"It was Mother's Day. The restaurant had flowers for each mother. The food and service were excellent. We both had prime rib. Each were cooked to our individual preference perfectly.

"I've always enjoyed the Eagle's Nest. They have recently redecorated it and the only thing that I didn't like about it was the chairs. They sink in and you kind of sit low to the table. Everything else has always been excellent!"

"My wife and I celebrated our aniiversary here. The food was excellent. My wife had a filet and commented it was one of the best filets she had ever had. Service was attentive. It was a little slower than we are accustomed to, but thta may be desinged to insure that the dining experience consumes enough time to insure a complete revolution of the restaurant. We ate at twilight and in my opinion, there is no question that the ideal time to eat here is around sunset - when the sky is darkening and the night lights come out. I can think of nowhere better to linger over desert and coffee."

"Menu was very creative, and everything we ordered was divine. David had the lobster corn chowder which I loved even though I don't like lobster! The entrees were adventurous, the creators of the menu were not afraid to take risks. BF had their signature herb crusted prime rib. And it just melted your mouth! The wine list was really good, and our server was highly educated about both the menu and the wine list. Desert cocktails were also excellent, although we did not order the actual dessert. The view of course is unbeatable. We even got to see a ball game going on! The decor is fantastic, I would definitely go back for our next special occasion."

"We had a couple easy special requests like hold cheese from the salad and our waitress made us feel horrible for even thinking to ask. Everything we mentioned to her (like asking for dinner rolls) was responded with a sigh and "that will take a while". At the end of the meal we wanted dessert and they didn't have what we wanted so we kindly declined and she said "we didn't know you we're coming so how could we have known what you wanted?"
I'm not one to make a scene so when she said she could let us speak with a manager I declined because I just wanted to pay and leave as she was making my whole group of 4 very uncomfortable. A couple minutes later the manager showed up wanting to know what the problem was...we won't be back. Poor service."

"We love it! We were 2 couples celebrating our anniversary and had a great time. Great view, nice food, good wine and great service. They offered a sampler of their best desserts as a compliment for our anniversary.I have heard several comments it is a pricy place, I just think it is as any other top class restaurant in the city, with the plus of the view of the city at night. Nice place."

"We had a wonderful dining experience, a superbly attentive waiter, sweeping views of Indianapolis, and food that was out of this world. Even though it was one of the most expensive restaurants I've been to, I would say it was worth every dollar. My husband and I will be making dinner here a tradition. "We went to the Eagle's Nest to celebrate our anniversary. The staff and the waiter were extremely friendly. The food was very delicious and filling. My wife's steak was a little under cooked but the were able to refire it and return it to her just fine. Due to the occasion and the inconvienence, we received our dessert free of charge.

"Not very busy for a Saturday at 7:00 reservation -- even on a prom night. Decor and service was good. It was cloudy & drizzling, so not the best evening for viewing. Tables seemed oversized and chairs undersized so our food was at chest level. Pillows were available but didn't compensate for the discomfort of the seating if you are petite or not over 6' tall. Food was pricey, but good. Nothing to rave about. Would consider going again, but would ask for different seating."

"Took my nine year old to Eagles's Nest before the Taylor Swift concert. We enjoyed our dinner. Parents with picky eaters should note that there is no true kids menu. The kids menu is a disposable salad- a pice of grilled chicken- and pumpkin mousse. This was fine as it is not a restaurant for kids and my nine year old also ordered steak fries on the adult menu along with her meal. My dinner of crab flaked halibut was excellent and the service was good. Seeing the entire city from the Eagle's Nest is such a nice treat."

"My son chose the Eagles' Nest for his prom dinner because of the view and romantic atmosphere. Had he chosen the "prom" menu, the price would have been more affordable. I simply want to note what a plus it is that a "prom" menu was offered! The waitress offered the couple a complimentary chocolate desert -- "sweet". My son said he would go back again in a heartbeat because it was such a great overall experience."

"Let me start with complimenting the staff! Wow, what an exceptional group of people from the Valet to the Host to the Wait staff! I took my girlfriend, now fiance, there to propose and asked a few things of the Valet and staff to help coordinate with me and their execution was perfect! The food was delicious and the atmosphere and view were a perfect combination for the occasion.

"The view is amazing and worth a visit! We had the crab cakes, which turned out to be two small quarter sized cakes. The entrees were both very good...lamb and steak. A bit pricy for what's you get but the view makes up for it."

"The service was excellent but the food was no better than average with extremely high prices. Wine on the wine list was 50% higher than exactly the same bottles and vintages at similar restaurants. In summary you are paying a lot for great view of Indianapolis and average food. I suggest if you want the view, go for drink and forget dinner."

"It was disappointing that the chef could not accomodate any small dish for a child. One could think they could have thrown together some pasta and sauce at minimum. I would not recommend this restaurant as a family establishment, which is disappointing since it sets atop a hotel...where there are families."

"When visiting Indianapolis, dinner at The Eagle's Nest (TEN) is a must. The dining experience is elegant and the food top notch. The rotating platform provides an outstanding 360 view of the Indianapolis skyline, the State Capitol building, Lucas Oil Stadium, Victory Stadium, and surrounding Marion County. It's truly awesome and moves so slowly (takes an hour for one full rotation) that you almost don't notice that the scenery is changing. Perfect venue for a romantic dinner when coupled with a carriage ride through downtown Indy."

"My wife had never been to the Eagles Nest in the Hyatt Regency so I took her there as part of our 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration. The host who welcomed us remembered that it was our reservation and the flowers I had ordered were on our window table. The server was warm and friendly and helped us make our selection which turned out to be of excellent taste and attractively presented. After our entrees were finished the server offered us free desserts for our anniversary. We were totally satiated by the food, drink and the vista after one complete revolution of the restaurant. We'll look forward to another occasion to celebrate there."

"We were taking a exchange student to Eagle's Nest and it was indeed fun, but it was very loud and we never got refilled on water. We asked repeatedly and nothing happened. The ego of most of the people in the restaurant (workers) was over-inflated as they all thought they were better than the paying customers. I guess that you pay for only the view. Spinning was really nice, but I'm not sure it was worth over two hundred dollars due to the service"

"My petite college senior niece was in town from Columbus Ohio and wanted to see our vibrant downtown. For dinner we went to the Eagle's Nest. Our personable waiter allowed her the half portion of fillet and I enjoyed the succulent rack of lamb w truffle potatoes and a nice malbec. The view of the city was so awesome for her especially with the nice amciance of the newly remodeled space."

My wife's meal did arrive cold so they quickly recook a new steak for her and comped us on a bottle of champagne for the inconvenience. Wait staff was not quite up to par for such an expensive meal. "Prices vs. food quantity were mismatched. I had the duck breast, which was delicious. But at $39.00, I did expect more duck than I got. My wife had the filet and it was so tender but just a bit dry. She orders her fliet medium well. The server asked if it was ok to butterfly the fliet for the correct doneness. I still find this practice unnecessary if the person cooking/grilling the steaks knows exactly what they are doing."
