Menu items range from Moroccan Chicken Satays and Portobello Mushroom Tarts to Sage Roasted Chicken with Gouda cheese grits and our new crowd favorite Drunken Pork Osso Bucco with Sweet Potato Ravioli. Menu prices range from $6-21. J. Paul'z offers on-site catering as well as off-site catering and bar services. Looking for a place to hold your next party? J. Paul'z hosts parties from 10-100 people. "We were looking forward to an evening of tapas and sushi, the "specialties" of J Paulz. What a let down we had. The room and table + settings were dirty and I wondered if this is the type of place I might get hepatitis. The dumplings were skimpy and lukewarm, the tuna tostadas were so-so. The menu attempts to offer something for everyone. My husband ordered steak frites, the steak was not cooked as he requested and the fries were soggy. I had a maki, the roll was mashed and overloaded with mayonnaise. The only redeeming feature of j Paulz was our waiter, he was friendly and professional. But I will not go back."

"We went for Mothers Day Brunch.
The waiter was not good. Did not explain anything. Delivered food and left. We had no Salt/Pepper, he didnt ask if we need anything.
When we arrived, the Hostess was texting, we had to wait for her to be attentive.
The seat cushions were torn open and you could see the foam.
AppleBees would have been a better dining experience."

"GREAT neighborhood restaurant, close to home :)! My husband and I met two other couples for dinner. We sat in the lounge seating area in the back. Very relaxed setting, took our time eating drinking, eating some more and drinking some more! A little bit pricy, but you get great service and food!!!

"Went there with 2 friends. Our waiter was great, very friendly & attentive. We all tried the calamari appetizer which was tender and tasty. 2 of our party had the short ribs which were very good. I had the veggie rolls and butternut squash ravioli (2 appetizers); the rolls were yummy but I was a bit disappointed with the ravioli as it did not have much taste. We ordered the pomegranate sangria for the table which needed a bit of sweetening. This is a casual restaurant and the experience was very pleasant. We would certainly return. There is a pleasant outdoor area which will be very nice when the weather warms up."

"It has been a while since I have been to JPaulz. I was so pleasantly surprised as was the party i was with. Believe it or not it was one of the best meals I have had in any restaurant in Charleston!!! Outstanding!!!"
