Judas Goat Taberna is a tiny 28-seat Spanish-inspired tapas bar next door to Salt Tasting Room in Blood Alley. Small plates are influenced by Spain, Italy, France, and beyond.
"Went there with my wife for some small plates and enjoy a bottle of wine. It was very cozy and personable which made it feel like it was our own special little hideout. You could socialize with others (if you wanted to) but realistically still have a private night. The food was very good considering the kitchen was bar-top and basically consisting of toaster oven. There isn't really a kitchen per se but what came out of it was very tasty, imaginative and appropriate for the experience. We had a great time!"

"A great place for drinks and snacks and for chatting with the folks at the tables around you. The salt cod brandade and the tuna ceviche are menu highlights. Also, I'm not usually a white wine drinker, but I liked the Azul Portugal Arinto a lot. This wouldn't be a great place to go if you're looking for a huge meal or a private dinner, but it's great for a couple of drinks and tapas and chatting."

"We went early evening on the night of the first Canucks playoffs game so noise level for this place might be off but service and food were amazing. Tapas were fairly priced and delicious. Portions appropriate for sharing and trying more items. Wine was excellent. Mom had a great time and we look forward to returning with our friends."

"Wonderful food- we did the chef's meal, for $30 each plus wine and really enjoyed ourselves. Not sure about the decor, a little too cramped for a romantic night, but we were there early for a meal before the opera and so we had the place to ourselves for a while. Excellent service and again, the chef is amazing considering the small kitchen!!"

"Fun little find in Blood Alley. Had to wait 20 minutes for our requested table but the server was great getting us drinks and a tapa on the house. Unfortunately, it was not something my date or I would eat, so it was a tad awkward when we gave it to the next table. We had a lot of questions about the menu as none of the tapas really had a description and/or were in Spanish, but our serve seemed to get quite frustrated with us fairly quickly. The food was great - I'd recommend the potato chips with cod, the polenta 'risotto' and the crispy chickpeas. Neat spot, ok wine list, of course bill ended up being quite hefty and we were still hungry after. If you're not short on cash and looking for some nibblies, this would be a good spot."

"Great little place. Very small but this adds to the ambiance. The kitchen is right beside you, and there aren't really any tables. Everyone is sitting in bright yellow stools - which give it a reminiscence of a more informal tapas bar - but the simple yet sophisticated design balance out well. The food was visually very appealing, and was also simple but rich in its combination of ingredients. For example, we had an appetizer with Speck which was simply delicious. The goat cheesecake was also very successful. If you sit by the the window, keep your scarf on as it can get a bit cold."

"it was unimpressive. It does not have a full kitchen so everything was heated up in the steamer, no coffee to accompany dessert and one waitress for the whole all though small restaurant. We ended up waiting when ever we needed anything."

"Tiny restaurant in a great location; too bad the experience wasn't as enjoyable as the walk to get there. We went on a Thursday evening. It was busy but not packed. It is small, with dim lighting and has limited kitchen facilities but I hope they get better light to look at what they serve. My trout was decent but my partners pork loin was mostly fat. After our first course and a bit of a wait the server asked us if we had eaten our main course. She said she had not thought so but the chef thought we had. At the time there were a total of 12 people in the place and 2 servers, so each server was looking after 3 tables. We chuckled about that right up until it came time to leave a tip. Also after the first pour we poured our wine each time"

"The staff at the restaurant were so friendly and welcoming. They even knew who I was by name without looking at a book of reservations - they were expecting me and had a table set aside with my name on the table. It's those little touches which make a restaurant special. Each time a meal was presented, the waiter explained the contents of the meal eloquently. Overall a great place to visit, albeit it small and hidden. If only all restaurants emulated this type of service and amazing staff."

This restaurant has good food. although it is tiny and the sitting is not comfortable. We sit next to the kitchen and feel the business. We all wondered how they prepare the food in such small kitchen .We escepially appreciated the smoke pork lion and the goat cheese cake. Already recommened to our friends."

"We were pleasantly surprised, for the place is small with a tiny little kitchen. However most of the food gets prepared somewhere else. We enjoyed a three meal course part of the Dine Out Vancouver event and enjoyed all the different dishes and our server was great as well. Followed by a splendid performance by Ballet BC, our evening was perfect! Thanks."

"Judas Goat was a nice dining experience. I was not blown away by the food, but it was good. Dessert was th best part, I felt they could have produced more exciting entree options. Overall not bad. Not fabulous but not terrible."
