del Alma Restaurant, located in downtown Corvallis, offers an elegant yet warm and inviting dining atmosphere with a view of the riverfront. del Alma means literally "of the soul", and the entire del Alma staff strives to create a dining experience that reflects their passion for excellent service, warm hospitality, and great food. The menu is inspired by the flavors and cuisines of Latin America, the Caribbean, and Spain and offers items ranging from tapas to full entrees. del Alma brings its passion for the vibrant flavors of Latin America and pairs it with the offerings of the Northwest, using fresh ingredients from local markets, farms, and ranches. The bar hosts an array of libations ranging from south-of-the-border classics to contemporary cocktails plus an interesting and food-friendly wine list featuring both Old and New World selections. Prix-fixe dinner specials are available on Wednesdays and pairing dinners are regularly featured.

"Del Alma is an oasis in the mid valley where very casual dining is the norm. Located in the only "tall" building on the downtown riverfront, Del Alma serves excellent Latin inspired food with a non-traditional flare. You'll find well chosen and rare beer, wine and spirits that buck the latest brand trends. The atmosphere is energetic but relaxed. Service is professional, knowledgeable and enthusiastic about their offerings. Prices are higher than average but reasonable given the quality of dining and experience."

"This was our second time at Del Alma since Sept, and we'd visit every week if we lived closer! Every dish was generous and very tasty. From 5 - 6, there are reduced price tapas. We had a fish of the day taco--fresh Pacific halibut, guacamole and more; and a meat taco--with chorizo, potato, etc. From the dinner menu we had a pulled pork and scallops tapa that was extraordinary--a mound of pulled pork in "chipotle cola bbq sauce" surrounded by seared sea scallops, all on a bed of parsnip puree. Though satisfied with these large servings, my husband clamored to try the "plato grande" of lamb mole. Glad he did! It came with a piece of succulent, tender lamb topped with thin crispy onions on a bed of sweet potato puree and veggies. Awesome!"

"We've been to Del Alma several times, always going the tapas route for dinner, because we like variety. Speaking of variety, we wish that there was a choice of potatoes on the tapas list. The restaurant always gives the option of asking for a side of some kind of potato from the regular dinner list, so that works for us. The food is interesting, and we love saying "albondigas". Oh, and the martinis were great. It's also refreshing to be able to order a pisco sour. The restaurant is on several, set-back levels with huge windows looking out toward the river. Sometimes it can be very noisy, but not intolerably so."

"All I can say is I drove an hour from Eugene for a first date and del Alma was the perfect place. The quality of food, service and ambiance made for a perfect evening. I only wish del alma would open a restaurant in Eugene. Kudos to all who make the restaurant all that it is."

"My daughter and I recently had dinner at Del Alma. We started by splitting two of the Tapas plates, marinated beef tenderloin and scallops with pulled pork. The last was such an interstesing pairing we had to try it - it did not disappoint. Wow. For entres, my daughter had the Halibut and I had the lamb mole. It was a generous portion, though not overly so, tender and flavorful in a mole sauce topped with crispy thin fried onions. It was delightful. The halibut was cooked perfectly and very flavorful. We topped it off by sharing the deconstructed banana cream pie which although not the prettiest, was delicious with wonderful texture and flavor. Our server was very attentive and helpful in making a wine selection."

"As a first-time patron of this establishment, I wasn't sure what to expect. My wife and I were celebrating our one-year anniversary. We were seated at a table for two right next to the bar, which would not have been my first choice but that's OK. I would've rather been seated up on one of the higher levels. The table was a bit long and my wife likes to sit next to me, so she got up and scooted the chair to the middle of the table to be closer. Mixed review on drinks. Hurricane was good with flavor and appropriate levels of alcohol; pina colada way too strong. Duck confit very good but very small portion. Nothing flavorful about the steelhead dish. The desserts were awesome."

"Overall, I thought the food was wonderful. It was beautifully presented and seemed very fresh. The spices were interesting in a good way, unexpected and very pleasant. The dessert we had was lovely and melt-in-your mouth quality. The price seemed fair for what we received, but it was more than we like to spend for a regular evening out. We'll save this restaurant for special occasions. The only reason I gave the food a 4 and not a 5 was because the vegetarian choices were few. But the kitchen was definitely willing to work with us and substituted in a way that did not detract from meal! Our server was excellent and always smiling."

"Flawless food and service from greeting to appetizers to dessert with espresso and cognac. Fresh, creative cuisine incorporated many local sources. Most of the people in our party of 8 ordered the Wednesday $25 special, which includes a starter, main entree, and dessert. The selection of choices on this set menu was impressive. Since we are all foodies (my friends are from Seattle and Portland), we shared bottles of wine and tastes of each course around the group. All members of this critical group were in disbelief about this gem of a restaurant here in little Corvallis; two said this was the finest meal they'd had in recent memory. The pacing of the courses was unhurried, the service attentive. We will surely be back!"

"Found out about Del Alma about a week ago. My friends and I have visited three times since then. We love this place! However, the three course meal that two of them selected on our most recent visit was sub-par compared to the quality of food that we have been served the other times. My three course selection was excellent though.
I highly recommend the burger and the cocktail called Green Acres. Both are outstanding!"

"We had not been to del Alma before, but we decided to try it out during Corvallis Culinary Week. Our waitress offered great suggestions, so we ordered the specials plus an additional plate of tapas. The food was outstanding. Lots of subtly layered spices in each dish. The albondigas were especially superb. We decided we couldn't pass up dessert, especially since it was my husband's birthday. When I mentioned this offhandedly to the waitress, she brought out our molten chocolate treat with a candle, which was very sweet. Then, to my surprise, we found the dessert had been comped on the bill. That was above and beyond. We will absolutely be back!"

"Great food. Delicious Tapas! I have been to Del Alma many times and the service and food have been superb. During our last visit we had a very lovely meal among a very energetic restaurant crowd in the beginning but as the evening wore on and the crowd thinned out we finished with a wonderful dessert, coffee and great conversation in a peaceful, quiet setting and were reluctant to leave."

"My Girlfriend and I went here to celebrate our one year anniversary. I had made reservations and ask for a candle on the table and to be seated in a secluded spot (we are a private couple. They delivered all that I asked for and then some. The dinner was superb and the service was prompt but not overbearing. They brought out celebratory champagne, which was on the house. Also they through in dessert for free, which I am unsure of the deal but hey free dessert. The whole experience only cost me $28 bucks. Could not asked for a better restaurant experience."
