"Service was issue, waitress was covering more than on area and it caused slow service and having us request our server to come to table. We had party of 4 for Birthday dinner, but even though request was made in comments of open table and to server, they forgot or did not acknolwedge his birthday."

"My fiancé and I have been to several on-the-harbor style restaurants from Island Prime in San Diego to the Fish Hopper in Monteray Bay.. This place was no where near expectations at any minimum sense. This place was practically empty on a Friday evening, which should have been a big red flag. Food was decent, don't get me wrong, but not priced commensurately. You're pretty much paying for the ocean view. If you're looking for a place to dine, I highly recommend heading to downtown Santa Barbara, way more of a selection and enjoyable scenery. I will just leave it at that."

"The food is only okay--not bad but nothing memorable from the Mother's Day brunch (maybe that's not a fair indicator), with kind of a rubbery raw bar. But the service was lovely and the view is really special, great to eat out above the water and watch all the paddle boarders, etc."

"The brunch was wonderful.... however, we found some of the choices needed to be refilled. Being Mother's Day, there were many families with young children 'running around' back and forth to the buffet area. No reflection on The Harbor - just poor parenting skills."

"We went here for a special night out while visiting Santa Barbara and even among Santa Barbara's standards, this place was amazing! We sat next to the window and had a beautiful view of downtown Santa Barbara at sunset- wow. Our waiter was friendly and professional. We had the surf and turf and it was one of the best dinners I've had in a long time. It's expensive, but well, well worth it."

"Beautiful restaurant in a great location. Wish we had made it a little earlier so we could have watched the sunset from our table. Seafood was fresh and perfectly prepared. Staff was friendly and accommodating in every way. Complementary valet parking was a nice touch. If we lived in the area, this would be one of our go-to spots for special occasions. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in or driving through Santa Barbara!"

"Lovely views at harbor..many sailboats returning to harbor at subset. House white. Wine excellent, service very good and salmon Wellington excellent. Menu selections considerably more expensive than nearby restaurants...but they don't have the same view, either."

"Miguel was attentive but not intrusive. The view is spectacular. The food was great. I now have a new entry into my 3 best filet minions (and finally one on west of the Mississippi). My wife's prime rib and lobster was also very good. Couldn't recommend the Harbor Restaurant more for any special occasion."

Harbor is a great location, with below par, dated ambience and non-intuitive service. I was consistently approached by wait staff either mid bite or mid sentence. It was awkward.
The kitchen did a great job. The house front took the experience down."

"Came here w husband and 3 kids..ages 6,10,& 12. Crab & lobster were outstanding. Older kids loved the petit filet, and 6yo had his corn dog...something for everyone. No refills on lemonade :-( Decent wine list & prices."

"Our experience at Harbor House for Easter Brunch was not a great experience. We were seated right away which was expected due to the fact that we had a reservation, but it took about 15 min to recieve our iced tea's and then the waitress forgot to bring a water for one member of our party and that probably took an additional 10-15 minutes with additional reminders. The restaurant was not too packed which was nice, but definietly aided to the confusion for our slow service. Our food order came out wrong and had to be sent back, and by the time it came to the table it was cold. My husband found 3 egg shells in his benedict and everyone was not thrilled with their food. The experience was just not what we were hoping to have for the holiday."

"We asked for a window seat. We got a piece of wall with windows we could lean over to look out of. Somehow tobacco smoke made it to our table several times. I got up and looked out the front door but found no smokers. I went for the prime rib dip sandwich. It came with a pound of salt. I couldn't eat it. Otherwise, it was great. The lobster, wedge salad and Flying Goat Pinot were excellent."

"I really enjoyed our lunch at the Harbor. The waiter was very good. The food was delicious and of course the view is so outstanding. Even on a grey day. I had a 95 year old friend with me. She loved the whole package- food, wine, table by the window and the service.
I have eaten there many times and will be back."

"When ever we have guests visit us that have never been to Santa Barbara before, this is the place we take them for lunch, dinner or brunch. The views are spectacular, the food is wonderful and a walk on the pier after eating is alway enjoyable."

"I was skeptical of Harbor restaurant as I have found that many restaurants with a scenic view prove to be disappointing. but this restaurant was wonderful. everything was lovely from the GREAT food to the impeccable service. it is a true gem. we had filets and they were cooked to perfection and wonderful. another guest at our table had the tuna and LOVED it. it was fresh, and just buttery. we highly recommend and will definitely go back!"

"The staff and decor was great, however, the food was very bland and expensive. I ordered the $18 Lobster Roll for lunch and it tasted like mayo. Not worth it."

"The food was ok. The menu consisted of imported items like Maine Lobster and Atlantic Salmon. An odd choice for a restaurant on the Pacific Ocean. The finest salmon comes from the Pacific Northwest - why serve farm raised Atlantic salmon?
The on-the-water setting is beautiful."
