"Appetizer: We ordered the kielbasa, sauerkraut and cabbage. It was very yummy!
Side Salads- Garden American - It's a mixed lettuce salad - it was very good and the croutons were yummy!
My bf got the Golabki - aka - Stuffed cabbage - He really didn't care for it too much.
I got the Placek po zbojnicku - potato pancake covered with traditional polish beef goulash. The potato pancake was kind of burnt, but the goulash tasted pretty good."

"It was a very nice evening. The chicken liver appetizer was delicious! The menu is clearly different than all the American fare that comes your way. Don't try to judge the Belvedere by comparing it to American menus. It's clearly European and should be appreciated for its cultural uniqueness. It was our first time and we'll go back. I got a vodka specialty drink and it tasted like expensive apple cider, so if you want alcohol, get it straight up! The service was very attentive and responsive to our needs."

"The food we had was excellent. Be ready for a European experience and plan for plenty of time. We plan on going back! We went in the afternoon on Easter and almost had the place to ourselves, plus parking is free on a Sunday."

"We were early for our reservation but were seated right away. Thoroughly enjoyed the Polish and central-European dishes, which were seasoned just right and served piping hot. As the evening progressed, the service did slow down, but that did not take away from our enjoyment of a very well prepared meal."

"The food was good and hearty. Our dessert tasted as though it had been refrigerated too long and there was only one server working the whole restaurant and bar. It was an OK expereince, but we probably won't return."

"This is Polish cooking like Chicago & Cleveland that I have missed since coming to Denver. This cozy, homey restaurant feels like an owner operated bistro in Europe. Delicious cabbage roll appetizer. Borscht was mostly broth but contained two excellent meat peirogies. Veal schnitzel rolled around a filling (like a German rouladen)& the beef entree was delicious. My husband doesn't care for gingerbread, so we shared the Polish creme cake which turned out to be whip cream with a puff pastry top and bottom. Very pretty and calorie laden, but who cares at this point. We'll be back soon to try other menu items. Finally great Polish cooking in Denver and the Polish beer was good too!"

"Growing up eating Polish food I can say that Belvedere reminds me so much of the foods my grandmother used to make. Definitely try the golabki, it tastes even better than I remember! Their veal dishes are excellent and the pierogis are a must to try. Very hearty and filling; an absolute comfort food."

"I went with my two sons on Saturday, 3/2. Me and one of my sons had to split the appetizer and dessert for $52.80, but my other son got a full appetizer and dessert for $26.40. This is completely ridiculous!!!!!!
The individual prices for the appetizer (shared) and main course is $24, could not find the dessert price.
This is not the way to bring customers back to the restaurant!!!
Very cheap approach!!!
One of my sons went to another restaurant on Wednesday, 3/8, full meal for two people for $52.80, nothing shared!!!!"

"This is a small cozy place with very good Polish food. I want to return to try more items on the menu! Great spot for a quiet, intimate dinner if you'd like, or even a more casual meal. Lots of variety in the menu and everything was very tasty. We had a great time and will definitely go back."

"We enjoyed the change of pace going to a Polish restaurant. We enjoyed the food selection and were transported to eastern / central Europe. The entre portions were large and well balanced with meat and vegetables. The beet soup was excellent. The veal was also very good; a beet side brought taste and texture harmony to the dish. We were seated by the window and enjoyed a beautiful sunset over the mountains. When we first arrived, people were on the patio enjoying a drink. There was live music that evening, adding to the ambience. This is a good location for walking from the DAM and library area, making a total museum- dinner experience. It is also close to convention/theater area,16th street, and Pavilians for dinner before or after show"

"We booked this restaurant for 5280 restaurant week. The place is very tiny. Tables crowded together. And all the chairs were rickety. Wooden chairs that actually leaned back!
But the worst was being taken for granted of! We ordered off the 5280 menu, which we weren't to impressed with. But when we got home, my husband checked the regular menu on line and what we ordered from that menu, our meal would have cost $41.00 not $52.80! Plus the food was much better on the main menu that my husband would have been much happier."

"We arrived for an early reservation and were promptly seated. We came for Denver Restaurant Week and were quickly overwhelmed with the delicious choices for appetizers and entrees.
Service was efficient and helpful and our food arrived quickly after we finally narrowed our selections, and we were blown away with the dishes we selected. Our appetizer of stew was bursting with flavor and served with some toasted bread slices to soak up every delicious drop of it, and our entrees were savory and satisfying - we had pierogies, with an assortment to try the different choices, while my fiance enjoyed a potato pancake dish.
Dessert was a little more conventional, but equally delicious. All in all, it was a great culinary adventure!"

"There was only one girl working the ENTIRE front of the house. Hostess, bartender, server, food runner, and buser. For all I know she was cooking it too. Needless to say she was frazzled and service was extremely slow.
Now for the food: I'm a salt addict, and the cook was a little heavy handed with the salt even for me. With that said, it was OUTSTANDING. Well worth all the water I had to drink because of the salt. Finally, the desert ended the meal on a pretty big low. The pastry was rubbery and had obviously come straight from the freezer.
If the apps and entrees hadnt been so good I would not be going back due to the numerous negatives.... but the bottom line is that good Polish food is hard to come by in Denver."

"We were there early on Valentines dat. Prix fixed menu featured many of their most popular appetizers and main dishes. Appetizer of traditional potato cakes topped with Cottage cheese and capers in the shape of a heart were delicious. Salad was a bowl of under ripe tomatoes and cucumbers with gated cheese and vinegar. Huge disappointment and heard several others complain. Main dish of cabbage rolls with the most creamy mashed potatoes was true to polish cooking and wonderful. Dessert was an unforgettable plate of dry cakes. Two main criticisms: wine is not listed on beverage menu but available if you ask for it and thy were very understaffed 2 waitresses for entire place. This led very long waits for courses and bill. Authentic, cozy."

"The menu Valentines day menu was not explained so we ordered extra appetizers etc we ended up paying extra for. Some tables got champaign and we weren't offered any. We also got our food after two tables that seated after us. The waitress just didn't communicate prices or the menu and frankly I feel I got ripped off on our bill. I always like the food but overall really disappointed. I also brought a date there for the first time and they weren't impressed with the experience but liked the food. We had three for dinner and it was just a poor experience overall."

"We were looking for a place to eat downtown before a theater show, and the day before the event, a Google Offers deal came in for this place, so I gave it a try. Good decision! The staff are very friendly and happy to recommend dishes off the large menu, and they do offer a lot of traditional Polish food. We both enjoyed our pierogi plates. The interior decor is very nice and makes you feel like you are in Eastern Europe. I recommend this place and would eat here again if I was in the area."
