"We do not stray far from the tasting menu- always a surprise & a delight. Each plate comes out beautifully composed, a piece of art. It is tough to take photos as the dish is almost always half consumed before I remember to take a photo. The dishes are just as delicious as they are beautiful. A sampling of some of the dishes we had- tuna carpaccio with horseradish cream, tobiko and nasturtium leaves, green pea soup with house made sour cream, rosemary and crispy proscuitto, papperdelle with lump crab meat and uni butter, farm fresh egg with truffle butter, maitake mushroom and asparagus shavings, halibut with israeli couscous, olive and tomato salad and pesto, and the finale, goat cheese sorbet with poached apricot & berries."

"7:30 reservation, 8:15 seating, 10pm check...little ridiculous considering we weren't drinking. Ten minutes to be acknowledged for beverage and food was twenty minutes between courses which seems longer when your server doesn't say a word to you. Dining room very loud. Porkbelly needs salt, wife loved agnolotti, pork chop was good but accoutrements were lacking. Desserts were enjoyable. Our server was inattentive. His lack of care negatively impacted our meal. Would not return."

"This was our first dinner at Majolica and it surpassed all of our expectations. My husband and I enjoyed one of the best meals we have had in years....what an exceptional place! The creative attention to detail by the chef and the emphasis on local and seasonal ingredients were really appreciated. This, combined with a server who was very knowledgeable about the various dishes and attentive to our needs made for a great evening. We cannot wait to return."

"Food was tasty and well-prepared. Great that it's BYO. Restaurant is quiet enough to have a conversation without shouting, even though we were seated right near the semi-open kitchen. Service was pleasant but slow, even though they didn't seem all that busy. It took a long time for us to have our order taken and some bread brought to the table. I finally had to flag our waiter down so that he didn't keep walking past us. It's a bit of a hike if you don't live out that way, but worth visiting if you want some good food outside of center city Philly."

"Went to Majolica for first time, taking my girlfriend for her birthday dinner. We enjoyed the 8 course tasting menu and had quite the variety of different foods! Our favorites included the chocolate banana crepes for dessert as well as sushi style tuna with caviar. Duck and lamb selections were also nicely presented and very delicious! Definitely left very satisfied and very stuffed! It was a night we will remember for a long time."

"The restaurant is sure a Phoenixville Gem. We had never heard of it before. My wife and I were given a gift certificate there for Christmas. We went and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It is not the cheapest place but worth every penny. It is a great place for a birthday, anniversary or any special romantic dinner. My wife is in a wheelchair and that was no issue. I let them know ahead of time and they had a lovely table all ready for us. They did not make her seem like a second class citizen. Lastly but not least, all the wait staff was great and very knowledgeable. This is over our price range but well worth it and we will be back soon. Please come enjoy this gem and remember to bring your favorite bottle of wine."

"We were disappointed, given the reputation. Every dish was over-salted. I love cooking with sea salt, but it overpowered the other flavors. Short rib was dry and served in an unappealing, soupy sauce. And despite having made a reservation several days in advance, we were seated directly in front of the open kitchen, a distractin and not-so-intimate location for a dinner date."

"Overall good experience. Food interesting. Service friendly. Took a little long to get main course even after friends joined us. Great for people with no time limit. A little echo-ey and noisy once it filled up. I would recommend acoustic panels to absorb some of the sound. BYOB is always good. A quick hello from the chef would be perfect. This is not your average menu. It's slightly adventurous and fun. I think it's a great place to go and surprise a guest/date. Not for the thrifty shopper, but it is different and an experience, not just a meal. Try it!"

"The food at Majolica is always wonderful, especially appreciated by cooks/foodies like we are. Our only complaint - and one we have voiced repeatedly to no avail, is that they are incredibly stingy with the bread. Andrew's team makes a fabulous foccacia - but you practically have to beg to get one piece, let alone a second one. And the teaspoon of olive oil that comes in a thimble is even more sad. We only eat bread once a week - and sadly this is a big negative for us. If you are a bread lover - this is probably something you should know ahead to avoid the disappointment."

"One of the best restaurants around. Been a patron since opened - 8 years ago. Make it tradition to celebrate special occasion here. The Chef is always gracious, flexible, talented. Chef Deery has that extra panache without pretension. Goes above & beyond. Makes dining an event - not just dinner. He procures local, fresh ingredients - conscious about where food comes from and presenting it to the patron. The ambiance is elegant without being obnoxious. It's simply lovely. The food is clearly always one of the best meals I have eaten. Again, it's a wonderful event. It's luxurious. The serving staff are always terrific - balancing tending to your needs without being over or underbearing. Chef Deery changes the menu often - fresh!"

"The chef was on his game. The old issue with portion size is gone. We enjoyed the mixed olives, chicken livers and pastrami salmon for starters. My skate entree was moist and flavorable. Our table was in a corner in the rear of the restaurant where there was plenty of room and the noise level was acceptable. Seating by the kitchen is still crowded and noisy. Will definitely be returning."

"A place like Majolica shouldn't be in Phoenixville, but thank God it is.
As usual, Andrew Deery's eclectic menu has something for everyone. I ate the Fried white sweet potato dish and it was outstanding. I don't particularly care for mushrooms, but these weren't your ordinary mushrooms with the sweet potato. The dessert was superb. And truth be told, I chose what I would eat for a meal based on dessert. The molten chocolate cake with salted caramel ice cream was better than I expected.
It really is worth the hassle of trying to find parking in Phoenixville!"

"Very disappointed with entres. Had been planning this dinner for a long time. Table ordered two different entres. One was pork dinner. Very fatty - guest did not even finish and they took that off the bill. Other was Beef short ribs - very dry - no juice or sauce on it. Served on Onions ! No other vegetables. Dessert - $9/each for very small portions. Will not be going back."

"While we have been to Majolica several times, this particular experience was completely lacking. The menu itself was limited in selection. I have rarely looked at a menu and not been inspired. My endive salad had more core than leaves. The Scallop appetizer, although beautifully presented, was flavorless. The liver appetizer was the best one at the table; it had great presentation and was a delightful crispy bite. As for entrees, the braised short rib was bland. The mackerel was too fishy tasting and had no other seasoning present. I did enjoy the crepes with Nutella dessert. Our server was noticeably not interested in banter or engaging with us, but he was polite."

"i ordered the short ribs and got a rib. Was very disappointed in the size - a piece of onion accompanied it. The flavor and texture was ok. If you put nothing else on the plate at least you can offer a starch and a vegetable at an additional price. My friend ordered the sweet potato dish. Quite expensive for a potato!"

"The tasting menu is an amazing experience. There's a choice of 6 or 8 course tasting menus (the 6 course was certainly enough for us). Small plates that add up to just enough with some items that I might not ever have tried on my own (e.g. Cauliflower Soup) but all turn out delicious! Your whole table has to sign up for it, but all of us really enjoyed it. I've had it on three different occasions and enjoyed it every time."

"We loved it! The staff was very attentive and extremely professional and very knowledgeable about the menu. Presentation was excellent! We ordered most of the appetizers on the menu, each was very tasty! The Bronzino was excellent as a 2-person entree. We would definitely recommend Majolica!"

"Great BYOB. Only negative was that we were seated where we were looking directly into kitchen. Felt more like a traffic area than a table with servers going back and forth all throughout dinner. I'd definitely go back, but request a table in the main dining area."

"The experience at Majolica was outstanding from start to finish! We shared the beet salad with calf tongue and fresh horseradish appetizer and main course of ribeye for two. It came with small red potatoes and green beans, but we also ordered the caramelized brussel sprouts. Dessert was fresh, hot doughnuts, with creme and chocolate to dip them in. Every course was as good as I've ever experienced! Our server was attentive, helpful and knowledgeable. I believe that the combination of great service and superior food make Majolica not only one of the best values in fine dining, but also one of the best restaurants in the area!"
