"IL MITO Enoteca was born from my passion for a local restaurant comparable to those I frequented in Italy - a comfortable home away from home, where you can sip a great glass of wine, complemented by an incredible, rustic Italian cuisine.
The Cuisine of an Enoteca is the simplest of Italian cuisines, made with the freshest, highest-quality ingredients that create amazing, complex rustic flavor combinations. Our Enoteca Style menu features homemade pastas, insalati (salads) Piatti Piccoli (small plates), Formaggi (cheeses), Bruschetta, Pizza and Secondi Rustica. It was created so that you may have a big meal with friends and family, or a light snack with your wine.

"We arrived in early afternoon for a Sunday Brunch on Mother's Day. The restaurant was about 3/4 full, and we were seated immediately. Service was very spotty. The make your own Bloddy Mary bar had not been restocked. There were no plates to put your items on. Drinks were slow to arrive and not as ordered. The rolls were very bland. We both had the linguine. We both have had better, and besides it was very difficult to eat as served. Didn't want dessert."

"The location is in a tucked away location. The inside was elegant and comfortable. The servers and hostess were polite and very attentive. I am looking forward to sampling more food choices on my next visit. The noise level was not to loud but being Mother's Day it should be expected to hear little ones."

"Too busy. Terrible service!! Waiter did not come back to our table. Our 6 pm reservation lasted until 7:55 pm without dessert since our waiter again did not return to our table and we had another engagement. The hostess finally picked up our bill and the waiter waved from the distance and yelled "maybe next time you can have dessert!" Very dissappointed."

"I went there for dinner with 3 other friends as they highly recommended it. We were a bit disappointed in the meal. Had the butternut squash soup and found it to be not much more then a broth. Thought it would have had more substance and be thicker. Two of us ordered the lasagna and were very disappointed with it, no flavor and rather dry. I will give it one more try for dinner as my friends felt bad they had recommended this place as usually the food is very good, but this time not so much."

"I had dried tomatoes on a organic chicken. The chicken was cooked perfectly--very tender, but I think the dried tomatoes made for an overly acidic sauce. I'm not saying the tomatoes were the wrong call, I love em. But there was nothing to counter the acidity. It was combined with an already acidic sauce. Still I liked it better than my wife's choice of raviolli stuffed with butternut squash which had a rather bland taste by comparison. Best tastes of the meal were the appetizers and desert. I recommend the Creme Brule."

"Everything was amazing. Went for my father's birthday. This is our second time dining at Il Mito and it has been amazing both times. The chef delivered the food to our table and talked to us for a while. It was nice to see that a chef was in his establishment... on a SUNDAY. Even more amazing to actually see an executive chef that was answering the phone, seating tables, and delivering food. So many others I have seen sit in their office while their talented cooks do most of the work. The chef here clearly has a love for food and the love comes through in his dishes."

"We are never disappointed by Il Mito. The service is exceptional and the food is a wonderful mix of flavors for the palate. We took a couple who had never been to Il Mito before and they couldn't stop raving. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. The only downside to the evening was a large party next to us that was definitely a party. We sometimes had trouble hearing each other over them but that hardly was a reflection on Il Mito."

"We have been going to Il Mito for years and always love their food. This time, however, I ordered the gnocchi as I nearly almost do, and the portion was so small it was laughable. While delicious as always, I got no more than five or six gnocchi, which is hardly a normal portion for the price. Otherwise, the meal was great as always and the tiramisu was fantastic."

"I took my girlfriend to Il Mito to celebrate her birthday. We both enjoyed our meals very much. Service was good. One thing that I would have liked, since I indicated it was her birthday in the notes to the restaurant on Open Table, was some sort of birthday dessert or some acknowledgement. That would have been a nice touch. I wouldn't necessarily make a special trip to go there since we're in the North Shore, but we're likely to try the new east side location. I would recommend though."

"Food is always excellent. Service isn't consistent. Really depends on who you get for the night, but most of the servers there are awesome and they help each other out. Went with a group 4 for special occasion and everyone loved it and raved about the food, from the lasagna to the frutti di mare."

"This cozy neighborhood establishment never dissapoints. I took my valentine here for a relaxing and enjoyable evening out and we were thoroughly satisfied. We had option of dining in Fecker Kitchen, which turned out to be a nice mix of lively entertainment from the Chef himself as he was wrapping up a "counter service" event along with delicious food and conversation. We each had one of the specials that evening, a tenderloin entree and a seafood, mahi-mahi selection. Both were amazing: beef was tender and perfectly prepared served with lobster gnocci and asaparagus; the tuna was flavorful, flakey yet firm served with tender kale and fingerling potatoes. We'll be back again and again!"
