One visit to Anthony’s creative Italian cuisine & you will be hooked. As you walk into one of three beautifully redesigned dinning rooms, in a building that dates back to the 1930’s, you will smell the aromas of the freshest ingredients and spices, which are used to create the unique menu. This coupled with the warm earth tones & natural lighting from the oversized windows makes dining here a truly special experience. Outdoor café dinning when weather permits adds to the romantic ambience.
As you are escorted to your table you can’t help but notice the beautifully crafted temperature controlled oak wine cabinet which houses up to 200 bottles of wine. Since the restaurant is a BYOB, the owners wanted to provide customers with a place to store their favorite wines so they are readily available each time they visit. Anthony’s also offers the use of any of their dinning rooms for private events.
"This was our third visit to Anthony's and we were not disappointed. We had some concerns since we were a group of six on Mother's Day, but this proved to be a non-factor. The food was delicious, the service friendly if a little more rushed than usual (this is a minor criticism--the restaurant was busy and this was understandable). Two in our party were foodies, and they were very pleased. A wonderful meal."

"The food is no where near worth the price. The fried calamari appetizer had thin, tough slices of calamari with a thick, brittle coating. The caesar had too much garlic (a problem for most South Jersey Italian restaurants), the beet salad had too many greens for the price, and the burrata with tomato was absolutely boring with paper thin slices of tomato. The veal was chewy and not very tender--I could have gotten the same quality at any local shopping strip restaurant for $8 less. Not enough crabmeat was in the dish to satisfy the price. Same with the crab and pasta. Waitress was cranky to the point of rudeness. The rest of the wait staff were very attentive and quick, so I left a generous tip. I wish I hadn't."

"Everything about our dining experience at Anthony's was great! We brought friends who are from Nova Scotia and they were very impressed with the restaurant. The food was delicious, the service impeccable, and the atmosphere was perfect for conversation and visiting. We loved the menu!"

"Have been to this restaurant twice in the past 6 weeks and enjoyed both visits. Very cozy atmosphere with great appetizers and entrees. The crab bisque was one of the best, if not the best, that I have ever tasted. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will try to eat there again ASAP!Yum!!"

"We have been to Anthony's several times before with wonderful experiences. This is why we chose to come here for South Jersey Restaurant Week. The menu had many wonderful options with small up-charges on certain items, which wasn't a problem. After the appetizer, the rest of the meal was sub-par at best. Calamari was very tough and chewy, the tuna wasn't flavored well and dry. My wife and a friend had a shrimp and pasta dish that they put a good amount of red pepper to flavor it up. I had the lamb, and although cooked perfectly, there was no flavor. Service was amazing as usual, no problem there. Just very disappointed in the food this time around. We hope that this was just a very tired menu after a full week."

"Food is outstanding. However, the hostess was rude and an idiot. Only after I threatened to leave after being ignored for 15 minutes after my reservation time did we get seated."

"Our food was fantastic, our host was gracious, I think our waitress was having an off night which is why I only gave 3 stars for service. Overall I think this is a great little restaurant with great food and atmosphere."

"We live out of state and made a special effort to return to Anthony's. The small environment makes for a lovely evening or afternoon meal. The food is superb and rates with the finest of restaurants in Philadelphia, and other major cities' premier restaurants without the matching high city prices! The seafood dishes and the salads are excellent. The service is attentive but reserved. Highly recommend."

"We enjoyed our meals but were a bit disappointed with the limited menu. The only veal dish was a veal chop which was a bit eye opening for an Italian restaurant."

"Anthony's is a quaint neighborhood Italian restaurant. If your expectations are of a quaint, unexceptional neighborhood dining experience, you won't be disappointed. However, the inclusion of the adjective, "creative," in the establishment's moniker implies culinary pretensions beyond the abilities of Anthony's chefs to execute. There is, in fact, little creative about what Anthony's has to offer. The crab cakes were run-of-the mill. The Seafood Abbundanza was bland. While the ambiance was pleasant, reminiscent of a 1930s New York spaghetti house, the staff was ambivalent. At $25 to $40 per entree, the juice wasn't worth the squeeze."

"Although we live in town, we have only been to Anthony's one other time. We went on the spur of the moment on Valentine's Day. The food was quite good and the service was perfect. I think it should be a bit darker to give it more ambiance."

"Restaurant was chilly inside. Service was very slow. Food was ok. We had calamari which was very good but not sure why they gave so much dipping sauce (3 types) with such a small serving of calamari - what a waste b/c the dipping sauces were really good.. I didn't love my seared tuna with linguini puttanesca (only b/c I don't like that charred taste on my meats and the tuna lacked any type of flavor. My friend liked her sea bass. The others ordered lamb osso bucco and were not impressed. Dessert was the best part - delicious cannoli and tiramisu made up for the bland meal. Disappointed, b/c we have previously visited and enjoyed the food."

"What a great place. The food was outstanding. Our server was perfect, very attentive without being noticed. Both our dishes (the lamb special and the veal saute) were prepared and served to perfection. Food was served at a perfect temp. and the meat was juicey and tasty. I can't wait to go back."

"We ate here on the Saturday before Valentine's day, and it was busier than usual. The food and timing were excellent. The only problem was the noisy table of 4 next to us, but the upstairs room was full with holiday diners. This group was just extra noisy (2 men with booming voices)so it was less romantic than other days. Try the specials of the day- I had pistaccio-crusted branzino and hazelnut gelato for dessert. Both were excellent. Can't wait to go back."

"Visited Anthony's on Feb 2, 2013 with a party of 6 to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday. They did a great job with helping plan the cake for dessert. This was our 3rd time at Anthony's, and the overall food and service were excellent. Open Table is very easy to use to set up the reservation, too."

"My wife and I always feel welcome here. The staff is exceptionally warm and helpful ("We don't always carry that ravioli, and I'm sure you'd enjoy it.") The food choices throughout the menu are interesting and tasty. Last week my wife had a light pasta dish (it's possible) and I enjoyed a lamb Ossa Bucca (sp?). Excellent. The prices are very reasonable; it's a BYOB. I've started to make it a special event spot (which includes the rare date night that my wife and I can schedule)."

"Had not been to Anthony's for many years. Friends wanted to go last Saturday night. Was so good, I went back for HH restaurant week with the guys. I primarily frequent BYOBs because I drink ro drink from my cellar for all the obvious reasons. Anthony's wine service (decanter and Riedel glasses) is a great touch. Will be adding this restaurant on to my regular list."

"Very nice dinner, great service, a bit overpriced for what we got. Had to wait a long time for bread, but the waiter was very patient with my parents, and that was nice."
