"The food is absolutely amazing here. It's expensive... we spent about $325 for a dinner for two: appetizer, main course, dessert, and 3 cocktails each... so be prepared. But, if you want a GREAT dining experience, the place to be."

"Enjoyed our evening, although the experience, and some of the dishes, fell short of expectations. The Sea Bass amuse bouche was a nice burst of flavor to start the evening. For "firsts" , the gnocchi were a touch under done, and not as flavorful as expected. The Scallops were lovely, with the smoked squash beautifully accenting the sweetness of the scallops, but one of the scallops was bit under cooked, and the granola added little to the dish. The beet salad lacked the sweetness I expected, but was a nice presentation. The arugala salad was nice, but we found a walnut shell. The soup of the evening had a rich prosciutto and parmesean broth, and the textures provided by the roasted squash and farro was interesting. For main dishes, the wood"

"We had seen Chef Paul on Iron Chef America, where he had loss by only one point. Planning a trip to Chicago had to include a visit to Vie. We had trouble driving to the restaurant (my fault), so we arrived an hour late. The Vie staff made up for my mistake by their outstanding service. Hostess seated us at a great table, and the server was just outstanding. Our appetizers were incredible, salad was perfect, entrees were unbelievable tasty. Each bite of our entire meal was a pleasant experience for the taste buds. Before the entry was served, Chef Paul came out and spoke with us for about 10 minutes. He sent out a dessert cheese tray of us, on the house. We even received a tour of the kitchen and storeroom. Vie is a must place to eat!"
