"Good service. Some of the food was good; bread pudding, tomato soup, taco fixings, meat, etc. The breakfast potatoes were bland and the gravy for the biscuits was disgusting, tasted like charred toast. There were some obvious quality control issues in terms of food. That, or a chef who isn't as good as the rest.
That said, I would go again in the hopes that the problems were remedied."

I LET THEM OFF AT THE DOOR AND THEY WENT IN AND THE HOSTESS LEAD THEM UP THESE STAIRS AND OF COURSE THE BUFFET WAS DOWNSTAIRS?? SO TWO OLD LADIES WITH CANES WERE TO GO UP AND DOWN WITH FOOD?? THE WAITER WAS VERY KIND AND HELPED GET A TABLE DOWNSTAIRS. THE SCRAMBLED EGGS WERE DRY AND THE FOOD WAS NOT ADEQUATELY REPLENISHED. "We arrived early for our reservation so had to sit a bit but were seated within a reasonable time. Our server was incredible - very courteous, prompt, and kept our glasses filled!
One meal was returned to the kitchen, but apologies flowed, the entree was replaced, and that entree was comped without asking.
Portions were generous. Overall, we will probably dine their again."

"The morning brunch on Saturdays and Sundays is wonderful. I have now been there three times for it and am pleased every time. The food is divine and the bottomless mimosas can never fail! I love this deal and wish I could go every weekend! Additionally, the service is outstanding and always pleasant and welcoming."

"This wasn't our first visit to Americana, but it was our first foray into their weekend brunch. My husband and my baby were with me, and everything was perfect! Our waitress gave us a tour of the buffet, and we got down to business. Everything was fresh and delicious, from the piping hot, fluffy scrambled eggs to the fruit to the pecan rolls. We didn't partake in the drink bar, but from the looks of it, I'd definitely recommend it. The grilled cheese bar was pretty awesome, too.
Bring your appetite, because you're going to need it!"

"Love the availability to book a lunch reservation online for a large group. When we arrived the table was ready and we were seated immediately! If you are looking for an awesome burger at lunch time I would recomend the "Burger Americana" a House seasoned burger with Tomato jam, Dijon aioli, Crispy fried onions, White Cheddar, Bacon!

"We had a most enjoyable dinner after attending a performance at the Temple of Performing Arts. It was so convenient for us to walk down the street for dinner. We loved the fact that you accept reservations on a Saturday evening. Most important was the fact that you have a gluten free menu for our daughter and even gluten free beer. "The crew at Americana went above and beyond when my small group arrived for a bachelorette party dinner. Not only did they buy the bride's drink, they also provided us with free dessert and a glass of champagne for the bride when they asked us to move down to the bar area to make way for a larger party after we'd already settled the bill. They went above and beyond to make our dining experience memorable. This was my second trip to Americana for a special occasion, and I can't recommend it highly enough."

"The burger my wife had was great. It is a shame she had to pay $3 extra for a side of asparagus(the $3 charge was not on the meuu but the waitress did mention it). My meat loaf was ok but nothing great. Our bill was $52($60 with tip) for meatloaf ,burger and 4 beers, this is Des Moines Iowa not Chicago.

"I thought the food was OK, nothing terribly impressive. My bone in rib eye was under cooked and fairly tough. My wife's pasta dish was pretty good though. Service was slow and it wasn't busy at all. The bar area looks like it could be a happening spot and probably is. Go for drinks not for dinner."

"Wow, was I disappointed. Sources said I just HAD to try this brunch, so my husband and I went on Easter Sunday. Arrived 5 minutes before reservation and were promptly seated; a good sign. It went downhill from there. Waitress was prompt and pleasant but committed the cardinal sin of wait-staffing - asking my husband for his order first. Gave us tour of the buffet line, a nice touch. Then we dove it. Ugh. The food was disappointing, much of it consisting of that which will fill one up quickly but lacks any flavor; potatoes galore. A grilled cheese sandwich bar? With enormous Texas toast slices? No shrimp, no eggs benedict, no omelets - staples to brunch buffets. Smoked salmon was dry and scarce. Will not go back for brunch. Too bad."

"Sometimes choices are not fun: 1)Fantastic selection of food, more than you can sample a little of each one, especially the smoked salmon.
2) Outstanding bloody mary buffet, with enough condiments for the drink you don't need the food line.
As a big fan of the Bloody Mary buffet line (Farmers Market)the Bombshell Bloody Mary ranks right up in the top 3.It fell slightly short not having chilled peeled shrimp or the meat straw."

"I have been here for lunch, tapas and brunch. The service is usually hit or miss. The food is the same way. There are some excellent items on the menu and some that I would never care to have again. The brunch is a great fun idea, but again, some items are way better executed than others. I think a little more attention to detail and fewer options would be a better way for them to go. Overall, fun atmosphere and concept, but I can get more consistently great food at other places."

"The Bombshell brunch was phenomenal. It was a busy day (St. Patrick's Day) and it took a while for the waitress to come take our orders due to the holiday crowd, but she was attentive thereafter. The number of dishes in the buffet was awe-inspiring and taste was delicious. Our table all got the bottomless brunch specials ($20) and two of us ordered the construct-your-own bottomless drinks (mimosas, bloody marys, and screwdrivers) which was good, although we had little room for drinks with all the food! Plan on several courses and come on an empty stomach - great food, great value!"

"We celebrated our 10th anniversary with our children, family, and friends. They accommodated our group nicely, and served us delicious food and drinks for a very reasonable price. The server comped my husband and me our first round of drinks to help us celebrate, which was very nice! I wish they had some crackers available to help soothe my toddler while she waited for food. The bartender tried to help by giving us a chunk of bread, but it didn't have the same effect."

"I've been anxious to try Americana's brunch. 1st we had to stand outside in the rain/snow until someone noticed us, as the doors somehow were locked. I realize it was probably 2 minutes, but with a 1 yr old, it made it seem even longer. I was very excited to try the grilled cheese bar, only to get upstairs, bite into my sandwich and realize they had given me the wrong one. (I ordered #5 cheese/bacon, was given cream cheese/jalepeno) When I went downstairs, I was going to tell the woman cooking, but could tell she was having a hard time as it was, & could not understand me. Our service was great, & the rest of the brunch was delicious. Just wish it had started off on a better note & that my grilled cheese was correct. We will try again!"

"Food was very good. Recommend Prime Rib, Ravioli and Crab Rangoon Dip. Only one cocktail ordered but it was a poor excuse for a martini. Service was average. Prices are very reasonable. Main reason for the recommendation is the food."
