"Our server Stephanie was great. She was highly attentive and quick to respond. Our only beef (pardon the pun) is that our Porterhouse for two felt like a Porterhouse for one. The portions were small. The Arroyo's porterhouse for two is a much more sizable steak and a better value."

"You can always find good Italian, Californian, or any other Ethnic food you think about in Pasadena but finding a steak house was so limited. Either Houston's or Arroyo Chop house, the latter being higher scale. Ruth's is a the answer for a good steak, the meat was tender, delicious. The serving and the style is so similar to the Chop house even the prices. I preferred this one as the other one is dark and I prefer windows and light.
Our waiter was so friendly and knowledgeable, the hostess has a nice smile with pleasant welcoming face.

"My husband and I went there for our 38th wedding anniversary. It was our second time (we went there for Valentine's and liked it so much, we returned). The people were very attentive and accommodating. Our waiter, Gary, also served us at Valentine's; he remembered on what occasion we first came (I couldn't even remember) and where we sat. The food was exceptional (my husband got the cowboy steak and I chose the rib eye on the prix fixe menu). We were treated to creme brulee on a square plate with "Happy Anniversary" spelled out in chocolate, along with chocolate cheesecake and dark chocolate almond clusters...really good! and 2 glasses of champagne. We had about 4 people taking care of us."

I must say I was quite disappointed with this locations performance and food. I had a very pleasurable dinner at the Ruth's Chris location in Anaheim about a couple months ago. That was my first time and I enjoyed every second of my meal. The service, food and ambiance were spot on. I expected nothing less of the Pasadena location at the time. I decided to eat here for my family birthday dinner. I was excited since my sister and aunt have never dined at a Ruth's Chris before.
I made a 7:30pm reservation on a Wednesday night. Upon arrival they told us that we had to wait a few minutes since they did not have a table set up. No problem. We were seated a few minutes later.

"Stuffed mushrooms were awful, tasted like dish water, had to send them back. Waiter was a bit rude. Every time I tried to hand him my card to pay, he kept refusing it until he actually brought out the check. Also requested a booth, they promised, did not receive. We used to love it here, but things seem to be going down hill. If were going to spend hundreds of dollars on steak, we would appreciate the quality to be up to par along with the service. Manager joked about us complaining about the stuffed mushrooms, although he took them off the bill, he was not humble."

"I have always LOVED Ruth's Chris because they have excellent steak and I've never had something on the menu I don't like. So, we took our friends here to celebrate a birthday after I had raved about it and was disappointed to find the service had gone down a few notches since I was last there. Considering it's such a nice higher end establishment service is usually on point, this time it was spotty, waitress clearly didn't care much for doing great at her job, she wasn't outright rude but she seemed annoyed when my friend asked about the wine selection and was condescending to her when she asked if one of the wines was sweet. So sadly, service was a low but thankfully the food was delicious, perfectly cooked steak and and excellent sides"

"My husband and I love Ruth and Chris'. We went for our post date V-day dinner, and we were glad it wasn't our first time. We were seated in the far left area of the restaurant. Our server was not attentive, eager or on top of timing. Our food came out in the middle of our salad, and our appetizer was still 1/2 eaten. Our table was completely covered with food, each item growing cooler with every passing moment. I will not dine here again during any busy day or even week. Totally disappointed this time!!"

"The food was great. Unfortunately, one of our guests received her entree more than 20 minutes late after the rest of the party received their meal, as the server forgot to enter her order of sea bass in the computer in a timely manner. While the server tried to made up for the mistake with free desserts, our guest of honor was quite displeased. The steaks were cooked perfectly and tasty. Amanda, the hostess was great. She gave my daughter a little cow to play with, and was swift with our purchase of gift cards."

"The steak was amazing! I had the fillet and my date had the rib eye. Both were excellent. The side dishes (mashed potatoes and creamed spinach) were good, but not great. The service was good, but not exemplary. The environment was very attractive. We would definitely return!"

"The restaurant was probably too busy on the specific evening when we visited...I rarely had to wait for over half an hour (despite our reservation) and our server was simply too busy to pay attention to us that evening....I've been to this Ruth Chris before and my other experience was definitely more pleasant though!"

"I don't know if it's the Pasadena location or all of Ruth's Chris, but the quality of the meat/steaks seem to have dipped. This is the second time in about 2 years I've been to the Pasadena location and I have felt the same way both times. I have been to Ruth's Chris in Palm Desert and Irvine and recall their steak to be much better.
The service is outstanding and attentive, as always. Never have any complaints about Ruth Chris' service."

"I had a wonderful dinner with my girlfreind. Service was top notch immediately put at ease and felt welcomed. The steak came out sizzling hot with great flavor and cooked perfectly. "Went here for the dine La event. Got the steak house, petite filet with crab cake on top,
And for dessert, had the mini cheesecake and berries in sweet cream sauce. Everything was very yummy. My steak was cooked just right. Service was great. All for $45. I would definitely come here again. Thanks for the great food!!!!"
