"We eat out for most of our evening meals - usually not high-end restaurants, but we eat at a fair number of those as well. I consider the food at Juniper to be the best that I've eaten anywhere. We're from Houston but also have a place in Edwards, and Houston is an excellent dining town, so we've sampled some formidable competition. Our numerous guests have always been delighted with Juniper."

"The service attentive, ambiance lack luster, the food although above average had a few areas that needed improvement. 1- Seared foie gras was ice cold inside and lacked the perfect outside crisp sear. 2- Squash ravioli was swimming in oil but liked the addition of pomegranate seeds. 3- Wild mushroom soup made of a delicious flavored stock base rather than a cream base but fell down with the addition of soggy croutons 4-Duck breast was not of a quality I'd expect from this caliber of restaurant. It lacked imagination and it was overcooked (med not med-rare) served with a soaked dried fruit compote (mostarda) and a tasteless glaze. A bit too traditional. 5-Sticky toffee pudding was heavenly and not to be missed."

"very good experience - food was terrific and the atmosphere was just what we wanted on a Sunday night. Nice setting on the river - and good wine list, too."

"The food was mediocre and overprized. The tuna sashimi was tasteless and I had to return it. The second choice filet mignon was requested medium rare and came well done extremely salty. The only good thing was the appetizer foie gras. I will not return especially given the number of good restaurants in the Vail. Beaver Creek corridor."

"Very good but I think I was expecting something more based on the prior reviews. The bar has been raised since the last time I've been to Avon/Edwards/Beaver Creek (2008)"

"Juniper has been one of our favorites for years, and it is consistently amazing each time we are able to go. The food is always prepared exactly as you request and we have never had a bad meal or service. Highly recommended."

"We go to Juniper often. It is always a special treat. We go early and get a table in the back by the river. The service is impeccable. The staff is attentive but not intrusive. The food is the best. My husband always gets their signature veal dish. He doesn't even look at the menu anymore! I would recommend it to everyone!!"

"We had a group of eight. No meal ordered was the same and everyone was extremely pleased. We come to Beaver Creek area to ski every year and this new find will be added to our list of "have to go" restaurants."

"Even though we had a reservation and arrived on time, we were forced to wait while locals who came in after us, but who knew the maitre d, were seated ahead of us. Our waiter knew nothing about the food on the menu. Entrees were expensive and just average. There are much better restaurants in the area."

"This restaurant is consistently fabulous! We brought our friends from New York and we all loved it all! The server was overwhelmed and it was a bit annoying when he took care of a large group that came in after us. He brought them their drinks and was taking their orders before we had even gotten our cocktails. This was unusual, but I think he was a pretty new person."

"A terrific dining experience, as usual, at Juniper. The Caesar salad was awesome, and love that light tasty dressing and the fried capers. Veal was very well-prepared, was absolutely delicious, and is the best I've ever had. Portions are just right too. Service and hospitality were exceptional too. The two owners involvement in the service makes Juniper special, and a consistently superior dining experience that you can count on!"

"Menu has changed. We usually go twice in a ski week for the shortrib with polenta. It isn't there anymore and the osso buco was not a good replacement (mine was overcooked). Salads were good and veal chop was very good. Won't be making a 2nd trip back this week and probably will skip it next ski week as well."
