Louisiana Restaurant and its' beautifully ornate surroundings and romantic setting, along with the exquisite French Creole cuisine create a dining experience to remember for any special occasion or night out to eat.
"We had a wonderful evening at Louisiana. The service was attentive, even resetting a private corner table for us to enjoy a quieter more intimate dinner. The duck confit was outstanding yet again. It is one of the main reasons for returning to this restaurant."

"The restaurant is beautiful, the food is very good, but the service is painfully slow. Would not recommend this restaurant only due to the very slow service...our party was only six people."

"The food was DELICIOUS! Expensive but the food was worth every penny and you get what you pay for - we were stuffed when we left! When you walk in - it is like going back in time. We were eating for 2 hours and didn't even realize it."

"We were really looking forward to dining here for my sons Birthday...Waitstaff, the little there was, was very nice...From the start the service was very very very slow...They did give the 3 of us a glass of bubbley to start which was very nice...Took too long to order, too long to get our apps and too long to get our main...We were there from 6:30pm til 9:30pm on a Thursday evening...I think this is the longest I have ever spent dining at a restaurant...
However, the Food was very very good..Well thought and prepared...I was sooo disappointed in the service..Only 2 women serving a room full of people..This could have been such a great experience...Would go back for the food but not the very very slow service..
Sorry..."

"Excellent! From the moment we stepped inside of Louisiana to the moment we left everything was perfect. The decor was magnificent -- so lovely, warm, but elegant. The service was attentive with out being intrusive which was most appreciated. Food -- so delicious, carefully prepared and plated. Great, fine dining experience. Will return. Thank you. HM"

"This was my second trip to Louisiana. Booked a reservation on OpenTable for Saturday 7:30pm. Tried to move to 7pm, but was told that there were no slots available at that time. When we arrived, the large restaurant was nearly empty. Layout/decor is amazing, with a US Southern flare and French influence. The service was particularly slow this evening. Our server kept returning to give us updates on our orders, even without prompting - was it that evident that we had been waiting? Perhaps they were short-staffed in the kitchen. The shrimp and grits were impeccable, but the entrees (gumbo and sea bass) were pretty bland and left something to be desired."

"It was a very slow evening so we received extra special attention. The food was delicious. We particularly enjoyed the crab bisque, blackened scallop entree, and catfish entree. I have had better shrimp and grits, but their version was okay."

"Service was incredibly slow. It took close on half an hour to get our drinks orders taken. The food when it arrived was generally good, except the one hot appetiser was only luke warm when served.
The food was overpriced for what it was.
This was my first time at this restaurant, and it will be my last."

"I made a reservation on Open Table for our dinner last Saturday night. The hostess did not check her Open Table reservations. We had to wait 35 minutes after our 7:30 reservation time to be sat in the cold back banquet section of the restaurant. The bus boy literally spilt a whole glass of water all over my coat. The food was not very good. I had filet mignon, it was cold in the middle. The mashed potatoes tasted old and the greens were completely overcooked. I will never go back. I cannot recommend this restaurant for food or service. I would not recommend making reservations on Open Table. They apparently don't check them."

"Excellent, professional service; impeccable cooking skill; and at a price that is possibly even below the quality of the food. Louisiana Restaurant featured a lobster bisque that epitomized decadence and scallops that were (for lack of a better word) perfectly cooked. The service staff runs like a professional waitstaff textbook would describe. Wouldn't change a thing, and would absolutely recommend this place for special occasions."

"we were soexcited to try this new restaurant based on previous diner reviews. How disappointed were we. They decided to extend restaurant week so there was a limted prix fix menu. Portions were small and all served in a scoop. Short ribs terrible and grits like cement"

"Louisiana seemed to have a great menu inspired by Creole/Cajun style. However, when we went, they had extended their restaurant week special menu. We didn't mind but it's not what we went there for. The menu was pretty boring and when our food came it looked like it should be served at a wedding reception. That said, it was good. The restaurant was empty, but that didn't surprise us since we had read in reviews that it would be. If they stuck to their "theme", it would be so much better. But since they are billed as an event site, that's what they delivered.
On another note, our server was very nice. The wine was excellent - not a huge selection, but both of the ones we tasted were delicious."

"The food was basic and not well executed. The creme brulee was served burnt. The salad was mostly stalk and had very little dressing. For most of the meal, we were commenting that we make it better at home.
The server seemed as though she did not want to be working there. At one point, she just disappeared and we had to go searching for her. When we asked questions, her tone made it sound like she did not want us to ask any more questions.
It is a great space for groups and would recommend it for a private party."

"We went during restaurant wk.....when we arrived it took several minutes before we were acknowledged by the hostest/bartender....the bar was empty. She was wipping down the counter and moving bottles around, she did not even look our way until she was finished. Once seated it took 20mins before a waiter came to the table. Our waitress was not very good.....even though it was restaurant wk and it was packed I watched other waiters buzz around the place being very attentive this particular girl was just horrible!!!!! She was not familiar with the menu. She took 30 mins to produce the cocktail we had already started our first course which took 45 mins to come out. The whole dinning experience was prolonged entirely to long. I was ready to go."

"I certainly hope our Louisiana experience was the exception rather than the rule, but during a Restaurant Week visit, service was so slow that our 3-course meal took 2 1/2 hours. Our entrees didn't arrive until we had been seated for well over an hour, and my wine and water glasses stayed empty through the entirety of the entree course. There was frustration from every table in the restaurant, but little to no apology was made about the sluggish service. By the dessert course, our mousse came out sloppily dumped into a glass with whipped cream haphazardly thrown on top. While the food was good, I won't be returning."

"There were four in our party on last Tuesday evening and there were approximately 30 other diners at the time. We were seated and ordered food within 20 minutes. The first course took an hour and 10 minutes to arrive, with the main courses arriving 15 minutes later. The food was quite fine as has been my experience in the past, but the service was deplorable. The two waitresses were totally overwhelmed and kept apologizing for the kitchen. It will be quite a while, if ever, that I return to Louisiana Restaurant."

"The food was good but it was the worst service I have ever had. This is supposed to be fine dining experience and the food is by no means cheap so the service was completely unacceptable. We waited 20 minutes for our bottle of wine while the restaurant was empty. The waitress had no clue about the menu. We sat with our appetizer plates for 45 minutes and were not cleared until our entrees were on the table. Our waitress acted as we were inconveniencing her. She did not ask us how we were doing once. Dessert is my favorite part of the meal and I did not even want to stay a minute longer than I had to. A 3 hour dinner on a Tuesday night is absurd."

"I must say I have never had a worse service experience in my life. I have eaten here before and thought it was a great place to go. But after dinning here last week I will never go back again. The restaurant was 3/4 filled and we had to walt over 55 Minutes for our salads and soup to be delivered. Then another 45 minutes for our entrees. Since we purchased a set menu dessert was included but they were one (1) short. Even after asking to see the manager twice we never got to speak to them. In fact, the server told us they were to busy to come talk with us. They never even offered to give us a credit for the lack of dessert. BIG Disappointment........"

"A friend and I dined there for Baltimore Restaurant Week. My appetizer of escargot and mushroom was phenomenal - savory and delicious! The duck entree was also excellent, with the duck meat perfectly cooked and falling off the bone. The cherry demi-glace with it was a wonderful complement, savory but slightly tart, with plump cooked cherries scattered throughout. The wait staff was attentive but not hovering, and gave good recommendations on the wine list. The place had wonderful ambiance with the historic setting; I especially liked the artwork - very classy!"

"The food was quite good, but failed to blow me away. The escargot was delicious however! Crab Bisque was a bit tangy from over-use of tomato paste (IMHO). Being a native New Orlenean, I was let-down."

"Due to snow, we were there on a very slow night. The restaurant is quite large and would have felt cozier if the back rooms were closed off or a well placed room separator could make the space feel smaller. Food was tasty, service was good."
