"We were early by 35 minutes for our 11:30 Mother's Day reservation, and we enjoyed adult beverages in the bar at HH prices. Outside was even better, since we wanted to chat, and the noise level was quite a bit lower outside. Service was excellent, and the choices available satisfied all of our paletes, even our brother's steak preference. The salmon salad was a tad overcooked, and the cappucino dessert was not great, but the rest was excellent! The tuna and alvocado appetizers were a bit hit, and my mom enjoyed her chicken piccata. The tiramisu was excellent, although I picked the rather dry ladyfingers off the side of it. Overall, we all thought the food was very good and service great, especially considering how crowded it was."

"The server's timing was off. We ordered drinks and they came about two minutes before the appetizers did. I asked for bread three times and it finally arrived after the main course was served. The place was not particularly busy ( it was 4:00 on a Sunday) so I would have expected a bit more attentiveness to details. We eat here often and this is not the quality of service that we have come to expect from Acqua Pazza."

"My concern was the menu, even if we were there on Mother's Day and there would be small children involved, the set menu for lunch did not accommodate the children. At least they didn't offer a menu for the kids - so their meal would be $25+ for their meal designed for adults? No way!!! That was disappointing. Therefore I did not check "Kid-Friendly"."

"What was the point of making a reservation? We waited over 15 minutes to be seated.
The food was just passable and the coffee was served cold with skim milk rather than cream and had to be sent back.

"This was not our typical experience at Acqua Pazza. We're usually very happy with the service. We had to ask for bread three times and finally got it just before the main course arrived and after my husband's salad had arrived. I also only had water to drink and never had my glass refilled. They were very busy (it was a Friday night). We won't be going back on a Friday night when it's so busy and the wait staff is stretched so thin. If this had been our first visit to Acqua Pazza, rather than perhaps our 10th visit, we would never have gone back."

"We made our reservations via Open Table and requested "Patio dinning" but did not receive this and was told one had to telephone to get that type of reservations. It would have been nice to have that some where on Open Table telling me that and I would have called."

"My husband LOVES this restaurant - breakfast, lunch or dinner, inside or out on the patio, it doesn't matter. We make it a point to dine here whenever we're in Palm Desert. The vichyssoise is delicious and refreshing. The early bird dinner special is a great value and happy hour in the bar is a bargain."

"We live locally & like to bring guest but this time our waiter had an attitude. Patio was busy so sat inside in the middle booth as you enter (it may help AP know who our waiter was on 4/27 at 7:15pm, I don't remember his name but he's Latin. We have always had great service but our waiter acted irritated when we didn't want to order right away, we ordered apps first & wanted those before ordering entree. I requested veggies only with mine but it came with rice & sauce on side was forgot but ask & he brought it but seemed anything we ask irritated him. Also, didn't come back to offer another glass of wine with dinner."

"Went in with high expectations based on reviews and how busy it always is. I was very underwhelmed. Server took over 5 minutes to greet us. Drinks arrived 2 minutes after appetizers. No second rounds ever offered or a check back on food. Food was only mediocre (tough steak, over cooked fish). Server forgot a dessert. Never any apologies for the lack of service or items. I am leaving out many details, but the items mentioned above just did not make for a very good dinner experience. Unfortunately I will not be back based on this experience."

"In all good conscience, I just can't give this restaurant a very good review. As an Open Table member, I have learned what to expect when I travel. Sadly, this restaurant was a very poor experence. We waited 50 minutes for our entrees to arrive on a Tuesday night (inexcusable)! And then the quality of the food was very lack lustre. On top of this, we watched a waiter completely clear away the table of a handicapped lady who slipped away to the washroom. When she returned, her bread, water and appetizers were gone. By the way, the waiter was ready to give away her table and she hadn't even had her entree. On my list of Open Table restaurants, this one definitely ranks in the bottom three."

"The food here is usually impeccable. Saturday night the pizza, wedge salad and cold potato leek soup was great. BUT the chicken piccata was fair at best....the chicken was cooked perfectly, sorry to say that the sauce had no flavor. It had been thickened noticeably. Additionally it didn't have any lemon, butter or wine flavor at all....it was perfectly bland and just two capers on the entire plate! We love this restaurant and hopefully it was just a very busy night . We didn't mention it because it was soooo busy and it won't keep us from going back again, I will just get something else from the extensive menu."

"The food and service were very good, but we got seated just in front of the waiter's work station and they were always walking by and pushing on our chairs which made our experience very uncomfortable. "Service was great. Restaurant seemed more like a Cheesecake Factory; large menu, everyone was rushing around. I ordered a 3-course dinner; soup came first, salad came at same time (sent it back), then our entrees came while I was eating my salad. I sent my entree back and it probably sat under the heat lamps, as it did not taste fresh upon arrival. I was not pleased with the experience, but my family enjoyed it."

"Acqua Pazza is renowned for its patio on the river. I had hoped that we would have had a table on the patio or at least could request one on arrival. We were told however, that in the small print when we book on line it says that we can only have a table inside! The food was good, there as a good selection, but the inside seemed to be filled with large parties and lots of small children. No problem with that, but not quite what we expected."

"Had Easter Brunch with my family and was very happy with everything. I don't like holiday dining in restaurants because they get so hectic and can be disappointing, but everything was very organized and had a very good time. I loved all the choices and the great prices. I will be back."

"Went on Easter Sunday dinner and had a wonderful experience. We were a large party and everyone had a great time. Our waitstaff person was very efficient and kind, even though it was very busy and she had many tables to service. We would definitely go back with a large or small group again!"

"It was my first time going but I went with two other people who had gone before. They stated that when they went before it wasn't busy and the food was good. When i went it was Easter Sunday, so I don't know if that played a big part but the food was bad. Seafood was overcooked, bread was stale. it was obvious that they were mixing the old bread with fresh bread. The service was slow, very slow. Our waitress was nice but we could hear the other waiters being rude to their patrons. Moreovr, I had a $100 tab but we left hungry because we couldn't eat our food."

"This is a beautiful place at The River that has excellent food. Everyone should experience the outdoor dining. The view of the mountains, the sunset, and the water in front of the restaurant is absolutely beautiful. We had a variety of food from the pick 3 course dinner special. The filet, meatloaf and pork chops were outstanding along with their sides. Each one of their desserts are amazing and you can't go wrong. I highly recommend this restaurant."

"This restaurant came highly recommended by our hotel concierge and we were excited to get a reservation. When we arrived, our table was not ready and we were handed a pager to alert us when we would be seated. After waiting for about 15 minutes beyond our reservation time we were taken to a table in the back. We had requested an outside table, but were not given that option. The main dining area was very crowded and the wait staff seemed rushed. There was very little interaction beyond taking our order and handing us the check. Maybe being spring break, the restaurant was busier than normal, but the poor service was hard to overlook. The food was very good, but beyond that, not much positive to say about this restaurant.
