"As an Italian I am always very critical of Italian eateries, but we love Trilussa and are always very happy with our food choices and service. The food is prepared wonderfully and always fresh, hot and delicious. They have a great selection of wines and bar drinks are very well made. The atmosphere is very nice and they have a great little duo that sings old time favorites and really adds to the wonderful ambience. Make sure to visit this gem in Cathedral City. It's worth it."

"For the first time we tried Trilussa and now wonder why we waited so long. Excellent food and service. We were a party of four celebrating a birthday. The waitress made it a very special evening without any advance notice. We all had very different entrees and of course had to share a bite from others here and there. Everything delicious but in my opinion (if you're not watching your waistline) go for the Pasta Carbanara!"

"In town with friends and they said let' s do Italian. Not knowing the area, I quickly went to Open Table, checked reviews and instantly made a reservation. Our friends, Italian by descent, were very impressed. My wife and I were stationed in Italy wit the Air Force for several years in the late 60's. We chose a table on he patio . Our waiter, Jorge, was very attentive and gave great service. We began the meal with Caesar salads. As good as they get! We had various pastas, linguini with clams and muscles, lasagne, etc. all were different and all were excellent. They offer a complimentary sorbet and after dinner sambucca. The owner stopped by our table and we had a nice discussion. My impression, you cannot go wrong here."

"The food was very mediocre at best. We were a party of 4. The service/waitperson was very nice and very good. The food, just wasn't good. I have the veal lemon, which gave new meaning to "sliced thin". The veal was as though it was sliced by a sandwich meat slicer. No one else's dinner at my party looked good either. No one would say anything to be polite since I was treating but what a disappointment."

"Trilussa did not disappoint with its homemade pasta and marinara sauce. The Alfredo sauce also exceeded expectations. Service was somewhat off probably due to spring break crowd. However, our waiter worked hard to overcome this problem. Ambiance tended to be directed to an older crowd with the entertainment supplied by some octogenarians, who were quite accomplished. Overall, the experience was worthwhile. Even our 7 and 10 year grandchildren enjoyed themselves."

"I have been dining here for years, sister restaurant to Sammy G's in downtown Palm Springs. Called re the price fixed $19.95 menu in early March and was told I needed to make my reservation for 5:45 pm or it would not apply. We rushed out early only to be told on arrival it no longer existed. Then we ordered our main courses, 3 of us had the pollo marsalla, and one had a "special" Pollo cream marsalla. It was EXACTLY the same as the pollo marsalla, portion size, sides etc, but the waitress conveniently avoided discussing the price. I hate it when servers do not tell you the price of a special. Anyway, we get the bill and it turns out the "special" was $5.00 more for a little cream that was added to the sauce! Lost a customer!"

"Great food and beautiful design. I would have really loved it except was dining with some very elderly people who couldn't hear any of the conversation. I had to translate everything by yelling! This is not the usual quiet little Italian place but a bustling venue with party atmosphere. We had the Guenoc Merlot which was excellent for a great price."

"Food was great, service was excellent, pours were generous. We hit this place in the middle of snowbird season and were the youngest people in the room. Given that we are empty-nesters, this is somewhat unusual. Live music was talented playing classic 40's-60's sets. Here for half marathon so dined early- atmosphere may change later in the evening."

"I like this restaurant and have eaten here several times. I had the Chicken Marsala which is usually very good, but on this occasion, the sauce was watery and tasteless. The dish seemed to be seasoned with a lot of 'flakes' of different seasoning, but strangely enough, the dish was lacking in flavor. Veggies were excellent as were the other servings of bread, breadsticks, and the service was excellent.
It was just one meal, so I'd hardly make a judgement about the whole place based upon this one dish."
