NYC to the dedicated foodie. Our concept is to create fresh homemade dishes using the best ingredient. Mixing old world glamour with a modern twist, incognito is great for both everyday dining and special occasions.

"The food was good. It was not amazing, but good.
Different waiters kept coming back to us during our meal to ask to take our plates away.
There were some food left on the plate and we were obviously eating.. I did not understand why.
After 4 times, it got very annoying. A couple next to us were talking about that too, so it must be some kind of weird restaurant policy."

"We had a wonderful dinner. The food was great and service impeccable. They had so many specials it was hard to make up one's mind. Dessert was delicious. We saw a celebrity sitting in the back room, and immediately thought this place is perfect if you want to dine "incognito"."

"Paolo and his staff have created a welcoming ambience and a stellar and creative menu. Although Italian wines predominate the list, the selection is good. Salads were fresh, crisp, and tasty and our entrees were perfectly prepared. Menu is solid and the daily specials provided options. Consistently good food. "Good food. appealing menu, great convenient location, big space. We had a late dinner that was fine in every way. The servers were efficient; not friendly, nor enthusiastic. They neither added nor detracted from the experience. The ambiance doesn't fit with the Chelsea or downtown vibe. It feels like a mid-range UES restaurant transplanted to W 18th St. There is an odd formality that doesn't suit the 'hood, the space, or the food. The decor is too bright and unromantic, slightly showy and unrefined. The space desperately needs a makeover because its good space and a great location. If the ambiance and the friendliness-factor were improved, the place is poised to be packed every night. Til then, neighbors will walk further afield."

"This place is a real find. The pastas especially are phenomenal, and the service is great in part because the owner is constantly roaming the dining room, talking to guests and making sure everything is as it should be. If you want a really good, quiet, friendly Italian restaurant, then this is your place."

"My girlfriend and I went here last night. One word to describe this place, AMAZING!!!!! We both shared two appiziters, cheese plater and soup of the day. Both were fantastic. My girlfriend had the butternut squash raviolis with green peas, she was so excited. I had the steak frites with fries which was absolutely awesome. We also had the tiramisu, very coffee like and creamy. LOVE IT!!!!! We also met the owner who is also the head chef. Very nice man and has a great thing going. We would definitely go back in a heart beat."

"Nice space (quiet and spacious), food ranges from decent to delicious depending on what you order (veg plate and piccante pasta are amazing; goat cheese salad OK). Service for us was pretty disorganized, but pleasant. (They forgot to bring us menus for a while and never told us the specials, and I got a different pasta than I ordered). One plus is that most items come in a small and large size. We ordered the small size for both apps and pasta, which was perfect for my friend and not quite enough for me. But it was nice to have that option because it kept the prices down. Prices are on the high side, but if you order well I think it's worth it."
