"Although the manager replaced my steak, he reacted poor. He said they served many steaks and all were good. Maybe true, but mine wasn't. I ordered the butcher speciality I expect excellance, it was not. Was he questioning my ability to know what I like, how good my food is? Later he came and told me I was correct, they cut into it and agreed it was not a high quality steak. He validated my opinion, but that means he didn't believe me until he proved it to himself. Does not promote good customer relations.
Yes he did replace it, but my husband was finished eating so I took most of it home. This was supposed to be a special night, our anniversary, the first nice dinner since he finished his cancer treatment. it didn''t turn out too well."

"Overall my girlfriend and I had an excellent experience here. The parking lot is rediculous to get in and out of though, especially with the vallette service getting in the way. Our waitress left a little to be desired as well, not as personable or friendly as I expected. The food was perfection though."

"Overall excellent choice. Calamari and oysters Rockafeller outstanding. Service very good although felt a little rushed due to SRO crowd in lobby. Par for a Saturday at 6:00 pm.

Then to add insult to injury we were seated--squashed--into a tight booth in the bar area .

"We went on Valentine's Day, which was probably not the best time to judge the place - it was a bit of a madhouse, and they were clearly more focused on getting people in and out efficiently than on delivering a dining experience. The kitchen staff was operating very efficiently (impressive to watch them while we waited). The food was Ok, but nothing really special. Probably should try them on a more "normal" night before passing full judgement."

"We have been to this restaurant on numerous occassions and have always been very pleased with the place. This time not so much. The service was terrible. Having made reservations ahead of time and getting an email stating our table would be ready, it wasn't. Seemed to take forever to have or order placed. It took over 1 hour to get our main course served. The place was not that busy. Hoping this is not the new norm for Jameson's. We probably would try it again to give them another chance."

"Recently went to Jameson's with a party of 8. The food was good (although I wouldn't say it was outstanding), the prices were excellent for the amount of food received, and the service was top-notch. For a party of 8, our server really was on top of everything. I would definitely go back to and recommend Jameson's. Only minor "complaints," were that we felt a little stuffed in there with tables very close to each other. Since it seems like Jameson's doesn't have difficulty filling up, why not take out a table or two for customers' comfort?"

"Not all Jamesons are equal, the Mt Prospect is the Gem of the group. I have been eating here for years and it is always a great meal. Not often do you see places that offer Soup & Salad included with meal. If you go for dinner on the weekend make a reservation, it gets crowded around 6 and the wait is often 45-60 min."

"We have been to almost all of the Jamieson's over the years, but this is the first time we were at the Mt. Prospect one. We had reservations and the wait time was not too bad being that it was Valentine's Day. The waitress was good and right on top of things. We are big ranch dressing people and the ranch dressing has too much mayonaise in it. My husband's steak was small than the one size he gets at the Bloomingdale location. Other than those two things, everything was nice.

"It was a great evening with excellent service and excellent food. Both my husband and I ordered off the extensive specials menu - he the whitefish, I ordered the prime rib. The portions were substantial, we both took home to go boxes. The prime rib was as tender as I have ever had, melted in my mouth. When I ordered the prime rib I asked if it came with horseradish, our server said no, but that the kitchen could make some for me. Points for that! I ordered a glass of wine and was pleasantly surprised at the pour - it was hugh! Our server was attentive, but never obtrusive. Tho' parking is difficult, we opted for the complimentary valet which is the way to go. Prices were fair, an overall A+++ experience. We will be back!"

"Jameson’s never disappoints! The food is always fantastic and there is so much of it. I have the parmesan encrusted sea bass and it was amazing. I typically stick to fish when I go there and they do know what they were doing. My date did have the swordfish and it was a little dry, but still very good. This is a great restaurant with great food and great servers. The bartenders are fantastic, and I miss Frank at this location tremendously. He always made lunches that much better. I would come here every day if I could."

"We had a party of six for dinner. The food and service was very good but seating was very tight. Not much room to move and table positions left very little room in the aisles for servers to perform their job. The noise level was also very high but should be expected when the restaurant is filled to capacity. We will visit again but perhaps on a different day and time to avoid the crowd."

"Our server was the BEST we have ever had. I dined at Wildfire this weekend and really learned how awful service can be. Our server recommended the chicken with artichokes and it was divine! I would go back just to have her!"

"Service was very good and food was good, just didn't like how crowded it was. I could barely move my chair because their was another table almost on top of me. They fit way too many in the dining area and it becomes very loud in there. Pity the poor older people that have trouble hearing!"
