Good Food! Good Wine! Good Life! is the mantra at 626 on Rood...Modern American Cuisine and Wine Bar. Grand Junction's premier restaurant and wine bar offers casual, yet elegant surroundings with an exciting menu concept. Located one block north of Main street in Grand Junction, guests can stop in and enjoy the sharing plate menu or a traditional dining experience with an ever-changing, eclectic, seasonal menu. Sharing plates of lobster mac and cheese, Ahi eggrolls, deconstructed shrimp taco or full entrée to include Black Angus New York Strip, Roast Rack of Lamb, House made Squid Ink Pasta as well as Sweet Potato Agnolotti, Vegetarian and gluten free items and fresh fish that is flown in twice a week from Honolulu. 626 features over 40 wines by the glass with the list done in "flights". Come for lunch and have a half glass! Burgers, organic salads, creative sandwiches are served six days a week. If you have a special request whether it dietary or occasion, just give us a call.

"Hands down the best restaurant in Grand Junction. Expensive? Yes but very worth the cost.
I had no clue food could be so delectable, until I visited 626 on rood. Every time I go, I try something new because I have NEVER tasted something that I didn't like. Even food that I typically don't like, I like there. I don't know how they do it!"

"I travel to Grand Junction regularly and always eat at 626 on Rood on one of the evenings. I travel all around the country, and would have to say that this restaurant ranks up there with my favorite five or so restaurants. One doesn't need big city reputations to put on a product like 626 on Rood does. My VP and his wife came from Pennsylvania for a conference last week,and loved the restaurant. It would have been more romanantic without me."

"This was my first time at this restaurant. My bison steak was VERY tender and dessert was delicious. The waiter was excellent! However, the ambience left a lot to be desired. It was very noisy. I had requested a table in the most "romantic spot" in the restaurant, preferably near the fire or with a view. Neither scenery nor fireplace exist and, in spite of our early evening reservation, they seated us beside the wine cooler in what was probably the most high-traffic area and was the worst location for "romance."
I'd recommend the food and the wait staff, but the rest made the price a bit unreasonable. The wine list was limited and even those listed were not necessarily available."

"I have been a couple times but this last trip was for my Dad's 62nd birthday. We were all in the mood for steaks and the NY Strip was well seasoned and we had no complaints about any of it.
Willow was our server and she was very knowledgeable about the wine list and performed her tasks well. If she is your server, you will be very pleased.
I hope you enjoy it because I have enjoyed it on each of my visits."
