"My first visit to The Barrymore was a fantastic experience. I never would have guessed such a beautiful restaurant was hidden away in the humble Royal Resort. When walking in, you are struck by the beautiful room and the energetic bar area. The ambiance of the restaurant is like that of somewhere you'd expect Frank, Dean, and Sammy to be hanging out fifty years ago. The menu was comprised of updated classics. Every dish ordered was well-executed and delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. Prices were fair, with entrees around $30/each. I can't wait to return to The Barrymore."

"I cannot say enough about The Barrymore! You may second guess yourself by its location, but that is the only thing you will question! Our server, Israel, was amazing! He took great care of us and made our experience one of the best. I had the sea bass....AMAZING! My husband had a strip steak cooked to perfection! Everything was top notch!"

"Friends have told me to go to The Barrymore. I am a slow learner and waited until now. It was a lovely evening. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. The wait staff was attentive and friendly. We will certainly return very soon. I have heard from friends that they were once open for lunch and how they miss that feature. The highlight of my meal was the artichoke appetizer - I will order it again. Thank you."

"Excellent food and service. Try the Short-Rib, Lobster Mac and Cheese and the Watermelon Martini on your next visit to this restaurant. Other honorable mentions are the Muscovy Duck and the Sea Bass. The decor of the restaurant is intimate "Old Hollywood" and quiet making the dining experience relaxed - not rushed."

"My husband and I ate at The Barrymore for our wedding meal. We eloped to Vegas and chose The Barrymore for its decor and style and it didn't disappoint. The service was impeccable. Our waiter was really friendly and congratulated us on our marriage. The other diners were all really nice and offered to take photos for us. And the food was delicious. We had a starter and main with no room for dessert. We both ordered steak for the main. Everything was cooked to perfection. Would definitely return!"

"My wife and I went to this restaurant for a change while in the Las Vegas area. The food is very good but pricey. It is a small boutique style restaurant the service is very good. You could come in just about any style of clothing and not feel out of place. (Although I would not recommend a tank top, shorts, and flip flops.) The steak was great, just expensive. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for any special occasion. The menu was not quite as extensive as I would expect and the prices were high so I could not afford to eat at this location on a regular basis."

"While in Vegas for a business, my company KEY-BAK wanted to entertain clients and luckily we found The Barrymore. Absolutely beautiful interior and the outdoor patio with the fire was a nice touch. After cocktails we were seated in the main dinning area, which we all found to be very retro (which is what we were looking for) and cozy. The service was outstanding and once we ate dinner, we all new it was the perfect choice for our clients."

"My wife and I celebrated her birthday at the Barrmore after the restaurant was recommended to us by a co-worker. It has a warm "supper-club" atmosphere with a very talanted lounge singer covering all the Vegas favorites. Everyone of the staff members we met were gracious and nice.
For dinner my wife had an excellant fillet with a wine reduction sauce. Our waiter talked me into the special aged version of the bone-in rib eye steak taht while considerably more expensive was a treat that I should not mioss. I bought in, and saddly was not impressed with the cut, portion, prep, heat, presentation or taste. It was extremely chewy and charred. Too bad to, cause I really wanted to like the place more than I ended up liking it."

"This place is a hidden gem. Great food, great service, wonderful decor and worth having a meal at. Never felt rushed and every course and drink were prepared perfectly...plus there is a hidden gem here....speak and listen to 95 year old Joe Vento in the hotel lobby...he is a true link to the Vegas past and should not be missed or ignored.....I will eat here again on my next visit to Las Vegas....the hotel it is in is not a huge Vegas place but it is not scary either....go and enjoy, Emeril and Mario Batali have great places, but take one meal to support a real local establishment, you will be happy when you leave!!"

"My sister & I dined at the Barrymore on Monday and went early (by LV standards) so there was only 1 other table seated. They left early, so it was just us in the entire restaurant for about 30 mins. By the time we left, the entire dining room was seated. We started out with the creamy, cheesy Lobster Mac & Cheese. Great lobster aroma as soon as the dish was brought to the table. Followed up with the Spring Lamb. The leg was slightly overcooked. I would've enjoyed having more of the lamb breast, which was tender and richly bathed in the sauce. Finally, despite my protests of being "too full," my sister ordered the Passion Fruit Creme Brulee. What a divine melange of tarte, creamy, and rich! Loved it. Tim was our excellent Server, too!"

"We visit Las Vegas often and have eaten at many of its excellent restaurants. The favorable reviews of the Barrymore attracted us to this out-of-the-way restaurant. What a mistake!
The restaurant is small --- ten tables, but half were empty when we arrived. The staff was attentive and courteous. We saw octopus on the menu as an appetizer and asked about it. "Best in Las Vegas" we were told so we ordered it. Usually a flavorful dish, our was tasteless and appeared to have been frozen. When we complained we were told they were fresh, but we weren't charged for them and we were given a free plate of tough clams instead. My wife's sea bass was very salty and my duck was gamey and tough. We didn't stay for desert."

"A great find in Las Veags! I have been here numerous times and everytime the food is excellent and the service perfect. Ask for Kendra or Emily as your sever, you can't go wrong. The NY steak is cooked perfectly, tender and very tasty! Have some cocktails at the bar if Cody is working - excellent bartender - great drinks everytime. If you want a quiet evening for dinning, avoid Friday/Saturdays as they get very busy and sometimes have large parties. Can't beat their happy hour either. All in all - give it it a try and you find out yourself have good this palce is. Also they have a small patio for coctails. Don't let the location stop you from trying it!"

"First let me say my experience at Barrymore was very good. The staff was excellent. I would rate the food an 8 out of 10. The filet was a tiny bit salty but tasty. I think they specifically put some salt pebbles on top. There were several types of bread in the basket that were good but I'm still not sure if I liked the bacon-cherry bread combination. The wine selection was excellent. The main dining room was a little darker than normal but I was on a date so it was fine. The prices were comparable to others in town but the service was a slight step above. The chocalate cake was unique and pretty good."

"All the reviews I'd read about the Barrymore, were certainly true. The food, service, everything was great!!! The room itself just blew me away, just reminds you of old Broadway, it had such ambiance... I would reconmend anyone go here. You won't be disappointed... Oh, and the music they had playing was just perfect. We took some friends with us and they said they had read about it and had been wanting to try it....And they were so glad that's where we went!!! I'm looking forward to going back and trying breakfast and lunch, and of course going back for dinner. We all had a wonderful evening. And we're all locals..."

"The ambiance, the steak, the side orders, the cocktails and the wine were immaculate at this "old school" Vegas steakhouse. We had booked a table for a Thursday evening and, I would assume, we were "early" by Vegas standards (6:00-6:15 pm). The dining room was classic steakhouse; lowly lit and embellished with old film reels on the ceiling and movie posters featuring Barrymore on the walls. Our server was attentive and suggested a wine within our price point which was excellent value for the dollar. The steaks were perfectly done and the creamed spinach we had as one accompaniment was delicious. I would easily go back the next time I'm in Vegas!!"

"If you want a nice place to eat that's off the strip this is a great place that turns back the hands of time to an old style Vegas restaurant. Prices are a bit cheaper than on the strip but the quality is no less. Service was prompt and friendly. Their signature cocktails were great and strong. The appetizers were innovative and delicious. A bone in NY strip was a special of the day was tender and flavorful and cooked to order."

"Out in Vegas with my wife and in-laws. Wanted a romantic restaurant to spend my 25th wedding aniversery. Found it in spades, from start to finish everything was perfect. Service was excellent without being overbearing and the food was outstanding. Started with the Lobster Mac and a Caesar salad. Both were wonderful but the Mac and Cheese alone is worth the trip. The steak was seared on the outside and cooked perfectly to a medium rare. Side dish was grilled asparagus, it was tender and flavorful with a little bite to it. Finished the night with a molten chocolate cake and hazelnut gelato. Special thanks to the manager who stopped by to see how we were enjoying our meal and make us feel welcome."

"We were delighted from the minute we walked in the door. Every inch was traditional
Las Vegas fine dining and lovely. The people assisting the server were even so professional and beautifully mannered that all four of us commented on the excellent experience they provided. The only thing missing was music...oh there was recorded music, but if there were a singer during dinner, we all agreed that would put icing on the cake.
This restaurant is a well kept secret...can't wait to go back."

"The food was very good. I ordered the short ribs which were so tender it felt like they melted in your mouth. My husband had the filet mignon and he loved it. The free bread I can do without. It was a little hard and the spread was really salty. Other than that had a great experience. Would defitnetly go back."

"My wife and I were looking for a special place to have Easter Dinner without the family crowd. After looking at several locations, we found The Barrymore. After seeing all the "Excellent" reviews we decided to give it a try. Upon arriving we were greeted with a smile, and escorted to a very nice oval booth. After being seated, we were greeted by several waters who retrieved us waters and fresh bread. After taking a few minutes to listen to the specials and menu, we placed our order and settled in for a wonderful evening of rejoicing in being in love. Our first course arrived, the Lobster mac and cheese (delicious) and then our man courses (short ribs and bone in ribeye); both meats were fabulous!"

"Stumbled upon this through open table and was very glad we went. Food was very good and liked the atmosphere. My filet was wonderful, as was the shrimp cocktail and lobster Mac n cheese my son had - my husband said the salmon was god not great. I was a little is appointed in the service, our servers were attentive but not engaging - there was a gentlemen who was serving the tables around us who was outstounding (Joe - may have been his name) He worked really hard to develop a rapport and make sure everyone was satisfied, enjoying them self. We were disappointed watching this, as we were there for a birthday."

"The Barrymore is truly a hidden gem. Amazing atmosphere, great food and the service was 5 star. We were celebrating an anniversary and they gave us champagne toast on the house, the manager even came to wish us a happy anniversary and make sure we were happy. The atmosphere is very romantic.
