"This was an average Ruth's Chris considering where it was located. Wife's petite filet came out and was horrible. My cowboy ribeye was great. We did mention that the steak was bad and the manager said he would make a new one. The chef did bring out her new steak and apologize and that was fine. The next steak was good. Then I got the bill and was charged for 2 filets. I mentioned this to the waiter and he corrected it. i know this was just a miss step but I was surprised instead of providing us a break for their mistake I was being charged double. I do love Ruth's Chris and will go to the other ones. Just a bummer since we were on vacation and had long flights to get this type of quality from them."

"What can you say about a restaurant that does steaks the same everywhere you go?
We've been to the Honolulu, Wailea, San Francisco, and now the Kona locations, and they're all the same SUPERB!
Except for about 20 minutes while the sun was going down and hitting my wife straight in the eyes, everything was the BOMB!
We took in the early bird special (from 5-6 pm) which included soup or salad (which we ordered one of each and shared), the standard rib-eye, one side each (shared again), and one dessert each...DIDN'T SHARE! Each set was $55 and it was more than enough food!
We are already planning our next outing!"

"We have dinner at Ruth Chris every time we are in Hawaii and it is exceptional as usual. They have really perfected the steak dinner and we enjoyed the petit filet and shared the 3 oz lobster tail, both of which were cooked to perfection and delicious. The server was attentive and recommended the 2007 Duckhorn Paraduxx, which was an excellent pairing with our filet. We started with sharing the Caesar salad and we had the sauteed mushrooms and sweet corn as sides. We declined dessert and thoroughly enjoyed the meal!"

"We ordered the Rib-eye steak and Veal Chop and rated them both an 8 out of 10. The steak was good but we had a much superior tasting one at the Bellevue, WA location. The Veal was okay just reminded me of pork chop so nothing fancy except the peppers added some zip to it which it needed; so we probably won't order both of these again. However, we will return again to try something different. There is a Prime Time Special which is a great promotional for everyone to enjoy."

"There is a lot of competition in the Mauna Lani area but Ruth Chris is a reliable place to go to if you want the best steak with an intimate setting. There is no view except for the food, which is succulent. The wait staff is very formal, yet friendly and observant. I really liked how they never let my glass of lemonade go empty. I wish other restaurants in the area that are more expensive would step up to this level of service. It was refreshing to feel like I got what I paid for, thank you very much for a wonderful meal."
