"Expected Bagatelle to be another overrated, trendy Meatpacking District spot; it was not! The food here is outstanding (had tartare de thon, rack of lamb, mixed mushrooms, truffled potato puree, etc.); the service was attentive without being smothering. Compliments to Chef Romuald Jung and the staff."

"The food was great if not a little bit expensive. Music was very loud but it meant no one got sleepy and there was a good vibe. Watch out for the sommelier, always pushing the most expensive wines and trying to get you to spend more. Also get a late sitting as they will only reserve your table for 2 hours so get ready to be rushed if you want dessert."

"I was dissatisfied with the waiter telling us we had to leave at certain time because the table was reserved for another party which later to find wasn't true. It's bad service and poor planning on their part if the first thing they tell you as you are seated that you can't stay more than 1.5 hours, especially when we spent over $1,500."

"They completely screwed up our order, never placed appetizer order in and then missed certain entree orders entirely. They also added appetizers and charged us for ones we never ordered. The service was horrible and they were unapologetic about it.
Have had good experience at brunch but will not be going back for dinnet anytime soon."

"It's not a good sign when as you are being seated by the hostess, she informs you in all seriousness, to be done with your meal within two hours because the restaurant will need your table. Well if it's possible, it was all downhill from there. Food all served cold to warm at best. A great scene with not so great food. We will not be going back here anytime soon"

"Most obnoxious staff I've ever experienced at a restaurant. We were literally told after two hours we had to leave because they needed the table. They refused to serve us dessert because our time was up. Asked for the manager and he was even more rude than the waiter. Don't go there unless you want to be treated like a dog. Never again"

"We did not have a good experience here. We were doomed from the beginning. The main hostess had a serious attitude problem. When we were seated our seats were wet. We asked to switch tables since our pants were getting wet from the seat and were told there were no more tables yet 6 tables were open. After having to dispute this they finally moved us. we ordered the gnocchi as an appetizer which was the only highlight of our experience. It was really good. We ordered sea bass as the meal and it was terrible. As we were being rushed through our entire meal by the waitress we didn't even bother to look at dessert. The only nice thing about this restaurant was the decor. Maybe just stick to drinks here."

"Definitely a fun place, good service, good food, but they will "force" you out of your table if you sit too long before the next seating if your reservation is a bit earlier. Great music if you're in the mood to hang out and dance."

"The food was amazing, the waiter was nice and gave really good advice on the choice of the dishes, the venue is beautiful. Everything was great, except the fact that the waiter offered to add truffles in one of the dishes, which ended up costing three times its original price. The clients should definitely be informed of that, because everyone's not willing to pay an extra 70$ for some truffle pieces."

"I was very disappointed with this place. We waited a while to be seated and then were rushed the entire time. Several times the servers went to take our plates away while we were still eating. Then the table next to us started dancing on the booth shaking our table while we were eating. We had to finish our food with the fear that someone dancing in 4 ich heels would fall on our head. I definitly dont mind the dancing but they should wait until you are at least done with your food. This place is extremely expensive for such increadibly poor service. This is the most dissapoined I have ever been at a resturaunt. We were also overcharged us and when we questioned it was just a shrug and not removed from our bill."

"This new restaurant has potential but clearly having some new opening jitters. For starters the place doesn't open until 7:30 so if you want to go for an early drink forget it. The managers were too busy yelling at the staff. And rightfully so, service is spotty. Our original waiter left us after taking our order and other waiters took dessert and coffee and the bill. The food was very good. The noise level loud. The crowd was bustling and all dressed in BLACK! Clearly a restaurant trying to be a nightclub or a nightclub trying to be a restaurant."
