"We have eaten here many times but the last couple times we have been a little disappointed! Service was fine but the food was not good! Very average food at a much higher than average price!!"

"The name of the place is deceiving.... It's just a hotel lobby restaurant open to the lobby and kiddie rif-raf running through. Spend you calories elsewhere."

"If Grille 39 were a stand-alone rather than tucked inside the Renaissance Hotel, it would probably have been packed on a Saturday evening. The food was excellent and the service first-rate. Only draw-back is that the dining room is open to the hotel lobby. But if you are looking for a nice, relatively high-end dinner with no crowd, give them a try."

"Went for first time. Best brunch in surrounding Indy. We go to brunch every Mother's Day for 30 years. This was a big surprise. Excellent food,ambiance,jazz singer and band. Will definitely return next year."

"Food was good, service was solid. Expensive, but the portions were quite healthy!
Went here for a more "quiet" evening, but there was some reception for a very large group being held in the lobby of the hotel - so the noise in the restaurant was quite loud. Once that group left and went to their banquet room, it was better."

"Went there since this was a 1,000 point table. Service was slow but person. Food was average at best which would was acceptable as hotel food, but definitely would not make the grade as a stand alone restaurant. Very pricey given the quality of food so I definitely will not be going back."

"Who knew a hotel restaurant would be this good! I never would have tried it if not for the reviews on OpenTable. I'm glad I did. We were actually staying in a different hotel nearby. We had a group of 6 and everyone loved their dinner. The service was perfect as well. This is a must do for my return trips to Indianapolis."

"The food was fantastic. My only issue was that the service was slow. We were not in a hurry so it was not that big of a deal but we had to ask multiple times for the same thing. Our server was uneducated on the menu and would disappear for long periods of time."

"We completely enjoyed the experience. The food and service was too notch. The manager built excellent rapport with each table.One aspect to look at improving has to do with noise level. It is almost too quiet..we could hear conversations at nearby tables and the could easily hear ours....maybe turning music slightly louder may help? Everything else...excellent."
