"Open Table, you did it again! Whenever my husband and I travel, the first place I search is Open Table for special restaurants. You did not disappoint us. We have visited Austin several times and each time, we try another of your recommendations. Chez Zee is fabulous. Our early morning reservation (9:00AM), was very pleasant. We were greeted and taken to our table. Our waitress came to our table in a few minutes. She asked if we had dined there before and because we had not, she brought us EACH a triangle of their famous Creme Brulee French Toast so we could sample. We ordered and were promptly served our selections. All meals were cooked perfectly and all were delicious. CZ, your name has been passed on to friends."

"Every time I dine at Chez Zee I'm reminded of what a gem it is. The food is always good, the desserts are top notch (with insanely large portions) and they manage to actually have consistently good servers. All this adds up to place that fits many occasions. While there last there we saw a graduation party, a retirement party, an obvious first date and a few folks like us - just needed to be out on a Friday night. Stay just like you are Chez Zee and we'll keep coming back."

"Their food was incredible I loved it as did my date. But the waitress we had was not good. She treated us poorly was kind of rude, she skipped over us and ignored us often. I had to flag her down to get something she never checked on us. She didn't even let me finish an order at one point and just walked off. I feel like maybe she wasn't very good because all the managers were nice and the person who delivered the food was really nice and funny!"

"We visited Chez Zee for Mother's Day Brunch. As expected they were packed so we weren't surprised that we had to wait a few minutes past our reservation to be seated. The Hostess was friendly and the waiting area was stocked with snacks and coffee as well as mimosas and bloody Mary's - so the wait was enjoyable.
Chez Zee has a great omelet as well as Benedict menu with almost too many choices - hard to decide. We chose a variety among the 4 of us and we were all very happy with the outcome. We also ordered their French toast, which is delicious, but very sweet - perfect for breakfast desert!
I definitely recommend Chez Zee for brunch - even on the busy holidays!"

"We had reservations for about a month and a half for their popular Mother's Day Brunch. Our table was ready when we arrived at 10:30..but we were seated in a section where 3-4 other tables were just sat. Because our server was slammed all at once (poor planning by staff to put newly arriving guests in same section when everyone there had reservations)....we had horrible service. It took over 20 minutes to get drinks, another 15 for the bread basket. The food was incredible (as usual), but the service and planning for such a popular day was horrible.
They did have clowns for face painting and balloons, which was helpful since it's difficult to keep young children seated when they have to wait almost an hour for their food."

"They have great menu choices; not your run of the mill Items. I took a friend who does not eat any type shell fish or pork and they had many options available to choose from. "Ended up here when searching for similar-sounding establishment. Best quiche I've encountered and we returned for dinner following week. Outstanding. If I lived near Austin I would eat here often.
On another level, I accidentally left my purse. When I returned to pick it up, there was an orderly chain of command followed before I retrieved it. So I say not only is there a high level of cuisine integrity, but personal as well.

"My wife and I went here for our wedding anniversary. It was amazing! The pork tenderloin was very tender and the cherry sauce on it was awesome! My wife got the trout and it was flaky and flavorful. All of the sides were boss as well. The price is great for the tastiness of the food. About $17 a plate. Be sure and come hungry because you have to have one of their deserts! Two pages of choices! We had the orange chiffon and the chocolate torte, both of which rocked our socks off. I have no complaints about this restaurant, as long as the price doesn't put you off, I highly recommend this restaurant!"

"Our first visit to Chez Zee and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Nice ambiance, piano player, excellent service, food was delicious (has spinach and artichoke dip as appetizer and grilled salmon as main course) and presentation was well done. Kudos to our waitress and the valet staff for efficiency and service above and beyond. Only downside was the hostess. We arrived timely for our reservation at 8:15pm. While we sat right in front of her she kept seating others ahead of us. When we finally asked what was going on she said she had been "calling" us for 30 minutes on the buzzer. She had input the wrong number for the buzzer - in the meantime, there we sat directly in front of her. However, it didn't deter from a wonderful evening!"

"I brought a friend of mine there to have lunch for her birthday. She had the Pecan Crusted Goat Cheese Salad and I had the Chicken Salad Sandwich with sweet potato fries. Both were excellent, especially the fries! Bishop, our server, was wonderful. He brought us a complimentary serving of fried pickles, which were also delicious. After our meals, we were stuffed to the gills, but we, somehow, found room for the awesome birthday cake, which was also a gift. It was a wonderful time and I was more than pleased to have given that to my friend. Thank you!"

"We made reservations for Chez Zee to celebrate our engagement with our family - we called the day of, and received amazing service. Our waiter was wonderful, he brought us a special champagne toast AND a serving of creme brulee french toast as an appetizer. The meal was delicious (as always) and everyone found something they could enjoy. We had a vegetarian, a picky eater and a couple of guys with big appetites. I love Chez Zee, and after this experience, I love them even more!!"

"I usually enjoy chez zee for a romantic date night, but we also try to plan ahead to get a table for their Easter brunch. It's a great combination of upscale atmosphere with child-friendly food and service while being reasonably priced (especially when compared to other Easter brunches in town).
Mimosas and creme brûlée French toast for Mom and grilled cheese sandwiches and face painting and magicians for the kids. Win-win."
