Welcome to Chateau of Spain! One of the best Spanish restaurants in Newark NJ not only serves a great selection of traditional Spanish specialties, there is so much more! Our dining room serves both classic Spanish and Portuguese cuisine in an upscale atmosphere. If you’re in the mood for lighter fare we serve a variety of great American classics in our casual bistro bar.

"The picture shown on their web site is of their private party room on the second floor and is far superior to the dark and dingy bar room restaurant facility located on the first floor where the general public eats. The food quality was poor and mostly fried. A local hang out with lots of noise. The portion sizes were generous."

"Food was delicious had the stuffed sole special - probably the best I've ever eaten. Restaurant itself is nothing to talk about very dark, noisy and service could be better. Over sized TV's are on the walls giving it like a sports bar feel.
If your looking for good food and don't care about the atmosphere this is a great place."

"Two other couples and my husband and I went...and had a thoroughly delightful and relaxed evening. The food was delicious, the service was fabulous and we all enjoyed our evening. I would definitely recommend it. It was obvious it was a neighborhood restaurant and that was really nice to see."

"Been here many times. The food is always great but sometimes the service is a little slow when not crowded. The upstairs is great for a more quiet and romantic scene. The waiters are always polite but they need to let customers know when food is taking a while and always inquire after if everything is okay. Appollo is the best. I have yet to have a bad dish, no matter what I ordered."
