Named one of the finest Indian Restaurants in the US by New York Times and featured on the Galloping Gourmet TV Show, New Delhi is the place to dine. Decorated like a Maharajah's private banquet room, the restaurant serves cuisine made from recipes culled from the royal Indian menus dating back 300 to 400 years using the freshest local ingredients. Chef and owner, Ranjan Dey, star of PBS show – “MY INDIA” creates daily specials with his six gourmet spice blends, available nation wide in gourmet specialties. New Delhi Bar has been the favorite hot spot for many, working in the downtown, restaurant and hotel industry, since its inception in 1988. It is famous for its “Double-Happiness-Happy Hour” featuring nightly drink specials. The first from 5:30 to 6:30pm and the second from 10 to 11pm – because not everybody works 9 to 5!

"Having been raised in New Delhi, I had high hopes for this place, but I was utterly disappointed by the food and the service. The naan was definitely frozen, the food looked like it was just heated up from a package. The server didn't come back to check on us after he took the order. I am surprised they're in business, given they're located on prime real estate. Won't recommend and won't go back for sure."

"We don't know much about Indian food but was willing to try it out. Expressed that to the waiter but just smiled and acted that he didn't understand much English. Food was okay but nothing that said WOW."

"This is a good Indian restaurant to go to. The food was closed to southern Indian food. There were two Indian friends in the party and they say it is close enough. They thought the dessert selection was small. I had the non vegetarian dinner that has a sampling for meat. The spicy vegetable salad is spicy. The tandoori chicken was good. Rohan josh was also excellent. The dessert was rice with some milk sauce. It was supposed to come with coffee or tea but they were out of coffee. I opted for plain tea instead of the masala tea and it was a tea bag. I thought it would something fancier given the decor, which was majestic. Tall ceilings with pillars."

"Wonderful! We enjoy North Indian cuisine & were delighted to have such an interesting menu. We tried 2 of the 8+ items we've never seen & were not disappointed. :-)
The open table review was accurate as "very good". Service was friendly & committed to doing a great job.

"Overcharged the bill. This restaurant is ready to close. It has the feel of somewhere which has been open too long and no longer cares for its customers. Courses with a sauce are much better than grilled dishes. Of the 3 tables who dined with us every table had an issue with their bill all of which are done by hand and always end up being in favor of the restaurant."
