"This was my 3rd visit, and each time the food and service have been terrific. I tried the calamari for the first time, and it was the best calamari I've ever had. It was cooked perfectly with just the right amount of breading. And the dipping sauce brought the perfect amount of heat. The other highlight is the chocolate cake. The menu describes it as "big, big", but that falls about 3 "bigs" short of accurate. It's huge and, by far, the best chocolate cake I've had in a restaurant."

"Everything from the bread, the salad, to the entrées was delicious. We had the squash ravioli with the house salads. The crème brulée for desert was perfect. Our server was friendly and efficient."

"Our waiter was excellent, patient and knew the menu and explained the dishes well. However, the cauliflower puree was cool under the scallops; the pork shank was tender and was a large portion, however, as consumers who do not like salt, we found that both the scallops and pork shank were salty (most likely from the marinade- as they were both tender). Cut back on the salt please."

"still suffers from being in the lobby of the hotel with minimal separation. not secluded enough for "fine dining". seafood dishes were not the best but OK, others were very good. presentation was excellent. service very attentive until we wanted to pay. will go back but not in a rush."

"My husband and I both had the salmon. It was perfectly done (medium) and a portion size that was reasonable- not over-sized. The carrot puree that it rested on was delicious with the quinoa and currents. The tzatziki on top was delicious. The salad was mixed baby greens. I had creme brulee topped with two raspberries as a dessert- also very good. The coffee was weaker than I like, but what I expect in U.S. restaurants. We are not wine experts, but very much liked the buttery smooth oaky chardonnay we selected. Our companions liked their pork shank and lamb chops.
Angelo's Prime is a cut above any other Clifton Park restaurants with the possible exception of Antipasto's if you are vegetarian."

"Wonderful addition to Clifton Park. Fresh, carefully prepared food. On the pricey side and don't expect large portions. Make reservations by phone--online reservation showed no seating 6-7, which was incorrect."

"We really liked our food. we have visited other restaurants during special pricing restaurant week but Angleo's was operating smoothly even with large groups in their other rooms and a busy weeknight crowd. Thought our table was a little close to our neighbors. It was not like we could hear their conversation but the wait staff had little room to maneuver between our tables."

"Very good, interesting menu. Fresh well seasoned and prepared foods. Limited menu and wine list but certainly adequate. Service slightly rushed but overall far above average especially with all the chain eateries in Clifton Park. Definitely would go again."

"I chose this place for my monthly dinner with a girl friend. We usually enjoy a glass of wine, but there were few selections available by the glass. Those that were available were very pricy and the bottles were extremely overpriced as well. The location of the restaurant immediately beside the hotel entrance is distracting - especially listening to the clatter of suitcase wheels along the tile floor. The half-glass wall that outlines the restaurant provides no sound or visual barrier as hotel guests arrive/depart. The food was very good, but there was no escaping it is a hotel restaurant with little ambiance.
Table layout is a bit cramped & glad there were only 2 of us or it would have been uncomfortable - and we are not large people"

"We had a great evening with good wine, good food and ended with s fine dessert selection. We asked for a quiet table and got just what we asked for with some very friendly service that was just right. We had a treat sent out by the chef to start us out and we extra advice on our wine choice. A very enjoyable experience."

"Great food, superb service but lacks ambiance ....table for two (reserved in advance) was far too small...when entrees were served, the plates were half off the table!"

"The food was excellent. Service was not. Our Server was not experienced at fine dining service. She was not attentive enough, and did not know how to serve. She reached across the table to clear plates and knocked over my wife's martini breaking the glass and spilling the drink on my wife. The server never offered to get her a new drink and left pieces of the glass on the floor telling us not to walk in that area.
Overall our experience was not soured by the poor service. The food was excellent and the ambiance was very nice. I recommend better training for the service staff."

"I had high expectations for Angelo's Prime Bar and Grill. I was dissappointed. The food was good. Nothing spectacular. The ambiance was lacking. I felt like I was sitting in a hotel lobby (which you basically are). The service was fair at best. Overall I was not impressed. We won't be back. Would much rather make the trip to Albany and have a better experience at 677."

"Went for Valentine's Day. Not a good place for that. Was seated at a table for two that was in a cluster of tables for two that were packed too close together. Everyone could hear everyone else's conversation. One couple was seated next to us and got up and left the restaurant when they realized this. This was typical upscale dining: pay more, get less.i had a a $9 salad as my appetizer. It was about the quality level of Ruby Tuesday's. I have no idea why this salad cost $9. The good news was that the Cracklin' Pork Shank was delicious and unique. That was worth the $26 I paid for that."

"Excellent food, BUT We were there on Valentine's day for a dinner reservation that was made several weeks in advance. I am very upset with that amount of time that they could not sit us at a regular table. We were lumped together with several other couples on couch-like areas. It was like sitting down to a family dinner with people I don't know. I can except that at some chain at the mall I am paying $14.95 an entee for, but not for well over $100 per couple. I love Angelo's restaurants, but this is not the place to go on a busy night."

"This was our second visit to Angelo's. The REAL negative was the close proximity to neighboring tables-meaning they were way too close to beach other. We felt hemmed in, and that's NOT acceptable to me. If we visit Angelo's again, we will CHOOSE a table that's unemcumbered by closeness."

"This was our first time here, and we left with mixed emotions. All of the food we tasted was quite good. However, the amount of food we received for the price left something to be desired. We ate the bread, our full entrees, and shared a dessert, and we each left hungry. We ate from the weekly "specials" menu, which were billed as full sized entrees, but when we received them and compared them to the sizes of other's meals around the dining room, we could tell we had received significantly smaller portions. The dessert as well - we ordered the zeppoles ($8), and received only 4 donut-hole sized pastries. We left conflicted as the food was quite good, but for the price we wouldn't return."

"The restaurant was outstanding. No pressure to eat fast and get out. We had a leisurely meal and truly enjoyed it. The calamari was outstanding. Scallops were sweet and delicious. Salads were also excellent with the best blue cheese dressing we have had in a long time."

"At first we questioned a hotel in a Mall. No longer. Friendly, accesible, welcoming to the community and then with all the restaurants in Clifton Park the 677 Prime is a must for everyone. Beautiful open rooms, decor exciting and persentation of the food top class. Resonable prices for what you recieve and a menu realistic for travelors. Attention to detail makes the food and service exemplary. I had Salmon, the wife had a burger! 5 stars."

"We went for the second year in a row for our anniversary/birthday. They went out if their way to make it special, complete with complementary champagne and a gift card. Food, as with all of angelos places, was phenomenal. Ambiance and layout are a little awkward, and many tables are so close together you can hear your neighbors smacking and you can hardly squeeze yourself out to head to the ladies room. Best bet for just 2: eat in the lounge area. Overall, location is unique and convenient (hotel, theater, spa, bakery, shopping....) And food ROCKS!"

"Fantastic food-exactly what Mazzone Hospitality is known for. Odd choice of location though, as some tables are basically in the lobby of the hotel. Had a really good experience overall though and would go back again. I do recommend getting reservations-it's a small location and always packed!"

"Our waitress, Leslie, was excellent. She was friendly, prompt, helpful and cheerful. However, I personally do not care for the 'ambiance.' The lighting is comparable to a basement. I also don't like the partial partitions which do not go to the floor. Our table for four was quite small which meant we had to keep moving dishes around to accomodate the plates of food being served. While the description of the menu I read on line said the pricing was comparable to local chains, we found it quite expensive."
