"I have always been curious about Asado,
but just never got their until I received
a gift certificate to. In excited anticipation,
and looking at the menu online, we made
our reservations. We were seated fairly
promptly +,drinks, water and bread with yummy
dipping sauce/spread + ordered dinner +
order came+ , no long waits and nice server!
Food - - - It was so greasy, my utensils ended up
slipping out of my hands. Undercooked and greasy,
disappointed : ("

"This was our family's first time at Asado's. I have issues with blood so I always order my steak well done. We let the server know and asked her to have the steak butterflied to ensure there was NO pink. When it arrived, I knew immediately it was wrong, and it wasn't butterflied as I asked. I had to send the steak back twice. The third time it was delivered to the table it was still under cooked. The owner and the chef came out to ask me about my steak because they noticed I wasn't eating it. They made it very evident that they wanted to make it right, they offered to make me a whole new steak. I chose to go with a chicken lemon dish. Everyone enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. I appreciated their responsiveness. We will return."

"we're mostly vegetarian diners so tried the vegetarian empanadas, tomato rellenos & a shrimp fettucine dish with the rellenos being least successful, the shrimp quite good; we'd go again if there were more vegetarian options but we understand that's not their gig; great street scene on 6th Ave. near (that night) the Tues 3-7 farmer's market and always lively evening activity made sitting near the street at the opening of Asado's big garage door was quite nice; nice menu variety & addition to Tacoma's restaurant options"

"We started with a cocktail.the Diablo Martini-spicy and super yummy-his a Mojito. We then ordered ceviche which is tasty.Dinner-hubby ordered a mxd gr salad-too small/not impressive, We both ordered flat iron steak w/Polenta + a side of "creamed swiss charred"-not what I was expecting/hoping for-wld not order again. My flat iron steak was way over-cooked. Hubby's was done just right, mine was good when a new one returned. We were offered a free dessert to celebrate but we had no room & are trying to eat lighter so we turned it down. I brought more than half of my steak home & we had it on a salad the next night for dinner. We will continue to dine at Asado to hope they can get my steak right the first time around."

"This was our first time at Asado and our waiter, Ben, was extremely attentive, knowledgeable, and helpful. He gave us a run down on Argentinean cuisine, what to expect, and some great recommendations. We had a party of five and got a variety of appetizers and entree (chorizo asado, ceviche, queso frito, chorizo empanadas, scallops, hoja roja [salad], and hanger steak to share amongst ourselves. Everything was truly delectable and the hanger steak...amazing. Asado has an exceptional wine selection and well stocked bar; however, the mixed drinks are a bit expensive even though they are quite delicious.The desserts were, you guessed it, a delightful and indulgent experience.Because of the size and superb cuisine, ensure you make a reservation."

"Food and menu choices outstanding...as was the service both at the bar (while waiting on our reservation) and at the table. Water glass always full as well! Once the restaurant got busy, the noise level increased significantly. The dining room isn't very large and they have too many tables. The prices are a bit high (bar and restaurant), so I recommend for special occasions only."

"We keep coming back. The food is outstanding with the fantastic flavors of Argentenia. The ambiance is warm and comfortable. Our waiter, Ben,was very out going, friendly and knowledgable. He steared us to a perfect malbec wine that was perfect with our steaks.Dessert made me feel guilty it was so good. Go there you will love it. It can and does get crowded so I recommend reservation."

"We went for Easter brunch and there were three of us. Two of us had the Maine lobster with Beechers cheddar cheese omelet and one had the eggs Benedict made with a jalapeño muffin sliced with the egg, diced avocado, and problano sauce in top. We all loved our dishes. Our waitress was attentive without hovering and it was easy to carry on conversation with the noise level. We have always loved Asado for dinner but this is the only time they do Brunch except for Mothers Day. It was the perfect start to a beautiful Sping day!"

"Everything was great. The aroma of meat broiling over mesquite wood gives the place an authentic Argentinian armosphere. My only problem was the lamb shanks: they had little or no flavor and held all the interest of week-old leftovers. The GF's hanger steak was excellent.
You don't have to ask for a doggy bag here. Anything you don't finish will reappear in a very sturdy brown paper take-out bag.
Best dinner bread ever! Shmear a little chimichangi butter on it (or not) and smile.
Tiny 2-person tables don't offer much real estate. We asked for the redundant glassware to be removed before it landed on the floor."

"This is our second visit to Asado. The food is outstanding. Great spices used on the calimari (the best we've had in a long time). "I have been to Asado's 3 times now and am always impressed. The food is like fireworks in your mouth, bursting with flavor. It's our date night, special occasion, just want a good meal place. Highly recommended."

"Asado is one of our favorite Tacoma restaurants for special ocassions. The staff is always knowledgeable and friendly, and the kitchen consistently creates amazing dishes with seasonal flare. You can always guarantee a fabulous meal and great service at Asado. This weekend was my husband's birthday celebration and it was wonderful!"

"Love Asado. My son picks it every year for his birthday, as he did this year. The wine is great. The steak is wonderful, but my favorite is the polenta. Unbelievable. I've had the other sides, which are wonderful too....but the polenta is worth the trip alone."

"We have eaten there once before. This time I ordered the same exact thing and it was simply not as good as the first time. The ceasar salad almost didn't have any dressing on it - VERY dry and so was my husbands. My pork chop was way smaller this time and overcooked. Definitely not as tender. My husband said he steak was excellent and my son enjoyed his dinner. But mine was not certainly worth what I paid. We were there on a Saturday before and this was a Wednesday night. Better food on the weekends?"

"My husband and I had a fantastic experience at Asado. We weren't sure what alot of the menu items were, but our waitress was very helpful with explaining it and giving her recommendations. The food was DEEEEELICIOUS! It started with the spread for the bread...yum! Our appetizers were also presented beautifully and full of flavor. By the time our dinner arrived we had some high expectations, and guess what...we were blown away! Very generous portions, AND the most interesting flavors together making this dinner experience the best we've had in a long long time, by far!"

"Visited on a Friday evening. Restaurant was fairly full. Waitress was helpful with suggestions. I had the Sea Bass and my wife had Parilla combo plate. The Sea Bass was good but not exceptional in any way. My wife's plate was very good. The steak was cooked perfectly and the chicken was very good. And the polenta was simply amazing!! Best I've ever had."

"Our reservations were for 6:30pm, we were finally seated a little after 7pm. The bar was too full to wait in because other 6:30 reservations were also waiting. The enterance is very small so we waited with another couple for our tables in the cramped area while others came in and out.
The food was good and service by the waitress was quick and good, but the restaraunt was loud and very small.
We went for our anniversary but it was anything but romantic."

"Our Friday night dinner was excellent all around. Valet parking was quick both arriving and leaving. We had reservations and were seated immediately and the wait staff were friendly, helpful and attentive without being intrusive. The food was very good, particularly the stuffed prawns.
The only two mild negatives would be the seating was a bit cramped and the noise level was high. Otherwise, it was a completely enjoyable experience."
