"My Husband drove up for my Birthday. There was not a maybe to pick fromWhere it asks if I would Recomend this Restaurant to anyone. I was very disappointed there was not one salad to choose from. The entire menu was justvery heavy foods in general. I chose the duck because it was the only item on menuThat had a vegetable.. I was served 3 medallion carrots.My Husband ordered Ribeye steak & was served 3 strips of meat.The Ambience was very lovely, staff was efficient .The Fir sorbet between meals was superb though, light & refreshing. I would go back if the Restaurant thought of us who don't want such heavy items on their menu. There was onlyOne fish on menu & they were out of that. Our Dinner was at 5:30 on Saturday ."

We did the tasting menu and they were able to make last minute accomodations for me as I am intolerant to dairy. "Food was original, and prepared to perfection. Presentation was very nice, service was OK. However, it lacked the little extra wow-factor that would balance the 300$ total bill per person.
Most dishes were offshoots from the "a la carte" menu, which leads me to believe the tasting menu is more of a seasonal installment, rather than "inspiration du chef".
Wine pairing was a good match to the different courses, and the wine steward's info on wine characteristics was helpful. However, at times, it sounded more like an often rehearsed presentation of a town's history. I would have liked at least one of the course to have a more extravagant pairing. Once again, for the equivalent of 200$ per bottle, a little more "wow" would have been nic"

After cooking for several years in DC, attending Culinary School in NY and cooking in New York and Vermont, Toque was simply everything a true foodie would want. The staff was available without being intrusive and made some modifications for one of the guests (steamed an item that would have ordinarily been served marinated) without any fuss. "We visited Monreal because our son moved there recently. So we wanted to take him and his girlfriend for nice unforgettable dinner. It was really amazing. We decided to go with tasting menu. Of course, each dish was a masterpiece. But still a lot of food and after 4th course we couldn't eat anymore. My suggestion is: do not choose tasting menu, just go la karte. Plus be aware about prices: it is very expensive restaurant. But still I consider it like an outstanding and maybe good for an occasion, but not like reguar outing."

"My second visit to Toque, which continues to be outstanding. I went with my girlfriend and my 15-year old daughter. We had the tasting menu with wine pairings. The food was superb - varied, interesting, and tasty. Particularly outstanding were the venison and duck prepared 2 ways (rare magret and a smoked slice) as well as the foie gras option. All of the preparations were a pleasure to both palate and eye. The servers were knowledgeable and described both the food and the paired wine. They were also very helpful in other ways. It is pricey, but for a special occasion for a foodie, it is perfect."

The service is really weird. Looks like there is no pilote in the plane... They do not know what is in the plate or even what contain a simple "bearnaise".... Not acceptable in such a restaurant."

"Food and service were truly outstanding. I don't mind paying top dollar when the level of these two attributes are off the scale. A great idea, that I have never experienced before at lunch, was the pairing of a wine with each service. That was a really creative and enjoyable extra benefit, which all three of us took advantage of.
