Located in a historic 1895 building this casual Italian eatery brings a bit of "little Italy" to Colorado Springs. We offer many classic Italian dishes such as lasagna, veal marsala and Tutto di Mare as well as Chef Franco’s original fare.
"This was a nice restaurant, though not really the place to go with kids. The food was very good and authentic, so that was a plus, however, the service was not great. The restaurant was full which slowed the service down...a lot. Surprising for a Thursday night. The seater/greeter seemed overwhelmed and the server was hard to find when we wanted refills, etc. I like the feel of the restaurant and would go back, but only as a date."

"Some friends and I found this place a few years ago as we were just driving by. We stopped for dinner and WOW, was the food good. Fast service, attentive staff, and excellent Italian food. Fresh, good size portions without being overwhelming."

"We go here quite a bit. They are not afraid of garlic and spice. They have several unique appetizers, but I really like the polenta and mushrooms. Large selection of pasta dishes and decent wine selection."

"My female friend and I found the male waiter disgruntle, and slow. The appetizer was delicious but the Sword fish tasted like the water it was born in."

"I had a wonderful experience while in town for business and dining alone. The owner/greeter was charming and spent a little time with me talking about his wine list and updates he is planning to make. I had a nice Italian red. My server was fantastic, just enough chatter to keep me from feeling alone, but not too much to interfere with my dining. I had their special Calamari Arrabiatt appetizer, great flavor and nice heat, and for my entree, their special own special Veal Tuscano. Perfect for veal and garlic lovers. Salad and a great warm pannini rounded out the meal. This is a really nice neighborhood restaurant with good food, fantastic service and very reasonable prices. Parking, too."

"In the vast wasteland of chain restaurants and fast food joints, it is nice to know a place like Paravicini's exists. Excellent food, wine and service. Ted, Franco and the entire staff do it right."

"Always an excellent annual visit with family! Food is excellent and a very good value as well. The website says it all with Billy Joel's "Scenes from an Italian Restaurant" theme music! :-)"

"This was my first time to Franco's Colorado Springs (Old Colorado City) location, but I had eaten at his old Palmer Lake location several times before. The food and service was awesome as expected and lived up to and exceeded the expectations of my guest!"

"The server who 'greeted' me was brusque, and didn't look at my reservation, which stated a)we preferred a quieter area to celebrate a romantic milestone, and b) we had a coupon for a 4 course experience. He sat us beside a very loud group of diners, despite the restaurant being fairly empty (9pm reso). He also gave us regular menus, which were not relevant for the coupon. Turns out, the coupon covers only a very limited menu. We opted to just order from reg. menu as nothing on the limited menu interested us. We both got specials (me veal, he tortellini). They were ok. NOT great. We just spent 4 years in Europe though so we have high standards. We might return for a CASUAL lunch, but never to celebrate, as this place was far from special"

"We really enjoyed our visit to the restaurant. It was our first time and really felt welcome. The food was absolutely the best Italian we had ever had and I was very impressed with the prices. It wasn't too much and very affordable for the food that we received."

"This was one fantastic experience! We made a reservation but it appeared to be unnecessary when we arrived, as there was just a handful of occupied tables. People kept coming throughout our meal and by the time we left the place was nearly full. The service was spectacular and the food simply delicious and out of this world. For the price, we felt the food was a terrific value; salads were real lettuce rather than the standard zero-nutrition iceberg variety, bread delightful, soup light and flavorful, entrees well presented and scrumptious, and dessert beautiful and divine. Our waiter was helpful in selecting our tastes in wine, and both of us were happy with the resultant selection. We're most certainly returning when back in the area!"

"My daughter selected the restaurant for her Birthday, and mentioned it was number # in italian food for a few years running. The food and atmosphere were good and service fair; however fo the average 15 -20 dollaors per plate price tag, I honestly expected the food to be exceptional. To be honest, the lasagna was luke warm and suspiciously similar to a pre-prepared frozen entree, not quite heated properly. Several people in our party had similar comments . The presentation was average. With the main dish, all other side dishes were seperate at about $5 each, (like vegatables) which with a drink would bring the avg cost per person to 20 or 30 dollars. Not worth the price"

"I had pretty high expectations for this restaurant based on a family member's review and recommendation from a year and a half ago. I was extremely disappointed to say the least. I would say this restaurant was just... adequate. The service was mediocre with a few mistakes on our order, it took at lease 20 minutes to receive our order of bread, my eggplant was chewy and overcooked, my wife's chicken was chewy and hard to cut with a fork. She had to use her butter knife to cut the chicken with. Also, I ordered a lemon-aid to drink and it was from a powder.... come on... a freaking powder like I get from a huge can at costco. I'm not sure if it is quality control issue or what but this was a very disappointing meal and a ruined evening."

"We celebrated a friend's birthday and had a group of 8. The atmosphere was awesome, the food was great and everyone raved about the overall experience. They have a gluten-free menu---one of the more extensive found and the food was very good."

"In the vast wasteland of fast food and chain restaurants, it's nice to know that a small independant is out there taking care of those of us that love real food. Paravicini's is one of those rare neighborhood gems. These people know what they're doing."

"Paravicinis is always a delight. We returned after a very long absence...not due to the restaurant but more to being more north of town. We were not disappointed. Fabulous food and drink as always and never rushed or hurried."

"Good food, but because it was Valentine's Day, they didn't plan for a crowd at lunch time. We saw two servers, and the owner had to start serving. Still, the LUNCH time wait from order to food at the table was about an hour. The server was very apologetic and kept bringing bread, but we were getting impatient, as were others around us. I tried something from the dinner menu because I wanted veal (other reviews recommended this), and it was OK. Not the softest veal I've had. The portion was the same size as the lunch portions but twice the price. Lunch was definitely the deal!"

"This is our "go to" spot for special occasions. Unfortunately we forgot you need to make Valentine's day reservations weeks ahead, so ate there the night before. Suspect we weren't the only ones as the restaurant was busy on a Wednesday evening. Service was attentive, waitress pointed out the specials (printed on a card so you didn't have to remember them) and suggested wines. My companion couldn't eat pasta (side dish) so wanted extra vegetables instead. The waitress brought the maitre' de (owner) over to consult. They opted for sautéed spinach - and not just a double serving of the vegetable side. Very nice touch. As always, the food was excellent, the menu has the standard Italian entrees plus several that are their own creation."

"We went the day after Valentines Day (Friday) and had a good time. At 8pm I was surprised at how noisy it was. My wife had a hard time hearing me as we sat across from each other. The food was decent, but not amazing. The lobster bisque was quite watery and not very flavorful. We also had the Chicken Marsala pasta dish and it was OK. The Bruschetta Pomodoro was amazing though. Not sure if it was this way just because it was so busy. Would still recommend this restaurant though because I have been previously and it was good. It's just not 5 star quality."

"I LOVE Paravicini's! My boyfriend and I eat here every chance possible (which is pretty much every pay day). Even when they are packed full (like they were Friday night) the food is always amazing and the service is always pleasant and fast. A special thanks to our waitress Suzanne! You are awesome!! They are surly doing everything right. Everything on the menu is delicious! I have never had a dish I did not enjoy. How many places can you say that about?"
