PLEASE NOTE: IF NO "RESERVATIONS" ARE AVAILABLE AT YOUR REQUESTED TIME... WE DO ACCEPT WALK-IN TABLE SEATING IN OUR LOUNGE OR OUTDOOR DECK WHERE WE OFFER OUR FULL MENU!
The Pink Door is an independently owned (nevercloned, never genetically modified) restaurant that has been quietly dedicated to fresh & local Italian food since 1981. Its seafood & produce driven menu has been the central theme throughout its wildly popular domain in Seattle's Pike Place Market.
"A reunion 41 years in the making, this early dinner on the lanai/patio was a wonderful surprise! All of our orders were perfect. The servers were informed and pleasant, I would come back again in a flash. Delicious sauces, salsa's. The raw oysters melted in my mouth, yum! The tiramisu was the only blah dish that we had. Thanks Pink Door!"

"It was one of those rare warm sunny May Seattle evenings and we were so lucky to eat outdoors. The view from the patio was really lovely the sunset over the Sound was colorful and relaxing. The noise level was pretty lively as we entered the main indoor dining area but seem to melt into a low hum as we entered the outdoor tables. The server was very knowledgeable about the menu as well as the local beer and wine selections. He was also friendly and cordial. The homemade pasta was delicious and they served it as an appetizer in half portions. I had the Cioppino, prawns mussels clams calamari, and although it said "spicy tomato sauce "there was nothing spicy about it,however, the fish was fresh. Altogether, great dining experience !!"

"When the weather is nice in Seattle the patio at the Pink Door can't be beaten. We thoroughly enjoyed fresh seafood, interesting regional beer, a fabulous not-too-sweet dessert."

"We had a lovely table overlooking the water - every course of our meal was delicious and not pretentious. Despite being outside we were still sheltered enough to be warm. Our waiter was warm and friendly and attentive, but not obsequious. We had heard good things about Pink Door and now we know why. It was a real treat to eat there - I hope we can do it again soon. Prices were a bit high but considering the food and the view it was worth every penny."

"Delicious food served on the deck. I just wish the deck tables were a bit bigger. They had to clear the bread away to make room for our lunch plates. It feels cramped."

"The Pink Door has been our 'go to' restaurant in Seattle for a wonderful celebratory night out for years. Their food is always impeccable and delicious. The atmosphere is fun and festive and never stuffy feeling. Wait staff is well informed and acommodating. It is always a wonderful night."

"We had a wonderful meal and a very helpful waiter who gave us good recommendations. The food was delicious (Caesar salad with grilled chicken and Mama's Rigatoni and Meatballs), and the ambience was very nice. It was a warm evening and we were able to enjoy our meal on the rooftop patio. We topped off our meal by sharing three scoops of gelato – three different flavors and all yummy."

"The food was very good. The service was attentive. The after dinner entertainment and dessert in the bar area was enjoyable. All-in-all, a fun way to spend an evening in downtown Seattle. Recommended."

"I'm really glad we went to the Pink Door for our business dinner. It was a great atmosphere, excellent food, and spectacular service. It was a bit hard to find from the alley, but it does have a pink door! I would definitely go back next time I'm in Seattle. Although it was a bit pricey, you get what you pay for."

"Our visit started off in an interesting fashion as there is no sign identifying the restaurant... just the pink door. Given that we were visiting from out of town, and were a little unsure of the location to start with, this was slightly annoying. We walked past it a couple of times. Anyway, the service was great, and the dessert was delicious. I had the spaghetti with artichoke hearts, and honestly it was "ok"... not as flavorful as I was hoping. I wish I had gotten something different. But the rest of the menu looked good and I would still recommend it as a good place to eat in the market area."

"Food and service were great. Didn't care for the brown paper on the tables. Made me feel like they were looking for an easy clean up and it kept catching on my sleeves as I reached for things. Also wasn't crazy about the table where we sat. It was in the main dining room in the southeast corner. Had a pipe in my back and a noisy box on the wall next to me that sounded like the furnace or something. This spot might be better used for some decor item vs. a table for customers."

"Lovely, warm and friendly environment. I thought the service was excellent. Prices very fair. I was underwhelmed, however, with my food. While the calamari was tender, I thought the sauce was ordinary and even a little unpleasant. My rockfish was overdone. The dessert was wonderful - chocolate with raspberry couli. Unless the sun is out and I am in Pike Place, I do not plan to return."

"great experience at pink door! food was excellent - my boyfriends rabbit sugo was better than my rockfish. I loved their calamari and my chocolate flourless cake was awesome. the restaurant is very small so all seats are really close together. live entertainment nightly made for a nice post dinner drink in their lounge with a band. will definitely go back."

"The food experience here is probably one of the top 3 I've ever had in Seattle. Everything tasted delicious and it was fun going in a big group so I got to try a lot of different plates. The only downfall was that our waiter was a bit nippy. It just started off wrong by him interrupting a 1-on-1 conversation and saying "OR you could ask me since I've been working here for a dozen years." Then like the cherry on top, he said he'd split checks even though it was against policy and then brought me a menu to show where it said that. If you were worried about your tip, Patrick, then you just lost it. I will be thankful (and generous with my money) when you do it out of the goodness of your heart. Only reason why I didn't give 5 stars."

"I had a great time here! Went with my girlfriend and another couple on a Monday night and the "trapeze" act was fantastic. Servers were friendly and very knowledgeable. Food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced. I would have had a tough time finding it if I didn't work nearby (that's how I found it in the first place) but that's part of the appeal. Her face, when I opened the door after walking down Post Alley, was priceless! Would 100% recommend this to a friend and would definitely go again."

"Food is excellent, seasonal and inspired. Portion sizes are small but appropriate. Extra charges for things like splitting plate and no substitutions allowed. We sat outside this time. We had an excellent view of the waterfront and enjoyed the spring sunshine. We've sat inside before and it is fine, but not as nice and a little loud."

"This might be a good place for a date or small group, but they weren't helpful or welcoming to a large group, even for a 40th birthday celebration. The meal was fine, but not memorable. The service was quick, unenthusiastic, impersonal. And it was disappointing to have no Saturday evening dining room entertainment, esp since the lounge is first come first serve. I think they might have good nights that are fun there, but this was not one of them. I really felt that they resented our being a group of 10 and wanted us to leave as quickly as possible."

"Exceptional service and outstanding food! My group presented unique challenges for the staff and they were up to the task. We ate a variety of foods, all were culinary masterpieces! The cheese board is a favorite, exposing the guest to fantastic flavor combinations and cheeses that draw you back for more visits. All the ingredients were noticeably fresh, the flavors popped, and the service outstanding!"

"We had such a nice time at The Pink Door. The best thing was the flourless chocolate cake- really divine and their offering a gluten free bread for me. It was just delicious. They didn't make me feel like a second class diner because I had special needs. The squid appetizer and the oysters with pink granite also stood out. We will go back often."
