"I've been to Blue Mango before for lunch, but wanted to try dinner there. My wife and I had good table service and a bartender that came to the table to discuss the types of drinks he made. He took extra care to make a wonderful specialty drink.
Our food was just excellent - I really can't say anything else than that. Plus, the owner brought out a complimentary appetizer dish that really showed that he appreciated our patronage. I would strongly recommend this restaurant for a romantic dinner out, lunch or a special occasion."

"Phenomenal food. I had read several negative reviews regarding bland food. I'm a spice/heat fanatic and my wife likes spicy food but not over the top. We ordered our Vindaloo at heat number 3 (on a 1-5 scale, with five being the hottest) and it was moderately spicy. I simply ordered some additional heat on the side and was quickly obliged.
Phenomenal food, although the salad was a little bland. We will definitely be back on our next trip to Raleigh."

"Indian, yes Indian food close to downtown. Very nice atmosphere, decent parking near the restaurant, attentive waitstaff, but the food was just not spicy enough for us. Despite asking for medium, it came out very mild and even void of the usual curry flavors one would expect. Next time am ordering ''hot''. Dishes are plentiful, rice-bowls are enough for 2 people and a to-go box."

"The Blue Mango is a really great place to dine. Great food and a really nice staff. We had a little mix-up on the order and the chef/owner came out and was very sorry for the mix-up. We really enjoyed the food. Later the chef/owner created a sampling dish for us and served us himself. The mix-up was minor but they really care about their diners. I will go back without hesitation."

"I always thought I would detest Indian food until an Indian friend invited me here. Three trips now and everything we have tried has been wonderful. Two trips with large groups & all have been pleased. Amazing new flavor experiences. Try the appetizers, too.
Meat dishes are generous & tender, but they also have vegetarian & vegan fare. The server will ask you to chose how spicy you want your food, from 1 to 5, with 5 being very hot & 1 very mild. I learned that Curry is not a spice, it is a method of preparing food. Blue Mangos curries are delicious. They also have many selections that are not curries. Excellent selection of beer & wine. Before alcohol, with tip, $132 for 4 adults, including 3 appetizers (for the larger group)."

"We have been to Blue Mango several times and the first few times the service was great. The server was able to recommend great entrees and wine. The last time we were there the server acted as though we were bothering him and gave us less than par service. Food is very tasty!"

"I wanted to like Blue Mango, especially since I love Indian food. While the decor and ambiance is appealing, I was disappointed by the food and bar service. I ordered the Blue Mango martini, but I could not finish it because it was watered down and lacked flavor. Unfortunately, the same applied for my food. I ordered my food with a medium spice level, but it was very mild. Also, my dish lacked the flavor profiles and complexity of seasonings that I have come to love in Indian food. I am not sure whether the taste is mellowed to accommodate the locals, but everything was quite bland. My service was okay, nothing to rant or rave about. Won't be coming back."

"Really good Indian food. If you like curry and ginger this is the place for you! Unique cocktails, long wine list. You can choose from a range of how spicy you like your food, mild, medium, hot, or super hot. I can't handle much heat from chile peppers, so I got mild, but I could have gone medium. "We went here on a Sunday evening around 6pm. We ordered drinks from the bar which were pretty good, not really watered down like many places. The waiter kept rushing us to order, but we wanted to enjoy the drinks first. Then he never came back. 20-30 minutes went by and I had to wave him down, which I hate doing at a restaurant. We ordered 2 more rounds of drinks and ordered our food since he kept asking. The food came out before the drinks did! I had to tell him to cancel the drinks, which he didn't seem to care and never even apologized. After dinner, we thought about desserts but another 30 minutes went by of him ignoring us and we were already done with our food. Blue Mango's service totally ruined the experience."

"First visit, a private dinner for my wife and I. We arrived early on a Saturday night, no crowd. Restaurant had a nice clean modern appearance. We greeted and seated immediately.
Service was fast, food presentation good, quality was good. Most dishes available with varying levels of spiciness - ask. We did order drinks from the bar and had a 'Chillirita'?
This was the hottest thing we had ever tasted food wise, made with freshly muddled Jalapeno peppers in the drink including the seeds. IF you like spicy, you will like this. If you are sensitive to spice, make another selection. Overall a good restaurant. Will be making another visit."
