"After you find the door in - everything is great. Good feel, very friendly, knowledgeable staff. No arrogance that goes along with many restaurants today, as first time visit made to feel welcome. Food will always get me back and it was great here."

"Read and heard a lot about this neighbourhood gem. A bit out of the way for a downtown lunch but worth the walk. My pizza was a bit soggy for thin-crust (common fault) but very tasty. My friend's sandwich was unique, large and delicious. Would definitely try the place again to sample more from their imaginative menu."

"Friendly staff and atmosphere. One of my favourite pizzas in Toronto (including in no particular order: Defina, Libretto and Queen Margherita). Insalata Di Polipo, octopus salad with fingerling potatoes, olives, sundried potatoes and spinach is superb! Everyone who tries it, loves it."

"The pizza and pasta are good but the pasta portions are small and this place is expensive!! We were two and we order drinks and one pizza and one pasta and the bill was $85. A bit too much for pasta."

"Great pizzas and superb service. We were on a short time frame; pizzas were delivered in less than 15 minutes, along with a great green salad. Big selection of interesting pizza choices with fresh ingredients. Absolutely superb service, friendly, welcoming and efficient. Good and moderately priced wine list. A hidden treasure...restaurant is not on King St. (as addressed) but around the corner on Ontario St...good to know before you arrive. Originally booked for two people, but they readily handled the four of us...thanks."

"If someone hadn't taken me there I would never have walked in. Looks like a takeout dive from the outside.
The staff is friendly and the food is great. May have had my tastiest pizza ever (potato and pancetta) and the pasta is good too. It's just around the corner from the Berkley Street and Alumnae Theatres and a hop and a jump from the Distillery. This will be my next go-to restaurant when I'm in the neighborhood."

"Pizza was amazing, great wine selection, cool location and nice vibe. Veg selection was good as they could do substitutions. Homemade tiramisu was the best I've had. Would definitely go again."

"A hidden gem. Great pizza in an unpretentious setting, reasonable price. Restaunrant hidden away. Despite the King Street entrance, main entrance really on Ontario Street."

"A lively lunch spot for rustic Italian fare which is dependable for high quality food, good service and enjoyable atmosphere. Offers some nice wines. Great for less formal business lunches or group lunch meetings. Always pleased to return."

"Fantastic thin thin thin crust pizza. All fresh and delicious ingredients in everything. The service was friendly despite the fact that there was only one waitress who was run off her feet."

"Fantastic restaurant! Great thin crust pizza in the traditional/trendy style of the moment. Definitely as good if not better than the Terroni, Libretto...and so on...versions. If you think otherwise you take yourself too seriously and should never be allowed to eat pizza again. Pasta was fantastic too. The location and exterior are a little strange, but if you soldier on, you'll be rewarded.
The price is pretty much the same as the others give or take a couple of bucks, but the big upside to Mangia and Bevi? You can be served by people who smile, won't crucify you for asking to take off the mushrooms and will thank you when you leave. A great experience all around."

"The pizzas at Mangia & Bevi are spectacular. The best I've experienced in the city. We were there on a Sunday night, and it was quiet. I've been there before when it was humming, and it's more fun then. The service is always friendly, and they don't upsell as much as some. I am not a fan of wait staff pouring my wine for me, and the waitress we had wasn't very good at it, giving some people more than others, and one person who didn't want any at all had her glass filled before she could stop her.
Other than that, a good experience as usual."
