"Went here last night with family from out of town. I heard very good things about this restaurant. The food was absolutely wonderful. Everyone enjoy there food to the point where we did not have room for desert. Service to me was a little slow, but because the food could of been 6 or 7 stars out of 5, I gave them a 5 out of 5 overall. This would be a great place to take that special someone. The restaurant is right next to the Doylestown train station on Ashland street. They had a musician playing great music, but we were sitting really close to him, so I had trouble hearing conversations, which let me focus on the wonderful food.
Go here for a great time, you will not regret it.
Scott"

"Nice place and good service. Boneless buffalo wings and salad were excellent. Filet was good but not worth the price. I have had many other steaks in the $40 range that were far superior. Overall a nice atmosphere, although mainly an older crowd."

"The Thursday Happy Hour specials of $1 oysters and half price appetizers and martinis were the reason we decided to visit the Freight House. All were excellent and a great value. And the outdoor deck seating was a nice plus on a warm Spring evening. Service was very good outside; unfortunately we didn't have the same experience inside. Our food was good and nicely presented but the long wait between courses marred an otherwise enjoyable dinner. It was also puzzling as the restaurant was mostly empty except for the crowd at the bar. Next time we'll go for the oysters and appetizers on the deck and skip the dinner inside!"

"Loved the decor and the large booths felt like we were in our own litte cocoon. My dinner mates really enjoyed the french onion soup. The caesar salad was a bit small and bland, but the crab stuffed lobster was excellent. The mixed seafood grill also got a great review."

"Located at the Doylestown Train Station, in a renovated previous station building, the Freight House is a great place to dine. I love the bar and patio options, but dininig in the main dining room is a treat, too. Beautiful decor, professional service, and wonderful food make a great experience.
The prices are what you would expect for fine dining. I had a flat iron steak with polenta and truffle-oiled oyster mushrooms and bacon. Yum. . . .
Save room for dessert. Worth it!"

"I went during "Dine Doylestown" which is similar to restaurant week. The food was delicious and they were very accommodating when it came to substitutions. The only thing that bothered Mr was our waitress seemed like she did not want to be there at all. I would give the restaurant another try though. Their bar is great especially in the summer"

"I was really disappointed with my meal. I ordered the Seafood Mixed Grill and it was terrible. The salmon was completely dry and overcooked as was the tuna. The meal came with mashed potatoes that were hard as a rock. How do you mess up mashed potatoes? For the price, I expected a lot more. On the positive side, my wine and coffee were really good and our waiter was nice and did not make us feel rushed at all (nice on a Saturday night)."

"We celebrated my father's birthday at The Freight House this past weekend and it truly could not have been better. Our server, Rebecca was awesome. She went above and beyond and helped make the night what it was. Food was delicious and we will definitely be back again requesting Rebecca for our next visit.
Thank you so very much for making this celebration so special."

"We arrived and was greeted and seated right away. The décor was very festive. Our server Patty, was very pleasant and attentive. The Easter Brunch Buffet suited everyone. I myself do not eat prime rib, usually disappointing, but I found myself getting another piece for it was delicious. My mother, who is very picky, enjoyed everything as well. We can not wait for the Mother's Day Brunch!"

"Upon arrival, the hostess was very mild mannered and greeted us but I felt like I was attending a "quiet" event. Our server, Danielle, was warm, welcoming and friendly and gave us great service throughout the meal. The selection of food was very standard and I was unimpressed by anything I ate. When asking a service person about the sauce on the Salmon, she shrugged her shoulders and said "I don't know". The buffet was out of bacon and french toast and the bus boy told us there wouldn't be anymore. We asked a server and she went out of her way to get us some. My 10 year old loved the desserts. Overall, I was not happy with the quality, selection or experience and would definitely not make a reservation for the latter part of a brunch shift."

"Freight House was a lovely dining experience! The help (bus boys, etc) were young and forgot to refill bread basket, but our waiter was very attentive and professional. The tuna was delicious, prepared as it should be, with lovley jasmine rice and bok choy on the side...very tasty and nice for those weight-aware foodies. The filet mignon was also cooked to perfection with fluffy potatoes and a yummy vegetable on the side. The spinach dip was rich and creamy..beware...so good and rich. At the close of the meal, mini beignets (sp)were brought to us, as it was my boyfreind's birhtday. We dined early, but the bar scene started heating up around 9..no realcougar sitings :-) but a good looking crowd prevailed. A great dining experience."

"The food was overpriced and substandard. It calls itself a steakhouse, yet the filet was poor quality and $38.00. We would never go back there again. The service was terrible."

"The overall experience was good (it's a little pricey but still good). Nice ambiance and the food was good. The waiter could have been a little more attentive (i.e. she didnt let us know of the specials, and took a long time to take our food order). We would definitely go back."

"Valentines day with the wife. We got there early and had amazing service and food. Great atmosphere! We heard it can turn into a club scene later in the evening, but it was perfect when we were there - we left around 8pm, and still very nice."

"We walked into the Freight House and loved it right away! The food was delicious from appetizer to dessert. The place is so big (yet warm and cozy) and the tables spread apart, it felt so private. We would recommend it and certainly go back again."

"One of my favorite restaurants in Bucks County. Has a very cool vibe to the restaurant as it's actually a converted freight house next to the train station and is rather quite a large place which helps keep the noise to a minimum. Great ambiance and the wait staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Food was excellent. Everything was very flavorful and the portions were just the right size."

"First time at The Freight House. All our meals were very good and the waitress was very nice. She did start paying more attention to the large table next to us at the end which was a bit annoying. The biggest issue was that the booth seats are very wobbly and every little movement from the person on the other side was felt on our side, making the experience of dining not a very enjoyable one. Also the drinks were very pricey. We would definitely go back but only if we can sit in chairs, not the booth. Too bad b/c the food was so good."
