"My siblings & I took our mom here for Mother's Day. None of us had been before, but I had known a few friends who worked here back in the day who all said good things. We arrived before they opened (which is noon), and they came to the door and happily greeted us (which if you've ever worked in a restaurant before you know you could easily go the other way with that). The restaurant itself is very beautiful, comfortable, and modern. What I loved about going during the daytime was all of the natural lighting! Our server was wonderful - all smiles and full menu knowledge. Food was delicious. We ordered the ahi tuna app, some salads, some tilapia, and one of the pastas and it was terrific all around."

"This was an absolutely awful experience. We will never dine here again. The hostess was incompetent and rude, and the food was generally poorly prepared. We were seated at an awkward and poorly situated table despite having a reservation. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone, not even an enemy."

"My wife and I go to Greystone regularly for special occasions (anniversary, birthday, Mother's Day...). Service is always nice, prompt and professional. The restaurant gives great food at a much better price than Ruth's Chris or Mortons and in a formal, but more approachable & down to earth atmosphere.
The food is great whether its steaks, regular entrees, pasta. The Filet Mignon Napoleon, Cowboy Ribeye, and the Grilled Chicken Chevre are repeat favorites. Best calamari we've ever had. The bread pudding and Molten Chocolate Lava Bomba are both great desserts that we've gotten many times."

"Greystone has become one of our favorites. The menu has a large variety so we aren't restricted regardless of our tastes that evening. We have had "Billy" as our waiter recently. He is very persoonable without be obtrusive. Always available but never hovering. He really adds to the experience."

"Based on expectations due to past reviews we were somewhat disappointed. Ten minutes to get water. Meal took some time so we thought reviews were on point. That proved to be false. Ordered steak (medium-rare) and it came back dry and medium throughout except for the very center which was medium-rare. Did not ask for a new steak because my wife had received her meal and I did not want her to eat separately. My spouse ordered a salad with turkey and chicken. She was disappointed with the fact they used what seemed to be deli meat and chicken like the common frozen type used for cafeteria salads. French onion soup, commonly made with a beef based stock, seemed watered down. We hope our experience was an anomaly as other reviews are better."

"I've been here twice, and have Loved it both times. The food is great! The service is very good, the prices aren't bad, the ambiance is nice. Can be a tad tricky to find if you don't know the area, but it's worth the time to search it out. I would recommend this for everything except kids. I Love kids, don't get me wrong, but this is a place to conduct business, have a nice friendly lunch a date or a romantic evening or a special occasion. If I come to a place like this, I prefer to not have to deal with babies crying or kids fussing. It's a place for adults to relax, enjoy and unwind. Overall...a great find!"

"The only thing I didn't care for at Greystone is its location in an office building!With out window treatments, it reminds me of a diner.
My filet mingnon was excellent, my wife's dish was super! My son thought that his chicken dish had been cooked too long..dry and somewhat tough to cut! Billy our waiter was very attentive and informative as well. All in all, a good performance by Greystone."

"It was a last minute reservation for a party of ten and we were presently surprised to have been booked into a private room which we leaned after arriving at the restaurant. The service was excellent. The food is very good and the wine selection was very decent.

"We have dined at the Greystone Grill many times in the past but not recently for various reasons. We realized that it's been a while seen so we decided to check it out again. The Trio of Mediterranean Dips was delicious as well as their signature Greystone Salad. Unfortunately, our entrees, the Mahi Mahi and Salmon, were over cooked. The delivery of the entrees took excessively long which probably explains why our entrees were overcooked. Except to the late arrival of the entrees the service was good. Our server was very friendly and courteous."

"We were early for our 7pm reservation but were seated immediately. Vaughn, our outstanding and efficient server, approached us immediately and asked for our drink orders leaving us to look over the menu. Their menu provides an excellent range of fare including, but not limited to, steaks, pastas, salads, and fresh fish. Two of us had the Napoleon consisting of several large pieces of filet, stacked with roasted potatoes, spinach and mushrooms served with a port wine reduction which was delicious. One person had steak which he said was done a little more than medium but was still tender, and the other person had grilled salmon which was cooked to perfection."

"The service was very good and out waiter was attentive. The decor felt a little bit too much like an office space for me, but that was attributed to the color pallet I'd say. I went for valentines and the limited menue left something to be desired, not to mention they ran out of deserts and we had an early dinner at 530. The food itself was very bland and pretty overlooked. Our steaks needed a lot of help from the salt and pepper department, not to mention both of ours were burned despite requesting them to be medium. I don't think this place is worth the price of 120$ for two people."

"wasn't told in advance about Prix fix menu. Ordered surf & Turf. One Medium Rare, One rare. Both came purple. Waiter took both plates back to kitchen and returned five minutes later with just the surf and potato. He said the manager wanted us to get started while we wait for the steaks. Sorry, this is just not done this way. Steaks returned and waiter really did not know what they were supposed to be cooked to. They were both medium at best. Regardless, we finished and ordered the one dessert menu item. Cheescake. Waiter said they ran out. We were told to choose from other desert items, but really cheescake was the only item I wanted then. I spoke with the Manager, who accepted responsibility for the "experience" that we had."

"The restaurant has pretensions beyond its reach. The food is not bad but has notable shortfalls. For instance who puts a big chunk of parmesan on a dessert cheese plate - I mean really??
The setting and ambience is a significant step down from what the place was obviously aiming for.
These guys really don't know what they are doing.

"There were three of us at our table. My wife was very happy. My daughter's salmon was also good although the marinara sauce on the vegetables was so spicy that she didn't eat them. My meal was a disaster. I ordered the ribs (a Greystone Grill specialty). They arrived so overdone that instead of falling off the bone (as described on the menu) they were almost burned on to the bones. The outer ribs were more like crisp bacon. I then ordered the salmon - specifying medium (my daughter's was medium well). Mine arrived so overdone that the outer edges could not be chewed. The servers were apologetic and the manager gave us a certificate for two free entrees."

"The bill came to $420 for seven people and that included tip. This was my first visit and I 'll have to say that while it was a pleasant dining experience, I was somewhat disappointed. Four people in our party had steaks and they were either cold when served or not cooked as requested. None of the four wanted to speak up or send their food back so they dealt with it. The quality of the meat was good but at those prices it should be cooked correctly. The crab soup and crab cakes were very good. Our waitress was great and she took care of all of our needs. I would go back to Greystone but for that kind of money I would try some of the other good restaurants in the area first."

"The food at the restaurant was very tasty, however they restaurant was having issues with the heat and a/c unit and would get very hot then very cold so much so that it made the food to cold to eat, and when I mentioned it to the waitress she said there was a similar complaint made at another table and that her manager was looking into it. I told her that the food was too cold too eat now and if should could box it up. She did we left a $150.00 later with cold food:-("

"Thought we'd give it another try after having stayed away for quite awhile, due to poor quality. Unfortunately, no better than before. Filet was dry and lacked any flavor. Baked potato tasted old & reheated. Combo plate with steak and tilapia not steakhouse quality, more like at a "buffet". Sorry not going back again."

"On a scale of 1 to 10 this was a 7.5. I was not impressed w/ their Paella. In retrospect I am now wondering if someone forgot to put some sauce on the dish. It was very dry. I expected a "wetter" presentation. It had some really interesting sea food but over all it was too dry for my taste. My wife had a wonderful dinner w/ the filet and crab meat. I would try them again. The service was good, not great but certainly better than most. No beer on draft but, according to my wife, the wine selection was good. Beer almost seems like an after thought in places like this. Not everyone in Howard county is an oenophile."

"I thought the food was really good and the Restaurant Week deal was very reasonable. The steak was cooked perfectly and I thought the portion size was also perfect. I went with my husband and our friend and we enjoyed the evening. We got a pitcher of Sangria with our dinner and we took our time and enjoyed the food and drinks. We never felt rushed to leave. The service was very attentive."

"I have been to the Greystone Grill many times before and thoroughly enjoyed my experience. This time, I had business guests in from out of town and selecting this restaurant was both what I considered to be a good choice and it was geographically convenient. We all the the signature crab and corn soup (at $8.50 a bowl). The soup was all broth, there was no crab and no corn; very disappointing as I have had the soup many times in tyhe past and there was always texture to it. 2 of us had filet mignon; neither of us could finish them, they were very tough like a cheap piece of meat and all of the side dishes were cold. Something has obviously changed and usually it's the chef. Would not recommend the restaurant."

"Having been there many times I find Graystone to always be good, but on this occasion it was better then usual. The kitchen was at the top of their game! Our waiter wasn't having his best night, but these things happen. Will definitely be back!!!"

"The food was very good, but the bar service both before dinner at he bar and at the table was slow. I was upset the only reservation was for 745 PM, but when I went inside the place was empty. It did get rocking by 8. The food was very good and cooked as ordered. I would like to have seen more seasonal offerings."
