"This restaurant was very closed to a hotel we stayed that was very convenient for us to grab a bit to eat. Good pizza but only draw back is service charges (tip) of 18% was already included on our bill automatically. We did not think we received 18% of services. We went out every meal during our trip (my husband stayed NYC for a whole month and I stayed 6 days) but none of restaurant included their tips."

"Went here for dinner with the family. The lasagna was the best we had ever eaten. Same for the veal parmigiana. We chose this restaurant because its hard to find veal parm on the menu at many restaurants, and that is hubby's favorite. We were not disappointed. Seated quickly (we had reservations) and the food came quickly. The pizza looked delicious. Plan to return to try it."

"Went there for a quick informal family gathering (group of 16 people). Food was inexpensive and not very fancy but very tasty, pizza crust was particularly good and crunchy. All the staff was very friendly and did a great job, and they even found a French-speaking waiter for people in our group who didn't speak English. Overall a great experience. I will be back."

"We went on our way to a broadway show. They were very kind and accommodating. We enjoyed an appetizer and pizza. They were so nice and kept our pizza there for us to pick up after the show. Extremely friendly, yummy yummy pizza"

"Very friendly little neighborhood place. The food is surprisingly good. Hope you like Garlic cause they use it liberally.

"My party of four arrived after the theater, at 10:30, so they were not that busy. The staff was very friendly, and the service was top notch. Our waiter was outstanding. The Pizza was great, too! Will definitely go back there again!"

"Incredibly friendly staff. The chef, the waitstaff, the bartender (who may have been an owner)stopped by the table. We did have a very cute 8 month old with us which may have been the reason, but we all sure felt like regulars even though it was our first time. We enjoyed our meals, including desserts. The only surprise was that for our party of 4, an 18% gratuity was automatically added to our bill. Since I tip 20%, that was fine and they did mention it as I was handed the bill. It's possible it was mentioned somewhere in the menu, but I didn't notice it. All in all, we enjoyed ourselves and will visit again."

"Patzeria is a great little Italian restaurant, very convenient to most Times Square hotels. It's small (seats 50)so get a reservation. I strongly recommend it for families visiting NYC. They offer a quite a variety of options on their menu, the food is excellent, and almost as important, it's affordable. Our entire meal for a family of four with a bottle of wine was about $100 before tip. They have several large screen tv's in the dining room/bar area so if you want to catch the Yankees or Knicks you can do so while eating dinner. We had a great time there and I definitely look forward to eating at Patzeria again!"

"This was a gem I happened to find at the last minute. My daughter and I saw a play and wanted to grab some dinner afterwords. From the moment we stepped foot inside, we felt like we were family. The owner mingled the entire time, the bartender had the funniest laugh and best personality. Everyone was so friendly.....My daughter and I both had the fettucine alfredo which was A++++++. For dessert, I had the tiramisu which was the best I've ever eaten.omg, this place was amazing!!!!!!"

"We made a reservation but it didn't appear that they had set aside our table for us, so we waited at the bar for about 15 minutes for our table. The owner (I assumed that's who we interacted with) was super friendly, and he made up for the wait by his attention to us throughout the meal. We would definitely return. "Service was outstanding as we were greeted immediately upon entrance and given out a shot from the bartender/owner. Waiter was equally attentive and courteous. Did not give excellent for food as I was a little disappointed with the grandma pizza, which I had read good reviews on. I was expecting a thin crust type (ala Adrienne's) but it was more along the lines of a sicilian kind, along with packing some major heat. My husband liked it a lot since he likes doughy and spicy pizzas but the kids and I were grabbing our waters. On the other hand, the veal special (medallions with spinach and some kind of melted cheese in a creamy sauce) was tasty. The complimentary garlic bread was very nice as it was hot and made with fresh garlic."

"Patzeria's Family and Friends is a unique NYC experience, a restaurant where the food is good and the price reasonable. By NYC standards the price is down right cheap. As a mattet of fact i have spent as much for breakfast for 2 in the city as dinner for 2 was at Patzeria's. Since we were doing an early pre-theater dinner we skipped appetizers and went right to entrees. Both the sea food fra diavolo and the shrimp scampi were very good.
After the theater we went back to Patzeria's for coffee and dessert. We had a canolli and a huge order of zeppoli, both excellent. I had the opportunity to speak to one of the owners who said that he and his partner wanted to provide a reasonabley priced good food in mid-town Manhattan."

"We were really looking forward to eating there since we had read such good reviews, but we were disappointed. The pizza wasn't really that good. We consider ourselves people who know pizza; we have eaten it all over New York and in Italy. We make it at home. Very expensive, also. We found much better at other places in New York."

"I found this place while I was looking for a reasonably priced meal before a Broadway show. From the picture I thought it might be a hole in the wall but the menu looked good so I gave it a shot. It was a pleasant surprise. The inside is very nice and I was welcomed by the friendly bartender. The food tasted very fresh and came out pretty quickly. The caprese salad was delicious and the meatballs were also quite tasty.I'll definitely go back."

"Great little find to catch dinner before a show. Staff is very friendly and there to make you feel comfortable and invited. Food was very good and freshly prepared. While they did not have a "childrens" menu, there are tons of food choices that are kid-friendly including pizza, grilled cheese, ravioli, and pasta your way. If you are attending a show, just let them know in advance and they'll be sure to get you there on time. Definitely would recommend."
