"Had an awesome pizza and salad- everything is bought locally and served in style. Had the server that was behind the bar and also serving tables. She needs to work on getting back to tables in a timely manner. Aside from that, food is awesome great wine list and lots to choose from!!"

"We like the open ambiance, consistent good food, seasonally changing menu, and good cocktails -- all for a reasonable price! We like equally for lunch or dinner. Although the restaurant is not crammed with families, it is definitely friendly for children, with a park space right outside the patio door in good weather. Mingo's makes their own pastas, yet has other choices for people like me who have to eat low-carb."

"Over all, the food was good, but the Osso Bucco was just so-so. The service was great, EXCEPT our waitress forgot to put in one of the entree orders for our table of eight. So, that one person in our party had to wait. The waitress said she was sorry, but she also just laughed & laughed about it. Frankly, I didn't think it was funny!"

"We had not been to Mingo for several years after a poor experience, and are glad the restaurant where we had planned to take our out-of-state guests was closed on Memorial Day. This time, all four of us had a lovely meal – two of us thought the lasagna with duck ragu was outstanding, and the rabbit and risotto also were very good. Our waiter, Nick R, was excellent – friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. There is a wonderful selection of Italian wines available at reasonable cost. We’ll be back. The restaurant was not very busy, so the noise level may be higher when full."

"Went here for my wife's birthday the other night. In fact, we went to this vey same restaurant last year for her birthday. It's great during warmer weather when they have the garage doors up,and outdoor seating set up. Kids can go,play on the Round and splash around inhale fountain. Food is good, service is great, ambience is super."

"Mingo (west side ) has been around for a few years and has always been a wonderful place for Happy Hour, Lunch and Dinner. I love the staff- all very friendly and very good at what they do! The food is always consistantly good and ambience is flowing and has a great vibe! This place is one of my favorites especially since there are not a lot of great restaurants on the west side of town. Thanks Mingo (old friend!)"

"We had the most fabulous meal at Mingo. We went for Mother's Day dinner with my kids husband, Mom and Step-Dad. Every element of the meal was fantastic from the bread and salad through the entree, all the way to dessert and coffee. The heaven in your mouth quote came from one of my kids, so it is saying a lot that every generation down to 9 years old found every bite to be heavenly. The ambiance is fantastic, and everywhere you look in the restaurant there is something beautiful. Our waiter was exceptional as were all the other staff. Thank you so much. We will be back!!!"

"We greatly enjoyed our group lunch at Mingo. They could not have been more accommodating as we had 4 extra people show up for our party of 7 and they made room. Also, the food was just excellent. Though many of us had the outstanding ravioli, all members of our party commented on how much they enjoyed their entrees."

"We had a cool waitress who rattled off the specials of the evening -- of which there were a giant number -- as if they don't change them every day, which they do. The food was both simple and delicious, with some inventive touches that really helped it to stand out. The quantities were a touch on the large side, actually, but I still managed to clean my plate, it was all so good. The prices are economical considering what you get! The only thing going against Mingo is the location in Beaverton, which is tough for a guy living on the other side of the Willamette to get to, but its placement right beside the Beaverton Central MAX stop is surely convenient."

"Great place for dinner. Excellent services, not hurried, really good food and drinks. We did not know about the Beaverton Mingos, only the main location on 21st. Pleasure to find a great restaurant in the barren hinterland. Had a reservation, our table was waiting for us. Tables are not on top of each other."

"Second time was better than the first. The kitchen was spot on with the fresh seafood special du jour and the service was very attentive, but not intrusive. Right now, this is the best place to dine in Beaverton though the competition is finally beginning to heat up."

"There just aren't that many restaurants in Beaverton to have a nice lunch in a nice atmosphere. I'd had a good experience there a couple years before so chose Mingo. The staff was very nice. We both ordered the risotto with spring leeks, goat cheese and chicken. The chunks of chicken breast were incredibly moist and tender. (Poached perhaps?) The portion size was smallish but enough for leftovers given that both of us ate several pieces of the delicious bread. The small mixed greens salad was enough for both of us to share. Lunch for two with water only was $40.00 ($3.00 for bread). While that seems to be the going rate anymore, it's definite why I don't make dining there a regular event."

"We had their daily lasagna and ravioli dish. Both were good but not great. The soup special was tasty but again nothing to get too excited about. I had been there before and to other Mingo operations on 23d and found it a bit disappointing. We there after 8 and business was winding down and wondered if that had something to do with it."

"Went there twice in the past month. The food is excellent...the stars are their penne sugo al carne and the lasagna...makes a person want to return and try everything on the menu. They have a decent Italian/Sicilian wine list at reasonable prices by the glass. The decor is inviting with an interesting Italian anbience that is unexpected inside a modern building. The staff is friendly and helpful, particularly at lunch. We will definitely return and send our friends/family as well."

"What I like about Mingo is that the ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and inviting, like a piping hot dish of pasta or a well crafted cocktail The food is consistently creative and down right mouth watering. This is your typical Italian restaurant, though the old standards of Pizza and Lasagna are on the menu. It's just that the preparation of each dish is creative without going over the top with heavy sauces or to many spices. Who says food has to be complex to be good? It's hard to save room for dessert, but please do! The tiramisu is fluffy chocolate pillow for your taste bids. Or try the Afogato, espresso and gelato make a dangerously delishes combo. Mingo is a wonderful culinary escape on a dreary, rain soaked Oregon evening!"

"Food was very good. It was kinda noisy for us but others may not think so. It was also kinda crowded so the service was a little slow, especially making that first contact for drinks. Overall experience was good though and I would recommend it to others."

"I've had two birthday parties with friends (along with many other trips to Mingo) and it continues to be one of favorite spots. It felt as if we were served by invisible waiters - there when we need them but not overbearing.
Thanks!"

"I hadn't been to Mingo Beaverton in awhile, but the location worked for a girl's night out. My dear friend and I had an incredible meal - from the antipasto platter to the absolutely mouthwatering mushroom ravioli in some thyme broth sauce that I nearly drank from the bowl. The wine was paired perfectly, and most importantly, the service was both solicitous and not intrusive as we were talking up a storm sans kids. A great night was had by all!"
