Classic Casual Dining: Phillips new Baltimore location, is an exciting and easy blend of vintage and modern, with a nod to the longstanding tradition of Phillips restaurants. "My family and I visited Phillip's restraunt and we were all very disappointed by the food. We last ate at Phillip's a few years ago and we all thought the menus had more choices as well as the food was a lot tastier. I'd give it a try one more time, but if the next time we return and the food is just so than I won't return."

"I had a nice time my husband had ever been to Phillips Seafood. The food was good and the server Gary was really great, and the services was nice. The only suggestion I have is that the prices are very expensive also people that are members of Phillips club should get discounts, other than that my anniversary night was good."

"I probably should not be writing this review as maybe it really isn't fair. I didn't know that Philips in Baltimore did not have the seafood buffet and I was looking forward to it. We didn't realize they no longer had a buffet until after we sat down. I assume the food would probably have been ok, but we are locals who know where better and less expensive sea food places are and we couldn't see spending a lot more money for less food than we would get at our regular haunts. The server was very friendly and I have no complaints about the restaurant itself other than it seems like it is an overpriced tourist restaurant and we aren't tourists. The Philips in DC is OUTSTANDING with its buffet and I whole heartedly recommend that place."

"Went to Baltimore for our 24th wedding anniversary to see a concert. Weekend was great except for this restaurant. Service was horrendous, food was worse. I chose Phillips ignoring some of the more recent reviews because of it's reputation. Hugh mistake. Our waitress was clueless. Mixed up our order, wrong food sent to our table. My wife asked for a 1 1/2 pound lobster, broiled. No lobsters that size available and chef stated he could not broil the lobster. How can they not have what's on the menu and how can something not be broiled??? I never write reviews, but this experience was so horrendous that I actaully couldn't wait to write this. I will never eat there again nor will I ever eat in a Phillips Seafood restaurant."

"Having lived in Baltimore in the mid 1990's, Phillips was one of my favorite places to go. Naturally, while on a trip back to Baltimore, Phillips was included in the itinerary.
The restaurant was extremely crowded and noisy, and our waitress (who was quite pleasant) seemed overwhelmed. The food was sub-par, especially the signature crab cakes! One expects nothing but the best crab cakes while in Maryland, and these were quite bready with pieces of shell in them. It came with vegetables and potatoes, which were quite good. Neither my husband or I were impressed with the crab dip appetizer or the crab vegetable soup...both tasted like they came from a can."

"This was my first time at the Phillips location in Baltimore. I have been to the ocean City location previously, but it has been quite some time since those visits. The food continues to impress! The broiled seafood platter was delicious. Perfectly cooked, hot upon arrival, and the flavors were great! The only thing that keeps Phillips from being 5 stars overall is the price for the quantity of food you receive. Portion sizes are reasonable, maybe slightly small, but the price for the portions is a little too high. That said, the servers were attentive and we enjoyed our meal very much."

"The service was fantastic and I never had to think about asking for another drink. The flounder stuffed w/crab imperial seemed as if it was frozen at one time and there were not enough crab lumps in the imperial. The chefs veggies were soft and over cooked. This is our first time to the 'new Phillips' and we love the new design, but we hope Phillips is concentrating on quality, not quantity."

"I took my mother and my daughter to Phillip's for lunch for my mother's birthday and we really enjoyed our experience. It was my first time at the new location and I enjoyed it. It was very spacious and quiet. Our server Aaron was very nice and answered any questions that we had. He even sang Happy Birthday with us to my mom, which made her feel extra special on her special day. All I can say is thank you and we will be returning there very soon!"
