"The service was horrible. We waited 45 minutes between courses, and then some of the entrees came cold. The room was over crowded and I had to keep moving my chair for people to get by. (The fire department would not of liked the number of chairs they pushed around the tables or how very close together they were.)
We had to ask for ice for the water several times and then they brought one small glass of ice for the entire table."

"The servers had us wait for 45 minutes to sit for our already booked table. I had booked a table for a romantic night with my wife at 7:30pm. I called them in advance that I would be at most 10 minutes and they mentioned that it would be fine. Upon arriving on time, they sat us at the bar for 45 minutes before getting seated. Moreover, they assigned us a 5 people table next to the exit door after such a long wait!"

"After waiting 25 minutes and not even being crowded, they finally served our pancakes and french toast but said the kitchen is out of syrup and we should use honey instead! In addition, they overcharged us for my drink. And the manager was very snobby from start to finish. Enough reasons never to go back."

"Good food, outstanding service, semi-swank mid-century room decor. Thoroughly enjoyed it, but I used a Travelzoo deal and when the bill came, it was utterly confusing. Still to sure if I overpaid."

"Service was great until the restaurant filled up, then we rarely saw our server. The food was good, but questions about the menu went unanswered and the dessert wine we ordered came out long after dessert and was not what we ordered. We were told, "Try this. And if it's not what you want we can go next door and see what they have." What we ordered was something listed on the menu, so I am unsure why this was so confusing. I doubt we would return."

"I had been here once before it was a lot of fun, but Saturday night the hostess was rude made us wait 45 min, the busboy almost spilled all the food on me since he was in a rush, and I didn't like crowd."

"Unusual mix of dining and 'club scene' with a DJ spinning dance music in the upscale all white chandelier dotted split level room - most patrons were moving to the groove in their chairs or shaking it at the bar - the mood is festive - great for groups or a date night where intimate quiet talking is not required"

"Overall experience was good but I think the drinks and food are overpriced.
There was a DJ there playing tunes from his apple laptop - the music was much too loud for a small restaurant.

"We had a great time...great waiter Dean...very attentive. Place is very pretty, the staff in general very great. I would NOT describe this has a French restaurant. I would have given them a better food rating but the Sea Bass was not good. Baked and somewhat soggy..sitting on top of Quinoa.
I switched with my husband and had his steak...way better. For my taste, this is a good place for steak since it is part of the STK group. Tuna tartare appetizer superb! Banana cheesecake also excellent. Nice pour of wine by the glass...but the cocktails for the price are skimpy...Martini glass 3/4 full for $15!!!! Measured pour for sure. All in all we will go back and order differently...nice clientele and DJ"

I bought a package through Travelzoo for three, 3 cocktails, 3 appetizers, three entrees and one dessert to share.
All we got were 'no.'
Two of us have arrived. Can we be seated? No.
Can we be seated away from the loudspeakers? No.
Can you turn down the racket? No.
Can we have glasses of wine (same price) instead of the cocktails? No.
Can we have a flashlight to read the menu? There is only a votive candle on the table. No.
Can we have the fried calamari for appetizer? No. The mussels? No.
Can we have the banana cheesecake for dessert? No.
Was this meal enjoyable? No."

"Feels like a restaurant that just opened. Also this is a late dinner crowd so if you want quiet go early. If you want something more energetic go after 8. Travelzoo voucher holders beware. It is the least flexible restaurant of any we have ever gone to with a voucher - don't expect anything off the TZ course unless you want to pay for it! Also Bagatelle is co-located with STK (part of the same restaurant group) so don't let the lack of street and building signage distract you from the destination..."

"Although the food was good and the service excellent, it was not value received to justify the expense. I can understand an establishment adding a guaranteed gratuity onto a tab for a large party, but we were only 2 people and they added a whopping 25% onto the bill. I have rarely seen that done in the US for a 2-person party and found it very off putting."
